  1. Thank You and all the rest of our military for your service to our country

    God Bless America!

I agree! Thanks to all the military personnel who serve our country! I teach the 6th grade and we brought in a couple of military branches to talk with the kids, Navy on Tuesday and Air Force on Thursday that talked about their experiences. After the Air Force Thursday, we expressed our disappointment in the students that not one had the thoughtfulness to even say thank you to either branch for all they do. Hopefully after our little chat many of them will begin to appreciate all that they have and thank those that allow us to to have the rights that we do.

  2. One thing to remember, the defense in Denver was absolutly terrible. I live out in Colorado and listen to a lot of sports talk radio on my commute and of course there is a lot of discussion in regards to this. A lot of arguments swirl about the fact he hasn't taken his teams to the playoffs, etc. Some stats about Cutler jumped out at me, when the defense gives up less than 30 points he has won 2/3 of his games, when his defenses allow more than 30 he still has a better winnng percentage than a lot of other qb's (one example is eli was 1-16 or something like that in his games where that occured). Last year when the d allowed 30 or less Denver was 5-2, over 30 3-6. From what I've seen he has all the tools to be successful. If you told me to take my pick between Cutler or TE, I'd take Culter. However, I hope to be proven wrong.

Just looked up 2007 games in when the d gave up 30 or less Denver's record was 7-3. Last 2 yrs his record is 12-5 when the d gives up less than 30 points.

  3. Wasn't Maybin a redshirt sophomore?

In my opinion, Maybin had one solid year, and is certainly a good prospect, but whatever team drafts this guy, they better be prepared for a hell of a learning curve/transition to the NFL with him. He's at least a 2 year project..just to get to starting caliber in the NFL (in my opinion).

I saw Maybin several times this season..and I don't know..he just looks soft in my opinion and undeveloped for the NFL. It would be ludicrous to take him anywhere in the 1st round..imo.

What you say about contracts could be an explanation for him delcaring...

You are correct, he was a redshirt sophomore this year.

I'm a Penn State fan and I'm in the camp he should have took another year to develop. However, when you're slated to go in the top 7-15 picks it's hard to fault the guy. I hope I'm wrong and I hope he does great this year.

  4. Tell me that when Stroud, Edwards, Greer, and Peters wants to get paid and we don't have the money.

This is what the salary cap era is all about and that whole parity thing. I honestly don't know our salary cap situation but I don't think that is to bad from what I remember. You can't be scared to pay top players good money. If you don't pay your top players and let them walk, then you do become a "farm team." This is part of changing the culture back to a winning culture. What happens with Edwards if Evans walks? Perhaps he gets frustrated, they can't get another wideout of his caliber in here, his performance suffers, and that frustration leads him to walk at the end of his contract anyway. If you can find another wideout of his caliber than it's all a moot point. I like the signing, I think it goes back to changing the culture and direction of the franchise.
