  1. I'm missing something here.  I thought that Taron's availability status would be determined at 6 AM and that, naturally, we would know pretty much right away; go, or no go.  Any info yet?🤔

Bills D is going to get shredded all day long by KC. Will look a lot like unchallenged Cincy and late Philly drives against us.

Bills don’t tackle well. Pacheco will have a big day. And we don’t have any immediate win pass rushers other than Floyd who gets 1-2 of those a game.

    mahommes will RUN all day

Could be true, but lest you forget, the Bills do have a potentially high scoring offense themselves.

  3. I hate to be too dense on this but I'm having a hard time reading into the latest injury report.  By that I am specifically referring to the state of health of our DB's.  Yesterday's report said that Taylor Rapp and Taron Johnson were LP.  Any further word/conjecture on that?

Quite a time to have as much in the way of pass defense as possible.  Having Rapp and Johnson in the lineup would be huge.

He'd likely be an upgrade at KR and PR for starters.    We could also use his speed on offense.  Harty is quick, but no one is actually fast

The guy's a 4.31.  4.31!!  That's not just fast, it's up there with the league's fastest.  He played well in pre-season, so what am I missing here?  Seems like on a team with mediocre team speed that giving him a shot is a no brainer.

You know, this reminds me of when I was starting to fly all over the country as a private pilot, and I was a bit intimidated by the idea of a 1200, 1400, 2000 mile flight.  I asked an experienced mentor how to do it, and he kind of looked at me as though I had beets for brains: "you just plan it as a series of 500 mile flights"  There's more to it, of course - you're liable to cross more weather systems, and encounter more varied density altitudes.

    But fundamentally, he was right.

    What's my point?

I dunno about a "precision offense", but the Bills absolutely do have enough offense to sustain scoring drives of 9-11 plays that go 75 yds or more.   And in fact, that's pretty much what they've done when they've scored successfully, so it's what they need to make up their mind to do right now.  Just take it one set of downs at a time.  The only way we're going to force teams to give us the intermediate and deep throws is if we commit to that and show patience.

And in fact - most of the time when we've scored, that's exactly what we've done.  The Bills have scored 20 TD so far this season, and 9 of them have been long, methodical drives of 9-17 plays driving 75 yds or more.  One was 75 yard in 8 plays, one was 64 yds in 9 plays.  Of the others, only 2 have been quick strike length of the field in 4-5 plays drives; the others were off turnovers and some of those drives took a lot of plays to move the ball from from near midfield.

Just plan it as a series of 10 yard chunks.

As far as Josh "running more and not getting hit more", Josh isn't Mahomes.  When he runs, he gets lathered up and craves contact.  I think the Bills coaches got tired of saying to him "run but don't get hit, use your legs when you need to then slide or go OOB" .  They've been saying that to him for 5 years now and Josh has been hearing "run blahblahJosh use your legs blahblahJosh".  This season, he would maybe run out of bounds and slide a couple times, then start barreling into guys.

So I think they finally said "listen, if you can't run nicely for a QB, don't run."  Of course, then we see him body-checking LB in the endzone after the play so...

It's been said before, but Josh typically gets hurt from the pocket rather than on running plays.

We're rotating plans too. We have Amazon Prime, but mainly for the shipping, so the streaming is a free bonus. We also have Paramount Plus for all things Star Trek (plus a few other shows.) For now, at least, we'll keep both of those all the time. Last year, I wanted to watch the Beatles documentary, so we subscribed to Disney+ for a month. During that time, we binged the first two seasons of The Mandalorian and then canceled the service. We recently re-upped for another month or two to see the 3rd season, along with a few other Star Wars series, and we'll cancel when the Mandalorian finishes its season.

There are a couple of shows I want to see on Nexflix and Hulu, so we'll subscribe to one, binge the shows, cancel, and subscribe to the other. I figure as long as they don't start requiring annual contracts, we'll just keep the Disney/Netflix/Hulu rotation going. Even if you count the cost of Amazon Prime, our total streaming bill is around $25/month - a fraction of what we were paying for DirecTV.

As for Sunday Ticket, no matter what they charge, not having to subscribe to a full DirecTV or YouTubeTV package will save us a ton. If I can get a Bills-only subscription for considerably less, I'll jump on it.

I haven't found any pricing for the stand alone NFL service.  I am interested because my housing area requires a TV subscription with Spectrum.  I'd hate to pay that subscription, offering a couple hundred channels, then go with a full Youtube subscription.  Any advice?

  7. We know that he is a very fine LB, but top five salary in our financial dilemma?  IMO, maybe, but we have other needs which we won't get to if we pay him like $22M or so.  Draft, or trade for a bruiser as a replacement; sure, you give up coverage over the middle, but you have to put a legitimate value on Edmunds vs significantly increased abilities on the OL, and then RB, S, DL (again) and plenty of legitimate backups.

Funny, all the Tua is better than Allen talk is now the same people declaring Tua a fraud, choke artist, etc and demanding they move on.

I mean all the talk was how the Dolphins had a moral victory playing Bills close this past week in the cold…now it’s time to draft a QB all of a sudden.  Love it, nice Xmas present to see fins fans and the team melting down 😂

Some fun Xmas reading here ladies and gents…Merry Xmas

Herbstreit is less than adequate as Michaels partner, he makes the game terrible to watch.

Fitz during halftime was awesome and I think he would make a way better partner and announcer than Herbstreit.

Come on fashion fitzy, let's make it happen.

Boy, do I ever disagree.  IMHO Herbstreit is knowledgeable and adequate, but a bit boring in his delivery.  OTOH Michaels has totally lost whatever he may have one had.  It just seems to me that it's as if the producers told him not to put any emotion into good plays.  He describes a 30 had run with the same emphasis as a 3 yarder.  He has lost it!

Agree with all of this minus the bolded.  We lost each of those games for various reasons….none more so than Josh throwing terrible interceptions (minny and nyj) and a terrible throw to dirty for a TD (Miami).  He’s our franchise and he failed in all 3 games.

Once he got going he was something like 18-21 on his passing and we scored on 5 straight drives.

Cleared to play and ready to play are not remotely the same thing though.  He was cleared to return to practice sure.  But he still hasn’t played a down of football in a year.  He still has to get into game shape, he still has to test the injury and see how it’s responding, he still has to rebuild all the strength and ability to cut and change directions, etc etc.

Sorry, no disrespect but he will be ready when he’s ready.  The absolute worst thing to do would be to rush him back into the game.

And the reality is…we lost to Vikings because we fumbled the game away after the game was over.  We lost to Dolphins because Bass missed a FG, we lost to Jets because they hit their 50+ yard FG and we missed ours.

In other words, if not for the offense, we would be undefeated right now.

Tre is not the problem.  For people to pile on someone not coming back sooner from a serious injury is not really fair to Tre.

He is a what? six year veteran pro bowler.  If he can't get ready after being cleared to play 3 or 4 weeks ago, is just might be mental.
