  1. IMO this is the best thing to happen to our Offense since Trent started for an injured Losman.

Roscoe offers us nothing but an average WR that is too small for Trent to find (his own words).

I'm looking forward to Hardy playing more!

you need a lobotomy. we loose our most explosive player and your happy because its going to give a rookie more playing time. just sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. It's the other way around m8. Kyle isn't getting double teamed like he was. I'm very surprised that our DE's don't have many more pressures now that they are singled up.

well joe D loves our d/ends. he could not stop raving about how good they are this week on his show. he stated he just loves how they both play and are relentless on every down.

  4. It seems as though in our system, and with a great coach in Bobby April, that good/great special teamers are easily replaceable. Wendling has come out of nowhere this year, as has George Wilson. Before this year I didn't know Wilson was such a great player on ST. Also, guys like Corto, DiGiorgio, and Bryan Scott have really stepped up. I don't think it was a mistake because of the Bills' ability to cycle through and find great replacements.

dont forget that april thinks Derek fine is an incredible special team er and played on all special teams in college. when he returns i think he will greatly help our special teams.

Sports writer refers to the Buffalo Bills as the "Toronto Bills" in his power rankings. I felt this was extremely inappropriate and he is going to make a lot of people mad. Feel free to email him.

does anyone know Russ Brandons e/mail address? I think we should flood his mail box with this goof balls comment. I highly doubt Mr. Brandon would find his comment funny!

  6. Bench Peters?

During our long protracted debate over Peters hold out, a few of us (me included) said that Peters would suffer for missing OTA's and training camp. Others (who coincidentally were arguing on Peters behalf, predicting Armageddon for Edwards if anyone but Peters played LT) said that Peters was so crazy good that he didn't need camp. Being "the best player on the team" meant that he can just walk ont the field and be better than what the Bills had.

Now two games in and we are seeing that Peters is more of a liability to the Bills than an asset. Twice in two weeks, "our best player" has been beaten badly enough that the rusher caused Trent Edwards to fumble. Wasn't this the kind of stuff that wasn't supposed to happen with Peters at LT? Fortunately the Bills are 3-0 so we all just laugh it off, but I wonder if we were 1-2, and both games turned on those Peters-induced turnovers, how would we be feeling about "the best player on the team?"

    PTR

well DJ disagrees with your assessment. noting he has made 3 errors he also commended him saying his play was actually remarkable and he watches the film.

do you really think if as you say he was a liability he would be playing espicially in light of how well the line played with walker on the left side? you need to lighten up!

  7. Do you get chills when a light breeze blows? I think you may be just a little too thin skinned. Take a joke dude. Why not focus on the fact that he ranked the Bills 4th overall and #1 in the AFC?? After all these years of no recognition, we finally start getting some props and your sole focus is on a tongue in cheek comment?

thats total BS. tongue in cheek my butt. schoop keeps refering to the toronto bills also and he should be shot just like this jerk.

Mikey(Lackawanna,NY): Do you think the Bills Marcus Stroud is looking like the Pro Bowl DT he was a few years back? Will the Jags regret trading him?

Chris Mortensen: Actually, according to those who have played him, he is not playing that well so it's very ironic that the Bills are 3-0 - and probably about to be 4-0.

well i guess mort didnt talk to his defensive teammates because they all attribute a lot of their defensive success this year to strouds presence.

kelsey and poz and schoebel have been singing his praises all summer and since the season started. who ever mort talked to good for him because maybe they will take him lightly. all i know is nobody has run for over 100 yards against us yet this year and last year our run defense was swisss cheese.

  9. Trent needs to show it for the year. Remember when we all (most) thought JP was a top 10 QB after the great end in 06

trent showed he had "IT" last year however was not given any credit because the team was losing due to having one third of our team on IR.

i believe he is now 8 and 4 as a starter to me thats fabulous for a young QB. seeing that is widely assumed that it takes 3 years for a QB to get it. JP simply put does not have "IT" (unfortunately because i like the guy and wanted him to succeed) however he simply cannot process information fast enough and get the ball out and on time.

schoebel said it best yesterday when he said his optimism for this year is fortified by the quarterback position."i feel trent is a good QB who is going to be great"

everyone wants to make little of Walsh's call on edwards but there is no one more qualified on QB's then bill walsh.

