  1. look i dont like or want locker but to say second round is flat out stupid. the kid will probably go top 10 @ worst 15.

now luck is a #1 lock.i dont know what your problem is with mallet but i would love him in a bills uniform. he reminds me of a bigger better stronger armed and more accurate flacco.

I think you give McShay too much credit. Locker really has little business in the 1st round at all. You could say the same thing about Maybin and I guess it does only take one team, but if he goes before our second I will be very suprised.

Realistically I thinka 3rd or 4th is a good round for Locker, and thats going on potential alone. If he didnt run a *reported* 4.4 I wouldnt even bother drafting him. He is like Jevon Snead but fast.

  2. While it is Al Davis we're talking about - I take this to be no different than any other team when you get down to it. Arguably any team would trade any player if the trading team put up the right stuff. For example, the Colts might trade Manning for every Bills pick in the next two drafts. The issue is that in reality something like that would never happen. The Raiders are simply saying they would consider any trade not accept any trade.

    I would take that trade.

  3. I dont get why people assume he is complete done becase he has had 3 bad years.

2007 had 12.5 sacks AFTER being caught on the juice

    2008 he tears ACL.

2009 he plays in 14 games and has 4 sacks. Everyone in sports knows it normally takes a full 24 months to recover from an ACL, so this year is tough to say he sucks.

    2010 Has battled other injurys.

    - Yea he isnt as good as he was when he was on roids. But he has also been hampered by injuries as he hasnt been healthy. He could easily be a 12 sack guy again if healthy. Not to mention he would be BY FAR the best LB on this team.

Its a smart move any way you look at it.

    - Improves team

    - No risk

    - A "name" player that will get media/fan attention

  4. the bills are all over it. did you hear the announcer say he was actually speaking to a bills scout who was there looking @ him (and Mallet) and that they have him pegged as a RT in the NFL.

that being said he looked good to me,amybe in the third round.

I just posted in another thread that he reminded me of Anthony Davis, so I am not suprised they think of him as a RT. The problem is I dont really see a top tier LT in this draft. Some of the rankings have the BC tackle at the top so I will have to catch one of their games soon. That Said Carimi was much more impressive yesterday, and he would be my dream pick to play RT at the moment.

  5. To answer your question in short, no, the Bills cannot be trusted with the selection. We have to hope that there are enough quality players at the top that even when they dont select the ebst we get lucky. I would rather pull a name out of a hat than let them make the selection. Or at least go with whoever Mayock says is best.

  6. I also like Gabe Carimi better and hope we can get him - his stock likely went way up tonite. Like you said though, at least the Bills know they have o-line needs. At least they're doing their jobs. I'm sure they're scouting all the top-ranked OTs - at least I hope so.

BTW - just took a quick look and, sure enough, knocking off the the #1 Buckeyes 38-18 sent Carimi to the top of the charts...

Carimi was the best I saw today easily. He handled Heyward all day and has great size. That said I dont think he is better Okung/Bulaga from last year. Now, my OL expectations are higher than anyone elses, so I would love Carimi at RT, but he is more likely a LT on our team unless we can upgrade our LT position also. Carimi could be a stud of a RT though.

Love reminded me of Anthony Davis. I never liked Anthony Davis. But as a 2nd or third rounder he could also be a good RT or G for us. The one guy no one has really talked about is James Carpenter for Alabama. I really like him and how mean he is. I looked him up on line and all the sites have him as a G prospect. I'm not sure what determines that, but this guy is a monster G in the making.

    - I feel like a broken record bc I say this every year. But if we could add 2-3 Ol early in this draft I would be pumped. I dont see anyone worth our #1, but our 2, 3, and 4 or hopefully trade up for another 2 or 3 could solidify our OL for the foreseeable future.

  7. Nothing special here, but I flipped to the Miss St/Fl game to check out their T Sherrod, and while I was watching the one announcer said he was talking to a Bills scout who was their to watch Sherrod. At least they knwo their OL sucks. The bad news is if this Sherrod guy ends up playing LT for us I will be very unhappy. He stunk when I was watching. Much worse than Love and Carimi who I also saw today.
