  1. I have no idea about who will go where in the draft but if Sanchez or any good QB is stil on the board at #11, the Skins could make an attractive trade-down partner for Buffalo.

    PTR

I agree, especially to jump ahead of Denver who may look at # 12 to get a QB, perhaps if things fall the right way for us, we could have a bidding war for the #11 pick.

  2. I like the Robot. He came out entered the draft after his junior year. He shows good form and technique in his drills. Additional his verticle jump must measure of the chart. I would rate him him as a potential late fourth or early fifth round selctions.

So that means we reach for him at pick # 11, how is his motor anyway?

  3. and make a trade with Kansas city to get Aaron Curry, he is going to be a Patrick Willis type of impact player and will anchor our defense for years to come, he can play multiple positions if we need him at DE or OLB, then continue with the draft from then on... OG Herman Johnson with our 2nd pick ...and then Tight End Jared Cook with our 3rd.. thats a solid draft so far ... I cant see why it cant happen

I would love to see Aaron Curry in a Bills uniform, however if we could get lets say Eugene Monroe with 11 and maybe Clay Matthews with the 28th pick, and somehow Jarron Gilbert falls to us in 2nd round, I would rather have 3 players that can help then trading 2 first round picks for one player. But this is the Bills so we can speculate until the card is handed to the commish next Sat., and probably still guess wrong.

  4. Vick is free in four months - how about Vick to T.O for six all season long? Why not? It will put butts in seats, would bring much needed publicity to the team and you can bet that there will be no one in the NFL on beter behavior that Vick....and RW could probably get him on the cheap for a year or two....

I heard that Vick is going to the Dulphelons and is gonna be their new Wildcat formation QB....well i didnt hear it as much as i made it up....

  5. No doubt. That would explain the longevity of their careers.

Is it fair to tarnish a players reputation, and or legacy by commenting on unconfirmed internet rumors?....I am not passing judgement until more facts are out, i think others should do the same. And i doubt any rumors would hurt draft stock, look at players like Warren Sapp, who had a positive weed test prior to his draft. Who here wouldnt love to see a player like Matthews in a Bills uni?

  6. If we cut some players, I think we would be able to trade for Tom Brady. Cut Peters, Schoebel & Kelsay to clear up wasteful cap for space. Then trade our 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks to the Pats. Then it would make us instant Super Bowl contenders. Go Bills!

    What do you guys think?

    :D

"wow?" The effects of cabin fever?

  7. Crabtree could be that guy on the other side of Lee Evans for the next 6 years, like Boldin and Fitz in Ariz, TO is most likely history after this season anyway.

Sanchez could be a backup to Edwards who seems to be made of glass and who knows how many games he will actually play in this season with another makeshift O line and no decent blocking TE.

If the O line can jell and Edwards can stay upright then perhaps use Sanchez as trade bait and get 2 #1 picks or more from a desperate team in need of a starting QB.

Or do the Bills go after the # 59th rated player to fill a need, like they did with DW

Pass, and pass, unless we find a trade partner to move down a few spots, neither is an area of need.

  8. You guyz have the wrong USC LB. Matthews will be the best out of the bunch. Good tackler, great bloodlines, fastest and most athletic out of the three.

I would be elated if the Bills took any of the 3 USC linebackers, but to me Rey has an x factor about him, ala a safety in Pitts named Troy. But at what value do you rate these guys with the 11th pick?.. Rey for sure, Cushing borderline, and Matthews way too early. So with that said the Bills will draft an undersized DE to play outside linebacker. If they can trade down and get one of these guys that would be the best case scenerio. But we will have to wait and see, These arent your daddys Buffalo Bills anymore....

  9. I'm tired of all the Cutler and TO talk so was looking at some mock drafts and figured it'd be interesting to compare the top DEs in the draft (from what I've read) with the top 5 sack leaders in NFL history in regards to size. The old guys might be misleading as their weight fluctuated over the years, but looks to be bigger the better.

    Bruuuuce 6-4, 262lb

    Reggie White 6-5, 285lb

    Kevin Greene 6-3, 247lb (linebacker)

    Chris Doleman 6-5, 287lb

    Michael Strahan 6-5, 255lb

    Maybin 6-4, 248lb

    Brown 6-2, 256lb

    Orakpo 6-3, 263lb

    Jackson 6-4, 296lb

    English 6-3, 255lb

I know nothing about the guys above, but thought it would spark conversation.

    Where are Erik Flowers stats?......

In his weekly appearance on WEEI in Boston, Adam Schefter of NFL Network said that the Panthers won’t be trading defensive end Julius Peppers to the Patriots.

“That trade is not gonna happen,” Schefter told Dennis & Callahan of WEEI.

