Moot point.  McD and Beane are going nowhere.  Not this year, next or many years to come.

THIIS  👍.  I'll say it again, read the knowledge that our fellow Buffalo fan LabattBlue has shared with you.  Eloquently and to the point. I understand the similarities the OP ( or the article) was trying to make but McBean are safe not going anywhere any time soon

I don’t think we ever saw that combo tbh.  Could be wrong

Nsekhe is a backup.  While he may be our best RT, he isn’t holding up playing RT full time.  He’s our backup swing.  Ford our RT.  Feliciano our RG.  Morse our center.  Daryl will compete with long for backup guard.

let’s just hope Feliciano and Ford keep improving.  Beane is all in with them for 2020

    This^^^^^

  3. I don't want a head coach who is personally involved with developing a QB. I don't want a head coach who is a "specialist" in offense, defense, special teams, a certain position, fitness, weight training, water intake, film study, or any other specific aspect of running a team. I want a head coach who knows how to delegate, knows how to lead, knows how to enforce proper behavior, and who know how to manage game time decisions.

Plus F-ing OBE +1 amen brother!!!

    :worthy::beer:

  4. How about we replace the word "think" with the word "wish"? Campbell scares no one. He's consistent: at having a passer rating of 80-85 = not going to win you the game. He may not lose it, like Orton did, but he won't win it.

Your WRs looked horrible last night. And, I noticed you left out Jacoby Ford, of "Catch and fumble on the first offensive play of the game" fame. Is he part of the depth you are talking about? Yes, Denver has some stud CBs, but still, I keep seeing Heyward-Bay falling down on a slant pattern and having the ball hit him in the face on a bounce-pass. That pretty much defined your QB/WR play. That wasn't Denver's CBs. Perhaps they are better than they showed? OK. First game, jitters, young players, etc. OK. But, to beat our DBs, they have to be much better. You don't have a TE to speak of. If you did, I might be more worried about your passing game, because of your running game, but you don't, so I refuse.

Your running game looked good....because Denver's offensive FAILs gift-wrapped it the game for it. Giving the ball away, which meant an early lead that Denver blew multiple chances to remove, meant more running from you. It isn't indicative of anything other than Kyle Orton Sucks. Being 5-14 on third down...does not mean you have a good running game. Show me 10-14 and I would agree. Instead, you guys kept getting short fields, and running the ball to kill clock. Your longest scoring drive started at your 46 yard line(for a FG). That awesome kick at halftime thing wasn't "down the field". You did not drive the ball "down the field" once. The longest "down the field" drive you had was from your 20...to your 46 yard line....so please....how about you actually prove that you can "drive the ball down the field" 1(one) time...before telling us you are going to "drive it up and down the field all day"?

Denver forgot the saying: Never wrestle with a pig, all you get is dirty, and the pig likes it. I can assure you that we will not make the same mistake WRT penalties.. You really want to give Fitz 15 free yards in penalties every drive, especially on 3rd down? Knock yourself out, buddy, don't let us stop you: perhaps this week we'll score 50.

Now let's talk our WRs. We know how good they are, we don't have to wish. We've seen them make play after play, both last year and this year. That's all there is to say. We'll see if Huff can stop Chandler(actually I am praying that you overreact to him...so that Roscoe can tear it up).

Oh, and you might want to watch our running game this weekend. You may be surprised. Especially if we get up by 2 scores, because Campbell turns it over and/or you give us half as many free penalty yards as you gave Denver.

Bottom line: if the performances I saw in both games were reversed....I wouldn't be talking about beating the Raiders. I'd be hoping my team would escape getting blown out by 21 in the first quarter.

  5. no, no, no. you do not let the tail wag the dog.

these players dont get to throw a hissy fit until they are traded. if they are under contract (and not going into their last year) then you proceed as normal and expect this adult, who you are paying millions of dollars, will show up and play.

awkward in the locker room? how so? you think other players care about his situation? to the point that it wont be business as usual? how much do you let your coworkers gripes and issues effect you at your job?

how does he become a malcontent? does he mope around the locker room talking about how horrible he has it? does he refuse to practice hard? refuse to learn the offense?

Awesome post! So there are some sane stable members of this board that don't have a knee jerk, sky is falling approach to everything the Bills do, do not do, or is rumored to do. Lynch has not been a malcontent at any time in Buffaloe. Off the field problems yes but disruptive in the locker NO! One example he didn't wine when Freddy started did he NO! so why would he all of a sudden become a malcontent because he hasn't showed up to voluntary practice, the same one he hasn't showed up to since he's been in the league hmmm

  6. a first round pick plus a 2nd or 3rd for a 2 time superbowl champion qb is too much? I'd trade our last 4 1st round pick plus this years for him. You're nuts. Our team has been GARBAGE for 10+ years because we don't have a qb, an you think giving up 2 picks is way too much? Lol, stupidity.

