  1. Hire Marty or Bill and get a good staff as well. Pay the coaches more than the players, there is no "coach cap" yet.
  2. The O-line responded to try to not get pancaked as much by the defense, therefore there will be less of a pile to run into for the running backs - maybe even a little hole to get a few yards. Turk will also get rid of the blocking plays that cause the o-line to get pushed back 5 yards on 3rd and 1 . Did TE promise to look down field at least once before dumping off the checkdown?
  3. Look for the Bills to start hitting the #1 option on pass plays, not the checkdowns. This will mean the wideouts will get the ball and chances to make plays. Also look for JP to take off and run when things are covered. DJ seems very calm (as always) during all of his interviews. Bills look to bring this calm control to Toronto and make the Fins seem like they are in 2007 (1-15 days). Bills will drop 7 or 8 into coverage (just like team do to TE) this time to stop the dump offs.
  4. I have a feeling he's going to light it up and kill the Dolphins in a very good showing. He's been waiting for this opportunity. Hopefully he will be relaxed and ready to show why we drafted him in the 1st round.
  5. Throw it in there to Hardy, even if he's covered - let him make a play - the dude can catch in a crowd, but you must throw to him.
  6. The Steelers have an indoor practice facility that they can use when the weather is bad, but Steelers coach Mike Tomlin prefers to practice outside when the Steelers are getting ready for an outdooor game, as they are this week.
  7. With a whole week of practice and a gameplan (throw to wideouts, not running backs) geared towards his strong points this should be his LAST chance to prove he has some potential. It's a very big stage for the Bills this week because of Toronto. Since we seen what happened to TE on the big stage this year (Monday night, Jets, NE, Dolphins), let's see if JP can handle these AFC East teams any better. If he loses, then send TE back in to "mop" up our season and get some experience. If TE gets hurt, send in the 3rd stringer to see what he has. IF JP WINS, then the Bills should try to ride this to the playoffs, if he get's to the play offs - apologize to him and give him an extension and promise to trade TE. He has much more time to throw than in the past, maybe he can make some things happen.
  8. 4 wins in a row. He is even going to get rid of his beard (it's been bad luck for him) before the game and promise to keep it off as long as he keeps winning!!
  9. Let's give DJ some credit for putting together a good team. He just needs a few playmakers to step up and make some plays. So what if the coaches want to take a time out to talk about a play call once in a while, that's why they have time outs. It's still a very young team, they will get better. This year has been a very exciting year so far, a few very bad calls or/and less INTs and we would be in 1st place. Let the coach coach the team like he wants, it's his job. Stop being so negative, it could be worse, much worse.
  10. If we would have had reasonable or good QB play in these recent loses, we would have won both. Who's available with some "upside" next year????
  11. He is hinting on all his talk shows (NFL network) that he wants back in coaching. If Bills finish 7-9 0r 6-10, let's have Ralph get Marty back to Buffalo - he's ready if Ralph put's a good offer on the table. If DJ is able to rally and finish 10-6, 9-7, 8-8 - he get's another try.
  12. Both have strong winning records.
  13. I know we were all spoiled by the fast start this year, but we do have a 1st year O-coordinator - and there will be a learning curve. This is still a very young team and DJ has done a reasonable job of being competitive. Keep up the good work DJ and staff, a few lucky bounces of the ball and we would be right in the race. If a few passes are caught, a fumble , etc.. - You would be getting praised, not questioned. Think of the poor Bengals, Lions, etc
  14. Throw the ball to the #2 pick, even if he's covered He WILL catch the ball anyways -that's why he's the #2 pick. Do not waste our draft picks on the bench!!!!!! and by the way put the JP in this game
  15. I agree, let this kid rest a few weeks to clear his head.
  16. If he is going to be the Future the Bills should find two excellent pass catching tight ends and pick up an extra slot receiver. Maybe a solid center and that's should help him.
  17. That's why he does Ok when the other teams get into their 4th quarter "prevent defenses", it leave all of the short stuff wide open. Maybe as he grows, he will start taking a few more chances deeper (more than 3 yards over the line).
  18. With 3 chances, we should of been able to get a 1st down or close to it. These are the browns, not the Bears or Ravens.
  19. Then move him around in different formations. What happened to running a reverse a few times a game to Fred or Roscoe??
  20. It's not like were moving an All Pro from a spot where he anchors the line, move him! Let him be a good blocking tight end, see if he can push/ seal off the Defense End or outside linebacker to the middle AND run some plays outside. Other team seem to run out side ll the time, it will open the middle up more.
  21. Maybe he's not as flashy as Marshawn or Freddie, BUT maybe he can see some holes where the other can not seem to find any holes. Let's give him a little bit of live action to see what he's got. Maybe he turns out to be like the Giant's big running back (you know, the one who ran us over last year).
