  1. I am all for the Bills being more aggressive and spending money but I still think it would be a stretch to pay the type of money he damands. Most of the Peppers hype is from his early career. I think he is slightly over-rated. Don't get me wrong, he is a damn good player but his value as of right now is inflated from years ago and his athletisim. The type of money he wants is higher than any other defensive end in football and I would argue that he's not the best defensive end in the NFL.

  2. I never in a million years thought I would own a Terrell Owens jersey, let alone a bills T.O jersey. I know its a one year contract and I probably won't wear it after this season, but hell I just purchased a throwback.

Anyhow, the bills marketing department is pushing the hell out of these things via email, text and on the front page of bb.com. So my question is who has puchased, is planning to purchase or is tossing around the idea of buying a T.O jersey.

PS: Tape over the back of your James Hardy, Peerless Price, Rodney Trafford  or Bobby Shaw jersey doesn't count.

Hey Jamie, what size did you get? XXXXXL? :worthy:

  3. Was just watching ESPN cold hard facts where Kiper was being asked who certain players in the 2009 draft remind him of regarding current NFL players when they were first coming out of the draft. I don't know too much about Maybin, but if Kiper turns out to be right, I would love another Penn Stater on our defense.

If Raji magically last till the 11th pick, I would eat a whole onion & not cry afterwards.:thumbsup::lol:

  4. Mr. Weo you do realize Mike Martz went on to coach after his successful 99-01 run, right? Let me give you a few stats to back up my claim he is overrated. In the six seasons after 2001 that he has been a HC or coordinator, his teams have never been better than 4th most in Qb sacks taken. That's kind of what I mean when I say he gets Qbs killed. In those same six seasons his teams have never been better than 3rd in Qb interceptions. That kind of supports my claim that his absurd offense is a turnover machine. Six freaking seasons to not be among the four worst of both of those stats!!!

Mike Martz made it only two seasons in Detroit before he was shown the door. The FO claimed he was a problem for the rest of the coaching staff and players were openly complaining about his pass-happy offense. His next failure came in S.F. last year. The 49ers were brutal to watch and to top it off he rubbed players and coachs the wrong way again. The mad scientist led his team to the most turnovers in the NFL last season. This guy has been a locker room problem at every city he's coached in.

So why is it you think he should be considered for the Bills? Are you going to try and tell me that you honestly believe Trent and company will be able to run that crap system in the snow and wind? The only time his schemes have ever worked is when he had 5 HOF offensive players in their prime!!!! Even there he started to fail and would have been shown the door if it weren't for health problems forcing him to step down. So I say NO THANKS. Mr. Weo you can live in your fantasy 99-01 world if you like but I will consider his last six failures in judging him as well.

Finally someone filleted that guy on bringing in Martz.

  5. I don't know why so many people get down about Shonert. Our offense last year was more productive than it has been in atleast the last 3 years. It may have seemed predictable at times but we have always complained about our offense being too predictable even before Shonert came in. We passed more last year & used a lot of spread offense formations. Remember when we used to always run-run-pass. Our offense last year atleast tried to pass the ball. Owens will open everything up, even if he's not the one making the plays.

  6. We run an offense that if I'm correct is very close to the westcoast offense. T.O. has thrived throughout his career in the west coast offense (San Fransico, Eagles). The only reason it seems as though he is only a deep threat is because those are his most memorable plays & he has the abilty & height to be a successful down field threat. But he is also known for his slants routes towards the middle of the field. Trust me, they won't have trouble working it out & it will free up Evans down field. Evans is more of a down field threat than even T.O.
  7. Dude, we have a RB whos about to serve a 4 game suspension and we couldnt even land a old man vet.......

Now you have us getting the best WR on the market and Kurt Warner.....Who the hell on our roster would make Warner come here? You think he leave the Cards who currently have the best WR core in the league?

In case you didn't read it, I didn't just say Warner. I added housh because I know Warner would not want to come here with minimal weapons. There would be a chance if we put up major money for both. They wouldn't mind playing on an offense that has Warner, Lynch/Jackson, Evans, Housh.

  8. I have no desire to bring Kurt Warner here. He was a disaster in New York behind an O-Line that was better than ours. And Warner was even three years younger then. It would be a HUGE mistake.

The Giants went 5-2 with him as the starter.

Also, I added that we would need to go after Housh for it to even work.

  9. The Bills make a big push for two free agents and not worry about depth. Those two free agents:

    Kurt Warner

    T.J Houshmanzouda (wrong spelling)

I know they would have to put up monster money.

Would you like it? Do you think it would be wise?

    Imagine:

    Warner

    Evans

    Housh

Just imagine, cuz it won't happen.

  10. During a discussion regarding Lynch, this statement was made. This person wasn't joking either. They were not even being sarcastic. Here it is:

"Come on! He intenionally mowed down that woman and left her bleeding to death in the middle of a busy street because he couldn't be bothered to get out of his car in the rain to help her. Then he was caught red-handed smoking marijuana and luckily wasn't charged for it even though they had him dead to rights. Then they found an illegal gun in his car, which he surely was going to use to rob or kill someone. If that doesn't scream "thug" to you... "

1.) "He intenionally mowed down that woman and left her bleeding to death in the middle of a busy street"

What proof do we have that he intentionally did that. He ran her over? He left her bleeding to death? I don't think he would have gotten off with a mere $100 fine had the incident even been close to how it was described.

2.) "Then he was caught red-handed smoking marijuana."

I don't doubt that he was in fact smoking it but he was not caught red-handed. How does smoking marijuana make you a thug? What about hippies or average people that like to have a good time?

3.) "Then they found an illegal gun in his car, which he surely was going to use to rob or kill someone."

He was surely going to rob or kill someone? Why would a person with millions of $$ attempt to rob anyone with a gun? How does having a gun in your trunk mean you are definitely going to do something bad?

Lynch may be careless and stupid, but he is not a violent thug. He's no where close to being as bad as Packman, Vick, T.O, or even Haynesworth stepping on someone's head with a cleet.

How did this person manage to make it to -Carpal Tunnel Status- on the board without getting kicked off yet?

  11. What I think you don't understand is just because they didn't have a press conference to detail the probable cause, doesn't mean there wasn't probable cause.

    Think about it.

Do you think the Culver City police feel an obligation to satisfy the curiousity of Buffalo Bills fans?

When you watch arrest reports on the local news how often do they bother to detail probable cause?

And finally I'll ask the Marshawn appologists why they find the need to drum up these conspiracies on Lynch's behalf?

The first thing they did was say that it wasn't true, that it was just a rumor because it hadn't hit the news yet.

Now after it has been confirmed they jump into claiming without knowing that there wasn't probable cause and are flying off with all these civil rights violations.

Didn't they learn thier lesson the first time Lynch broke the law and they came out with all thier conspiracies?

I don't know if they have thick skulls or what, but they never learn.

You're right about the statement that their could be probable cause. Maybe there is. If not, then they did violate his rights.

Don't try to lump everyone that disagrees with you in the same category as a Lynch aplogist or conspiracy theorist. I'm not a Lynch apologist. I never defended him on the 1st incident & I personally never said the rumors weren't true on the 2nd incident. Nor did I ever talk about any conspiracy.

I'm a Constitutional scholar which is why I feel the way I do. Most people in this country have no idea what civil rights are & how they are violated everyday.
