  1. Of all the issues surrounding this team, the last thing they needed was to start the 2010 pre-season with 2 straight away games.

In a way I almost feel sorry for the players because they go from being boo'd to the veritable ghost town that is the Rogers Center. What a sad abomination that place is.

I can't make it to the game next week but I'm hoping they get a nice home welcome. They're going to need the 12th man more than ever this year.

The place will be mostly kids... although I just bought 3 tickets in section...142? I'll be there skipping my fantasy football draft to cheer on the team!

I wonder if T.O. plays with some extra motivation - perfect for our defense

  2. See, it's all the same.

Helmets are the same, fields are the same. See? it's Peyton Manning, he's the same. Controls are the same, scoreboards the same...

I wonder if the kid knows how close he got to slipping into a genuinely hilarious and poignant satire about ****ty youtube videos and Madden reviews.

    Commentary is the same...

... the only thing that isn't the same is the commentary

    lol

  3. I think you're weak at QB and WR #3. I love Sims-Walker as a #2. His floor is #20, with his ceiling being a legitimate #1 or top #2 WR.

I never like using a TE as a flex, but I'm fine with Witten there. If you got him at a good value, he should give you good production in a PPR.

I'm not a very big Rivers fan. I think Kolb & Cutler have a chance to do much better than him this year, and he's generally going above his value.

    Thank you

Everyone was pissed when I took Sims Walker in the...8th round. I'm assuming that it was a good thing. I wasn't too high on him in PPR but I guess we'll see!

  4. In a 10 team league maybe there is a team that is heavy in receivers that you can trade one of your TE's with? After Austin it is kind of lean. I did have Sims Walker last year that I picked up off the waiver wire and he was decent.

I use Witten as my flex because I don't like the other players as a flex except for Ricky Williams

    I just picked up Hester

  5. The league settings is 1 point per reception (PPR) and 10 teams

    1 QB

    2 RB

    3 WR

    1 TE

    1 Flex - TE/WR/RB

    1 Defense

    1 Kicker

    Here is my team:

QB: Philip Rivers / Jay Cutler

RB: Chris Johnson / DeAngelo Williams / Jerome Harrison / Ricky Williams / Tim Hightower

TE: Dallas Clark / Jason Witten

WR: Miles Austin / Mike Sims Walker / Percy Harvin / Devin Hester / Mohamed Massaquoi / Chaz Schilens

    D: Pittsburgh Defense

    K: Ryan Longwell (Minnesota)

I think my I have a killer draft but I'm lacking in the WR department. I took 2 of the best tight ends in the draft which probably hurt me in the receiver position but Witten is definitely a sexy flex spot

  6. when was the last time you were there?

I worked for a summer in Cleveland in 2001, and it was just as nice then.

Buffalo has the same potential. Every time I go to or through Buffalo (not often, but most recently in March), it always reminds me of Philly or having the potential of Philly (i.e., with the water and the shipyards, etc.).

Buffalo has potential... but it is lacking in the tourist department. Anchor Bar isn't going to attract thousands everyday... I wish Buffalo wasn't in NYS.

  7. I just returned home from Cleveland and damn... that city has changed since I've been there. The waterfront is incredible... has the browns stadium, science museum, and rock and roll hall of fame. The streets are very kept up and clean... and wow... it was about as busy as a Buffalo weekday on a SATURDAY.

I wish Buffalo was more like Cleveland - city wise. :wallbash:

  8. Hello everyone. I have been viewing this site for a while now and I just wanted to get a little help with a trip I'm planning the weekend of Nov. 26th. I plan on flying out that day so I can make the game on Sunday against the Steelers. I've been a fan since the mid 80's and I figure its time to go see a game in real Bills weather (From CA). The only other game I have been to is their game against the Cardinals in 08'. I will be out there solo, since it is a holiday weekend and my girls will be with their mom. Any help in regards to seat selection, hotels, local hangouts, etc would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your help.

    Here's what you do.

    1. Order some inexpensive tickets from STUBHUB.com. They are very cheap and to be honest - every seat has a great view.

    2. I used priceline.com for my trip to Las Vegas (4 nights at Caesars Palace). It was only $630 for the flight roundtrip and hotel! I figure it will be cheaper in Buffalo. I recommend staying at Adams Mark, The Hyatt, or the Avant (a bit pricier).

    3. Enjoy your time here - your hotels (if you chose mine) are all walking distance/driving distance to HSBC Arena, Anchor Bar, The waterfront, and shopping on Elmwood.