 +1 Couldn't have said it better so funny how the members of this board knows the Bills haven't as much as sniffed the PLAYOFF IN 10 YEARS and there being picky with a proven PRO BOWL SUPER BOWL quaterback my god

  7. and still no offensive line. When will you people learn??

 My thoughts exactly. Geez, we need line help on both lines but people are still hollering about qb's and receivers. Neither one of the aforementioned is going to succeed without a NT to help stop the run, the opposing team will dictate the offense flow of the game. Then we'll be playing catch up, that means an young QB throwing behind a line where there's a lack of talent providing protection from his blind side. Screw the sexy friggin PICKS! RD 1 OL/DL RD2 OL/DL!!!!! Run the ball and stop the run, we don't need a superstar at QB just yet just someone who can manage the game. Picking a receiver anywhere in the first 3 rounds to me will be like Tom D picking Willis Maghee with our previous first round pick when there was glaring needs elswhere. IMHO Clausen in the first round if he falls and the top 3 tackles are gone. Then at that point RD 2 OL/DL RD 3 OL/DL. I'm no expert and don't claim to be one, just adding my two cents from what I've seen watching every friggin Bills game for the last several years. Paying a kings ransom to Directv and by mid season see the writing on the wall that the Bills are going nowhere. ANYWAY GO BILLS!!!

  8. A fan, by the very definition of the term, can not root against ther team. Yes, the Bills blow. Yes, they've blown for quite a few years. Yes, the HC should have been fired 2 years ago. Yes, the owner needs to spend big money on a new HC. Yes, this team will suck the very life from your soul.

But, none of that matters. They're still the BUFFALO Bills. I'll watch every game possible. I'll be a little happy when they win. Depressed when they lose. Why? Because I'm a fan.

When you cheer against a team or you no longer watch the games or follow the team, you're no longer a fan - period. You're just another person who occasionally watches. A fan is there through the thick and thin (granted it's nano fiber thin right now); not just when the team is doing well or doing things they like.

Yes, complain. Yes, boo when they screw up on the field. Yes, find voice your displeasure. But, cheering against the team - hoping they lose - regardless of the rationalization is not what a real fan does.

 Yeah that's pretty much sums it up for me. I loathe the organization that the Bills have become, but I still poneyed up a king's ransom to directv to see the team I love (to hate) on every sunday. Why? I've recently ask myself over and over. The only logical answer is because I am a fan and I want to believe this is the week it's going to turn around. If not this week maybe next month or next year but I love being the fan that can say I stuck with this team when they were 2-14, or 7-9 or didn't make a playoff in a decade. Just my opinion but I personally wouldn't feel like a true fan if I jumped ship when things were horrible and was back on the bandwagon when they became good again. So I don't think you could ever root against your team and be a true fan. It's kinda like your little brother or sister you pester, argue or even fight with them, but noone outside your family better utter one bad word about them. We on this board may argue amonst ourselves but come sundays the bickering stops and its on for 3.5 hours...... GO Bills

  9. Quiet??? Guess again. :wallbash:

I know you've probably already sent in your Pro Bowl ballot, but I haven't been quiet at all - the only reason FatBoy didn't give up a sack yesterday is 'cause the Eagles had a bye week!

FYI, Mr. 6-Wonderlic-Fat-Lazy-Stupid-Tub-o'-Goo has given up 4 sacks so far this season. If we extrapolate that over a full season, he'd be giving up over 21 sacks in a sixteen game season - or roughly double his league-leading 11.5 sacks allowed last year. (But he hasn't managed to play 16 games in either of the last 2 seasons, has he? :w00t: )

Hey, give 'im a big raise and send 'im to Hawaii!!! :wallbash::wallbash:

Quiet??? Not me. Hell no. I've been screaming from the rooftops about FatBoy's failure!!!

 PRICELESS I have to say one of the BEST statement/post supported by facts that I've seen in a long time on this board!!! telling it like it is and as far I see it this post should end there. There's nothing else to say!!! Awesome Senator!!! spot on about Jason, I don't hate or even dislike Peters but he's gone and in a nutshell the aforementioned post is why!! :wallbash:

  10. Time to move on people. Do something more productive with your three hours every Sunday in the fall. RW is without na doubt the cheapest, most football illiterate owner ever. He continue to put his control, profit and ego ahead of winning. All the talented GMs and coaches we've had were fire or quit because RW is a meddling, miserale miser.

So either pick a new team (Go Packers!!) or find another sport t cheer for. As long as this incoherent jerkoff runs this team and continues to tell us as WNYers were poor and can't support a team, he doesn't deserve our support. He's taken advantage of us as fans (I'm a season ticker holder) and us as taxpayer to turn his $25,000 investment into a multi million (hundreds of millions) windfall while complain the entire time that he can't make a go of it here. F him and his wife and daughter. Pack your gear and move this team because if this is the team you're going to field while you maximize its value to increase the sale price for your daughter so she can sell it to the higher bidder, just leave now.

RW's legacy is not an owner who kept a team here and some sort of Robin Hood, but a cheap SOB who did everything he could to maximize profit, including raping taxpayers and season ticker holders.