Schefter cited the financial investment that Peppers would require and the looming class of Patriots free agents (including Vince Wilfork and Richard Seymour), who will be on the market in 2010.

Schefter’s opinion conflicts sharply with a Monday report from Vic Carucci of NFL.com, who seemed to suggest that a trade would happen at some point between the upcoming league meetings (which open on March 22) and the 2009 draft.

“I’m telling you, they’re not gonna do it,” Schefter said later in the segment. “. . . . I don’t believe for a second there’s any truth to it.”

It is a violation of NFL rules for the Panthers to be discussing trade with any team at this point, not until Peppers signs his tender. However once he does sign his tender he can be traded for lesser compensation ala Jared Allen last year. With that i say the Pats are still in the hunt with the draft picks they have at their disposal i believe if they really want Peppers, and it appears Peppers wants them. They have the picks to get it done. So at this point its all speculation, but thanks for your input Schefter.

  11. He is close friends with Tom Donahoe who after 5 years with the Bills and 1 winning season was forced out after alienating fans and the front office. I mean, the guy confiscated fans' signs about him, who does that?

Since then Mort has held a grudge against Ralph Wilson which permeates into all his Buffalo Bills reporting, and will likely be the first to piss on his grave.

Whoops...there I go again...this could turn into another epic thread.

Thank you for the response, i dont have the time or desire to read through all the threads about Mort, i just wanted to know where the anomosity came from, and now i know. And like G.I. JOE says..." knowing is half the battle"..

  12. Sorry if it seemed to serious, more like, "here we go again" with record thing...

I like Trent, and I hope he does well this year and I will still wear his jersey, it just baffles me when people make claims about how he is better than someone like Cutler and point to Cutlers and Trents records as the reason why. Trent's record isnt so great to begin with, but more importantly, a QB's record is an inaccurate way to grade his performance on the field because he does not own that record individually. Football is a team sport and it takes a team to win and it takes a team to lose. Granted, the QB position is the most important on the field as they touch the ball on every play and they do have a bigger impact than any other position in terms of wining and losing, but its still a team win or a team loss. A QB can play great and still lose, and a QB can play terrible and still win...so its not a fair assesment.

    agreed!

  13. I agree completely!

This year is an important year for many people, and now seems like a logical year to make a stronger push than normal.

A trade for Scheffler would seem like a good move. If we didn't go this route, a pick in Pettigrew would make an immediate impact. I believe this player is as NFL ready as anyone in the draft. He is physical, big and would be an imposing blocker, who has the quickness , big target and hands to be a good safety valve immediately.

We dont need a te anymore Owens is gonna catch all the balls that would have been thrown to them....j/k Scheffler and a starting guard on paper should give us an explosive offense.....get r done Russ!

  14. My gosh, can your argument here be any more lame about how to compare these QB's...you want to talk about records and playoff appearances, what exactly has Trent done? We havent been to the playoffs either and Trents record isnt so great, so whats your point? And who the hell cares about record between the QB's, I mean seriously, you act if Cutler and Edwards step out onto the field alone. This isnt Golf, its a team sport. So, I guess Drew Brees isnt very good either because he didnt make the playoffs last year, and his overall record isnt very good.

Or maybe, just maybe, record for a QB is not a very good indication of how good a QB is. Denver hasnt made it to the playoffs because their defense is the worst in the league, and depsite Cutler and the offense putting up points, the defense gives up more.

Cutler is a Pro Bowl QB who had over 4500 yards passing last year, a much better TD:Turnover ratio, way more TD's, and MOST importantly has gotten BETTER every year where Trent clearly regressed the second half of last year. Plus he has a stronger arm...so how does he not have upside?

Does it mean Trent doesnt have potential, no. But to say Trent has more upside or is a better QB is ludricris considering Cutler has severly out played Trent to this point and keeps getting better. I seriously doubt there would be even a single team in the NFL, including the Bills, that would choose Trent over Cutler straight up...

wow, dont take it so seriously, it was a joke, meaning neither guy has been in the playoffs. And you tell me this put Cutler on our team last year does he throw for 4500 yards?....do the Bills make the playoffs?.... Did the Broncos have a better OC?....better HC?....more weapons to throw the ball to?...Royal, Marshall, oh and yeah they had a tight end who caught the ball Scheffler?...I value everyones opinion, and to each their own, but im not giving up on T.E. ...besides this is NOT going to happen so the point is moot!

  15. He has a better arm, and the 2009 BUF pass offense will be either bombs to the twin fly pattern queens or behind-the-LOS dumps.

    We must talk Turk.

If it was just a matter of arm strength J.P. wouldnt still be looking for a job, the qb position is also mental, and im not sure about Cutlers make up. Besides who said T.E. does not have arm strength?