  10. “I’ve said this all season,” said defensive end Chris Kelsay, “Trent is mature beyond his years. You’d never guess he’s a second-year quarterback, because he’s got complete control of his huddle, and he has the respect of the entire team. It’s good to have a quarterback like that.”

When I read this quote and I believe Donte said something similiar on Jim Rome yesterday, I wonder how it would play if

Trent went out for any period of time and JP was called on. In praising their QB they indirectly or directly have to throw another

teammate under the bus. It's best to cut or move a former starter because it just puts players in akward situations.

thats simply ridiculous logic. keeping JP was the only smart move. he knows the offense and there are no veterans worth a damn out there and were none this off season.

i suppose you would want hamad to be our starter should god forbid trent get hurt for a game or two it could cost us our season.

we now have the talent on all sides of the ball that JP could run the show for a game or two and we would still have a great chance @ winning.

i feel your deduction from kelsey and whitners comments are ridiculous.

  11. I saw it too, and was almost expecting us to get looked over. The best part is that Ritchie actually believes that. He's not reading the latest Dallas news off of a script like most of their other football segments.

While I don't agree that Trent will be like Manning/Brady*, I could see him turning out to be in the Hasselback/Delhomme mold.

could you explain your reasons why you would compare him to the second tier QB's you mentioned?

  12.

the guy is talking out his butt. he has obviously not seen the bills play. we cant throw it or run it???????? he definitely has not seen us play.

the reason we seem to be a little weak in the run game in the beginning of this season is because teams are loading up the box and trying to see if our young QB can beat them.

well they are learning that trent can ruin them and the better trent does in the passing game they are going to have to commit more people to the pass game and wont be able to put 8 in the box any more then lynch and freddie will start putting up big numbers.

mark my words fellas. we wont be seeing 8 in the box for much longer and then our running game will be dominant.

i cant wait to play the jets or the pats bring them on. they all have a boner because of favre. talk about being overrated i think the jets are the ones overrated. favre threw up a hail mary in the miami game that should have been intercepted and looked pretty ordinary against the pats (without Brady) @ home. bring them on !!!!!!

  13. I know there have been many threads dedicated to the selection of Donte Whitner at number 8 and whether or not he was/is worth it.

But three seasons later, isn't it odd to think about our defense if Huff actually fell to us and we selected him over Whitner? I'm not going to totally dog Huff because I can't imagine how difficult it must be to develop as a player in Oakland. But Whitner clearly has leadership ability that you don't find too often. I just keep feeling better and better about that pick, and I think we lucked out with Huff going to Oakland.

the bills would have taken whitner over huff anyway. they obviously targeted him and i think the deciding factor was that whitner is much more physical and multidimensional than huff is.

  14. Would we have picked someone other than Mckelvin if we knew Youboty would step up so dramatically and went from zero to hero? Because when the 08 draft happened, we all thought that Youboty was done for and we would never see him in a bills uniform come september. But now here he is as one of the biggest surprise players. And we have more DBs than any other position we have. I think the chances of us trading down would have been bigger, maybe going after a better TE or maybe taking hardy with another high ranking WR. Because right now there doesnt seem to be even any space for him as a starter even if he was ready. which he might be. thoughts?

first off you can never have enough good corners espicially playing NE twice each year.

secondly you never draft for need if you do you will fail 95%of the time you always pick the best available player according to your board no matter what position.

thank god the bills do it right and your not running our draft room modrak and DJ are and i'm loving it

  15. yeah like mcnally is going to say anything bad. He pegged his horses to the kid and pretty much ignored the rest of the line while he was here. Great Jom, you made a pretty good tackle out of a FA. Too bad you let our first round draft pick hanging in the wind and haven't had a good guard or center here since before you should up.

Friggen loser Mcnally, you're gone, STFU. the line is much better without you.

you show your total lack of knowlege on this game the only guy i wish were gone is you. you are absolutly clueless and IMO only make ignorant posts to get attention!

  16. I disagree. I feel that JP has equal or greater presence.

You just didn't get to see it with the old system and OL.

Back then, when the pressure came, it was too big to evade.

are you kidding me jp never felt pressure only the pain after the pressure brought him down. believe me this is coming from a jp supporter he just does not have "it". he does not have it between his ears. he cannot process info fast enough. if you could take trents head and put it on JP's body you would have a great QB.
