"It's overwhelming," Peters said after practice on Wednesday. "I worked at it. This is what you play the game for — to get to Hawaii — so it's an honor."

really Jason? I thought you played the game to win super bowls? Bills will never win anything when they have players who would rather make pro bowls than win super bowls...

  2. I think they'll beat Denver. It's just a team they match up pretty well with (they don't have an answer for Marshall if Greer remains out though). But they can run all day on that team.

Buffalo will beat Denver, San Diego beats Tampa Bay, and San Diego beats Denver in the finale and wins the division at 8-8. It's the perfect storm, all the planets are aligning for it. Jauron gets that 7-9 record that he loves, and the Bills maintain their garbage record against teams that finish over .500 by ensuring that both San Diego and Denver finish 8-8.

If that happens, We will have gone 0-6 against AFC East, and 4-0 and AFC West. I still think MIA NE* and NYJ are all very mediocre, so this says something about how terrible the AFC West is this year.

  3. Game #16 vs. New England. WHat's it been, 10 straight losses against these guys? and at least 3 or 4 blowouts at home? The Bills are 0-5 against their AFC East brethren so far this year. I don't care what anyone says, that last game is a BIG game for the players, coaches and fans. I don't give a crap what they do vs. Denver but they had better sell out against New England in that last game and win it.

Yes, I think it would be great for the psyche of this team if we can knock 'em out of the playoffs in front of the home crowd. You know, something to believe in going into the offseason.

  4. Im so sick of every post on here bashing Ralph, JP, etc...this is supposed to be the team you root for, but you dont even stand behind and support the players going out on that field trying to play their azz off for a win! Thats worse than Raider fans...I swear.

So, this post is to show support for JP and co. today to beat the Jets azz, I hate the Jets, especially the Jets fans at the bar I am watching the game at.

So, chime in here with ONLY comments of SUPPORT and encouragement for OUR TEAM for once, and hold the whining until the games over! Lets get some positive momentum going for our team today!

GO JP AND GO BILLS! BEAT THAT JET AZZ!

    Amen. Let's Go, Buff-a-lo!!!!!!!!!

  5. But several projected top teams only got one, including NE*, NYJ, Indy, SD, NYG, Dallas, Philly, Wash.

Minn., Denver, Pittsburgh, NO, and Green Bay were the only ones with more than one (GB also got 3)

How do they determine their lineup of primetime games?

  6. Can someone explain to me why Cleveland gets to play THREE MNF games this year, plus one Sunday nighter and one Thursday nighter? Ridiculous.

There are only 17 MNF games a year I think, so any team should average about 1 game per year.

Bonus question.... think we'll get one next year?

  7. Bills need to win out.

    NE needs to lose out.

Jets need to lose the next 2.

Phins need to lose the next 2.

Jets & Phins need to tie on week 17.

    AFC east standings would be:

    Bills 9-7

    Jets 8-7-1

    Phins 8-7-1

    NE 8-8

    Bills win AFC east

    A wildcard is not possible.

The Colts already have the conference record tiebreaker for one wild card spot, so the Bills cannot beat out the Colts.

The Ravens already have the common opponent tiebreaker. They would go 3-1 against Oak, Cle, Mia, Jax while the Bills are 2-2 against those opponents, so the Bills cannot beat out the Ravens.

Now now, it's not as bad as your post makes it seem! The Pats* don't necessarily HAVE to lose out; they could in fact tie in Week 15 or 16 to put all three of our foes at 8-7-1. Just sayin'. :)

  8. I'd for sure stop paying attention to the NFL as much as I have in the past (more time to get into college football more B-) ), but I'd definitely be pulling for the Steelers.

I attended college here in Pittsburgh, and ever since they won the Superbowl my sophomore year and I got wasted and went to the riots, I've pulled for Steelers whenever the Bills were out of it. A proud, diehard fanbase here as well, similar to the Bills'.

The Pens' fanbase is a different story. My first two years here, I did not hear A WORD about hockey in the whole damn city. Then they started to win a few games, and everyone jumped on the bandwagon very quickly. And they still don't know sh-- about hockey. (I acknowledge there are a few exceptions to this!) My apologies for going off on a quick tangent.

  9. I disagree- Lets say the JETS have the division we would need the JETS to beat MIAMI along with us so if we are tied with miami the advantage goes to us for a better divison record if we won the three remaing beacause we would be 3-3 and Miami would be 2-4 so the only team we would worry about being tied with is NE.

as well as Indy and Baltimore....

I feel that Miami is the least of our worries at this point. Miami is not good.

But I agree that we have a slim chance of catching those damn Jets.

  10. I believe in the late 80s one of Elway's Broncos teams finished 11-5 and didn't get in. Meanwhile the Browns went 8-8 and won their crappy division. The NFL changed the Wild Card rules a year or two later, adding (I believe) 2 more spots. Since then, there has never been a team that finished better than 10-6 that DIDN'T make it.

In 1985 the Broncos were 11-5 and didn't make it, but that was when only 5 teams per conference made it. I'd be curious to know if any other 11-5 team hasn't made it in before.
