  1. Its a hell of a nice opportunity for Orton.

or just going to be hell if they cant protect him from Suh kicking his nuts.

I expect a fistfit if it gets ugly. I think the teamm circles the wagons around Kyle Orton Sunday and they have the most emotional game of the year for them.

and i am thinking win. A rough and tumble bloody Win

    Go Bills !

I am thinking the receivers are going to be so giddy with getting the ball delivered where it is supposed to be that they will make a ton of plays and in the end, Bills win big!

  2. The 1st time that I mentioned that on here I got RIPPED for "spreading unsubstantiated rumors." What I've been told is that it comes from his dad. His dad always questioned the doctors' diagnosis and asked for further testing. His dad also used to make him constantly request other opinions. He would then have Jairus stay out longer than the doctors' thought was necessary. It used to really bother the medical staff.

he and Butch played it perfectly, now they can settle in on their west coach sofa with a couple of beers and watch the season go by.

    18m to the good.

  3. It was also a bit revealing that pettine had the cash, relies on a strong secondary, and had just coached him, yet showed no real interest in him

Byrd was not leaving Buf to go to Cleveland... and anyway NO was very quick, they signed him up within hours of becoming a FA.

  4. Valium was very minor trace so likely can be traced to the last time he was on a bender. Valium is good for the DTs, makes the hands less shaky.

Benzodiazepines are considered the drugs of choice for the management of all stages of alcohol withdrawal syndrome, including DTs. They act on the benzodiazepine-GABA-chloride receptor complex, having a similar GABA-potentiating effect as alcohol. Prospective, randomized clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of benzodiazepines in treating the symptoms and signs of alcohol withdrawal and have also shown a protective benefit against seizures.[11] Although they are thought by many to have a high margin of safety, the heterogeneity of the trials in interventions and in assessment of outcomes prevent definitive conclusions about safety and harms.

The longer-acting benzodiazepines, such as chlordiazepoxide and diazepam, appear to be more effective at preventing the serious complications of seizures and DTs than are shorter-acting benzodiazepines such as alprazolam and oxazepam. Most experts recommend that intermittent IV bolus dosing of diazepam or lorazepam is the treatment of choice for drug therapy of DTs. In patients refractory to benzodiazepine therapy alone, barbiturates or propofol, and occasionally other drugs, may be added.[12]

  5. so he got his guarantee and his contract, comes from a good family and knows he will be able to retain his wealth, and is getting out as soon as possible to save the dementia risk.

I think we will be seeing MUCH more of this, with the head injury issue now so front and center. Going forward, guys will get their big contract and the attendant signing bonus then tanking it (with the rest of their lives as their primary consideration).

And I do not blame them.

  6. Could it be more likely (and never known for sure) that he got into a heated, drunken argument with his wife and stormed out, pissed at the world? I can't see the guy getting hammered, going to bed, then sneaking out to go on a rampage in his vehicle.

Very few people deserve to die. I don't consider Rob Bironas one of them. That's extreme.

Not really, he was out of his mind drunk, risking the lives of everyone on the road and every pedestrian, and getting into threatening confrontations with strangers, threatening enough to warrant multoiple 911 calls from different callers. He easily could have taken 4 people with him. next time he might have. this way, there is no next time, and we are all safer because of it.

while possibly no-one deserves it, if it had to be someone, might as well have been him.

    See ya Rob.

  7. Sounds a bit dramatic to me . But the going hard on Woods never set well with me . But i have really no idea what the heck that was truly was about.

Sammy is dropping balls in his hand last week.

Sammy might need to recover his humble

I feel this is a perfect moment for Orton and for the Bills both.

Orton is inheriting likely the best receiver group of his career and a couple of stud tackles.

The Bills are sitting in first place in their division with a stout defense, some weapons on offense, and perhaps require only a caretaker kind of QB.

  8. Yeah. I have no idea why they don't try and for Kujo into the line somewhere. With it being in a shambles as it is, it would be really good to tet some new faces in there.

And for Christ sake will they please put Irbik back in at RG. He was never bad there.

what I read (not sure it is true of couirse) is that Cujo has a degenrative arthritic condition in his knee.

If true, he is never going to be better than he is right now, and it will be a slow decline into an artificial knee in 30-40 years.

    Bo Jackson's hip.

    Again not vouching for it.....

but that is also why Cujo slipped from first round surety to second round question mark.

  9. well said. Very well said. It's not about his average per carry. It's about how misleading it is, especially in the game time situations. A 30 yard run when your either up by a few scores, or down by too many to mean anything as far as a comeback are useless. Too many times, that's when CJ gets his yards. Rarely does he break one off when the game is in the line. It's always when the defense is expecting a pass and are in prevent. Or when they have already given up because they are down by so much.

Comparing to Fred is bad use of a comparison IMO. But Fred (along with many other RBs in this league, not just the top 10) find ways to get those tough yards no matter what situation. They always find ways to fall forward. You think Darren McFadden isnt the only weapon on Oakland worth game planning and defending against? How bout MJD when he was on the Jags? How about either RB from the Panthers when they led the league in rushing before they even had Cam Newton? There literally dozens of examples I could find if I thought for 5 minutes but the fact is I'm pulling these off the top of my head. Good RBs are just good no matter what. They don't need those 15-30 yard runs a few times a game to bring their average up. They are grinders.

I'm not saying there's no use for someone like Spiller. But nobody thinks Reggie Bush is a good RB. At least not for years while he was in NO. He was considered a bust. CJ is about the same. He gives you that factor. But doesn't do it enough to make a difference in the win column.

Reggie Bush certainly has pretty good career numbers. Combined all purpose yards RB has had an excellent career, and he is still playing after forever.

  10. Da'Rick is their secret weapon.

They will keep him non active until at least mid-season then give him a game as a change of pace guy and he will get 100+yds and a touchdown.

Then nothing again for the rest of the season.

If that happens (happened last year) he is better than Mr. Hogan.

  11. I don't think we need breed specific regulations or restrictions for dogs, all owners should be held responsible. We have a large umbrella policy for just such risks. I'll take my chances with my female Golden Retriever. I like my odds better than some other people's. I was told by someone heavily involved in shelters/rescue operations that 65% of dogs in shelters have some pit in them. I go to a no kill shelter on a regular basis and that seems (shockingly) to be about right. I can't swear to the actual number, but it's high and a horrible shame. Is this because of irresponsible breeding or are they just not accepted by most people as being adoptable?

I agree, people should have the dogs hey want. But, some breeds should have a muzzle requirement when in public, and there should be a stricter punishment if your pit gets out from the backyard, than you golden retriever does. including putting the pit down the second time it happens.

Golden retrievers are great dogs! Enjoy.
