Former Bills DB Nickell Robey-Coleman drawing wrong kind of attention before Super Bowl

‘“Words got taken out of context,” Robey-Coleman said. “I wasn’t trying to get on his age, I wasn’t trying to do nothing like that. … He’s the GOAT, he’s a legend. So I’m not taking nothing from his game. I was asked a question about the difference between him in the past and him now, I just said, ‘His age.”

Bills keep some special teams continuity by signing Reid Ferguson

‘“It’s something I’ve obviously been working hard toward for a long time,” Ferguson said from his home in Atlanta. “For the team to show they want to keep me here for awhile is something I greatly appreciate.”’

Bills add assistant offensive line coach Terry Heffernan

‘He is the third new member of the Bills’ coaching staff to be announced, joining Johnson and new special teams coach Heath Farwell. The Bills have yet to announce a wide receivers coach.’

Super Bowl 2019: Former Bills CB Nickell Robey-Coleman hates the New England Patriots

‘“I’ve got Buffalo blood running through my veins, so you know I hate these guys,” Robey-Coleman told Bleacher Report’s Tyler Dunne ahead of the big game. “I naturally hate them. I never liked New England.”’

Bills re-sign Ferguson; hire assistant offensive line coach

‘He was initially signed by the Bills as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2016 following four years at LSU. Ferguson spent his first season on Buffalo’s practice squad before taking over the long-snapping job the following year.’

Bills extend long snapper Ferguson

‘The Bills have had just two long snappers in the last 10 years. Reid Ferguson took over for Garrison Sanborn in 2016, after Sanborn spent eight seasons here in Buffalo.’

Bills add Terry Heffernan to staff as assistant offensive line coach

‘Heffernan, who most recently served as Associate head coach/offensive line coach at Eastern Kentucky, has three years of NFL coaching experience. He was the assistant offensive line coach for the Detroit Lions for two seasons and a quality control coach for the offensive line for one season (2013-2015).’

Bills re-sign long snapper Reid Ferguson

‘Ferguson, 24, has been the team’s long snapper for each of the last two seasons after serving on the team’s practice squad in 2016.’

Bills Today: Sean McDermott: Bills poised to take step forward

‘“You look back at our season and you say we won six games, and why weren’t we better?” McDermott said. “It’s a weird feeling, because you feel like we were better than winning six games, yet at the same time, you feel like, ‘Gosh, we’ve got this young football team that is developing,’ and the signs of growth, the signs of development that we’ve seen just through the course of this season is significant.”’