Here's hoping for a resolution to the ownership ASAP so we as WNY can move on, with or without this team, but MOST importantly without this curmudgeon.

Only sad thing about this is most fans will say the same thing. Suggest that they'll boycott and not go to the games and then poof!!! Next year another record setter in home ticket sales GO FIGURE

  11. I can see your point...nice to have an intelligent conversation without anyone resorting to name calling(Homers, trentians, etc..).....My opinion is to let TE play out the entire year to see what he has..it's his 3rd and we have all seen signs that he can be awesome...or go the other way.....my hope is that as the line gels and gets some experience TE progresses as well...we'll see

But, after all is aid and done, the only thing that matters today is beating Miami.....SQUISH THE FISH!!!!!!

    AMEN to that!!! :lol::(

  12. When? How about when he has more than one bad game?????

Why does no one acknowledge that our line got schooled last week? They are young and IMO will be great for a long time, but they got taken to town last week. TE had abot 2 seconds to throw and lost about one every other play picking the snap off the turf....as the line gets better so will the longer game.

Or we can just run another young QB ot of town, draft a new one and then run him out in 3 yrs.

Great points I mentioned in my original post that Trent has quite a few factors working against him and the offensive line is one of the many, but I was making the point that when do you say let's shake things up. We all know this is not DJ way and will never be, but look how Donovan Mcnabb played when he was shown the sideline to get a different perspective of the game.

  13. when you find your brain. just ridiculous. if the giants listened to people like you concerning young QB's when he was stinking up the stadium what kind of mistake would that have been?

you obviously dont know much about young QB's he played 2 great games has a poor one(which was not all his fault their was plenty of blame to go around) and you dumbies talk about benching the guy.

get it thru all your collective thick heads trent is not getting benched this year and anyone who suggests otherwise is an idiot!

WHOA somebody didn't have there warm milk beforing going to bed!! :( I'm not going to get in a pissing contest with you, I asked WHEN IS IT A CONSIDERATION!!!!! and wrote some supporting factors to WHY it may be a CONSIDERATION. SO I take your giving a NAY on the CONSIDERATION of attempting to jump start our team IF AND ONLY IF (as I mentioned early) we LOSE. Man take a CHILL PILL! I would CONSIDER continuing with this response but I know I need to spoon feed you, SO we'll emphasize the word CONSIDER (OR CONSIDERATION) because you obviously don't know the meaning.

You know what on second thought have a beer on me  GEEZ CONSIDER it a token of apprecation from me for giving you humble (<---sarcasm) opinion

  14. I starting thinking about this as I was thinking about the outcome to the Miami game. I watched and re-watched all the games (thanks tivo). We are 1-2 and if we lose today we will be 1-3 and worst 0-2 in the division. Now I know we're having line issue the defense is banged up and I'm not putting all blame on Edwards, but when does he start being held accountable. We also know our coaching staff as a whole have to rank at best the bottom third in the league as far as in game adjustment and just plain being able to outsmart/outwit an opposing staff. Be that as it may, Trent have not hit the open man when

A.) they've been open; he haven't made the correct read or just to gunshy to pull the trigger (hence the moniker El Capitan Checkdown, Trenative Checkwards <--hilarious  or

B.) he's just plain overthrew them.

We can place blame on the changing of the OC ten days before the season started, but my point is this: This is Trent's 3rd year (well 2.5 technically) and the bottom line he not playing as if he's having that break out season, he seems to be stuck in neutral with the same ole excuses. "We have to get "enter some offensive here player(s)" more involved". "I'm just taking what the defense is giving me" "I'm not going to force the issue, I'm going to go through my reads...... blah blah blah blah! We've all heard / seen post game interviews and we as the biggest fan have armchair quaterbacked it. SO I say hey in closing (sorry if I rambled) if we lose today how bad can it really be to give old Fitzpatrick (or even Hamadan for that matter) a try. We'll at worst know by the end the year if we'll be looking for a 1st round QB in the upcoming draft. Would love to know you guys and gals take on this is.

OH and for the record I'm a Trent supporter and hope to goodness that goes out throw for 250 yards w/ 2TD today and we win so the aforemention post would be moot!! I'm not the DOOM and GLOOM type GO BILLS!!!

  15. Holy crap, stupid notion. Some of the crazy **** posted by people lately amazes me.

<_< AMEN to that bro, some of the idiot sh*t people post, just plain silly IMO. Why would you even think about trading Lynch! It amazes me how when we get some talent the first thing some people want to do is trade them. You have proven a commodity, now you want to trade them for unproven hype/potienal!! Then wonder why we are always in a perpetual "transition/rebuilding" wait until next year, where just one player away team GEEEEZZ!!! :wallbash: but I guess what this board is all about, throw something out there no matter how OUTLANDISH and RETARDED it sounds some will agree and even place merit behind and entertain it!! First round talent doesn't equate to winning anything
