  1. Sincerely,

Alright, alright, I was just trying to have some fun. Almost everyone on here is following a team that has become the Carp of the football world. I thought bringing up Brandon Spoon might be therapeutic for a city with a national inferiority complex for not being able to get it done.

  2. I think this guy would still be playing football if he had a tougher name. I mean how many pro football players with wimpy monikers are actually successful? If he was Brandon Switchblade, Brandon Cleaver or Even Brandon Fork his fortunes may have turned out different.

  3. Question: With the CFL's Calgary offensive coordinator Cortez now being rumored to being close to signing with the Bills, and with his success in developing Flutie, Garcia, Brooks, and Boller, and with our current need for a true starting QB, does anyone see perhaps a slight chance of Jeff Garcia being signed for perhaps 2 years until we develop/draft "the future"?

I've always loved Garcia, and minus his stint in Cleveland he has lit it up everywhere he has been.

He would atleast be the same as McNabb, he would be better than Troy Smith, and he would- IMO- be a much better and bigger help than Vick.

He's not being mentioned at all, but when he last played it does not appear that he has lost much (if any) all of these years.

What does everyone think about Jeff Garcia as a short-term solution at QB?

    I'd rather sign Jerry Garcia

  4. Anyone have a hunch on the next O, D, And ST Coordinators? I wonder if anyone has been interviewed yet as it has been very tight lipped after the Gailey hire. Would love to see a 3-4 back in Buffalo...anyone that remembers wades D here must admit it was pretty damn good!

Yeah, and why did we switch to the 4-3 again?

  5. Bills fans are looking for a HUGE hire :wallbash: after years of Mike Mularkey, Dick Jauron, Greg Williams etc.

Chan Gailey just won't cut it! :w00t:

He isn't an emotional leader = Rex Ryan (something the Bills haven't had is years) and is considered a very boring coach = Dick Jauron. :wallbash:

If Ralph and Co. reads this board, re-think this decision because it could be the straw that breaks the Camel's back as far as season ticket fan support goes.

    DON'T DO IT!!

Do you just spout this crap without having any knowledge of what you are saying? You are idiotic. He isn't emotional? Whats this then?

    youre a tool
  6. Let me get this straight, the guy who Bill Cowher (the one coach almost this entire board revered as the savior of the franchise) picks Gailey to be his successor in Pittsburgh, and when we hire him the entire board views the move as terrible?

If you hate the move so much, than you must believe that Bill Cowher is overrated for hyping up a terrible coach. Therefore, you should not want him as our HC.

amen brother. I like this guy.

  7. Sounds horrible enough to be true.

    F Ralph.

The guy was head coach in the NFL for two years and went to the playoffs both years. All the teams he was a part of seem to have been, overall, successful. He was fired as Chiefs OC and how did they fare with Todd Haley calling the plays? You're all so damn knowledgeable about what head coach we should hire when you don't know jack shite. I like this hire. Cowher likes him and so do I.

  8. Listen, this was a weak stab at humor. I WANT to hear smart ass sarcasm, it will help to keep my sanity. This **** really can't be real but unfortunately it is. One thing that's for sure, I like many from our region have the same mentality and that is what Tim Russert was proud of when he referred to how we as Bills' fans keep getting knocked down but we also keep getting back up.

As Bill fan who moved away all I can say is, you people need help. When you die is your last thought going to be, my football team let me down and it cascaded into a series of unfortunate life events for me? I wish I did things different. The NFL has passed the Bills by, and maybe its time to let it go.

  9. If the Eagles do indeed decide to part ways with McNabb, the next question is, where will he land? Buffalo and Denver could both be interested, but if Terrell Owens’ remains a Bill, McNabb would likely pass on Buffalo. We could even see McNabb in Washington running Mike Shanahan’s West Coast Offense. And if Brett Favre finally decides to call it quits, the Vikings could be interested in another quality vet to take his place. This issue could come up sooner rather than later if the Eagles don’t take care of business against the Cowboys tonight. NFL odds makers have listed the Eagles as a 4-point underdog in the contest.

    McNabb speculation

if Owens remains a Bill? are you serious you tool? Did you just start watching football?

  10. After reading that, it seems like Shanahan might not be the best option after all

Let's all take a deep breath and think about this. TEN MILLION for a football coach? This all seems really crazy. I think the Bills Organization needs to slow down and think about this. First the job is offered to Gruden, then Cowher turns us down, now Shanahan and Holmgren. What the hell is going on?

  11. For real. Co2, the fourth leading greenhouse gas has increased by .0000000000909 parts of the atmosphere, so we are all going to die unless we found a massive global government that will reduce co2 emissions by impoverishing us. Unless thats just a total load of crap, and we are still stuck with the bill, loss of national sovereignty, and whatever new entities the world government will throw at us. Like a new currency when the dollar tanks.

Not to mention the probability of the existence of parallel universes, wherein the Buffalo Bills are 7 time Super Bowl Champions led by Billy Joe Hobert. Magnum PI is the President and Charles Ingalls the Secretary of State. Money doesn't exist there.

  12. bull ****. We will see their like, and we will win the SuperBowl. What the ?!?!?!?!?

    Man, go see the shrink.

No kidding, It's a little troubling and pathetic how Bill's fans take on the persona of a football team. Why doesn't everybody stop feeling so insecure because they can't get players to come here or because we never won a Superbowl. People should start to realize that Buffalonians in general work extremely hard and are good people and screw the football team and players who don't want to be here. Maybe the football team should start being more like the people of Buffalo than the people of Buffalo hanging their heads all the time as if they have any say in the outcome of a game. The days of the Electric Co. are gone. Kelly, Thomas, Reed and Smith are no longer. You're cheering for laundry now and if Shanahan doesn't want to come to Buffalo either and is holding out for a better job elsewhere screw him too. There are 32 NFL head coaching jobs in the world and there was a day when it would be a honor to be offered any one of them. Now we have coaches acting like the players and holding out for more money and thumbing their noses at some cities. It's all really sad.

  13. Washington D.C., local radio news station WTOP is reporting that the Buffalo Bills are interviewing Mike Shanahan

Here in Washington D.C., local radio news station WTOP is reporting that the Buffalo Bills are interviewing Mike Shanahan to coach the Bills.

The report did not say whether, if accepted, Shanahan would finish the season up in Buffalo or would take over at the end of the season.

I think if he did take the job he would start at the conclusion of the season. I also think since the Bills do not have a General Manager, Shanahan would be negotiating for that position as well.

    "Bleacher Report"

Holy Snikes, Im going to have to go dust of my Zubas.

  14. Is this some type of attempt at humor stereotyping african americans that is going over my head?

Hopefully he is referring to some local news clips from earlier in the season where thye spoke about Perry Fewell but showed video footage of Demontie Cross. I do remember thinking that they were not showing Fewell in their footage.

  15. Marv's terrible tenure as GM now well and truly behind us....

Bills fans have to be the biggest bunch of dopes on the planet. You had a coach, Wade Phillips, who went 29-19 but he isn't good enough. No, fans want Wade fired because he doesn't speak well. Have you ever listened to the people who call WGR? Most of them can't have much more than a 5th grade vocabulary and are as coherent as Carl Spackler and they're the ones saying fire Wade because he is a poor public speaker. Move over Williams, Mularkey and Jauron because here comes Mike Nolan.
