Heath Farwell aims to bring energy, passion as Bills new special teams coach

‘“I’m a high-energy guy,” Farwell said at the Senior Bowl on Wednesday upon being introduced as the Bills’ new special teams coordinator. “I’m a hands-on coach. That’s the way I was as a player. I try to portray that to the players. Hopefully they feed off that. They see if I’m running around and having fun and embracing it, and they feel that love for them, I think it usually translates. They see it, and it kind of elevates their play.”’

Bills RB LeSean McCoy issues strongest denial to date of alleged home assault

‘”I’ve never been involved with anything like that, ever,” he said. “I’ve never hit a woman. I’ve never put my hands on a woman. I never beat my son. All that stuff is nonsense. But like I said, at the end, you know, we’ll figure it out and you’ll see the truth.”‘

Bills’ LeSean McCoy sounds off on NFL Pro Bowl process

‘“It was a tough year, especially for myself. You talk about my age, but I can still play,” McCoy said on ESPN’s First Take. “Since I’ve been on the Bills I’ve been a Pro Bowler. Not no alternate and all this getting picked because somebody didn’t want to play.”’

2 Buffalo Bills named to ESPN’s 2018 biggest draft steals team

‘Following the 2018 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills’ GM went out and picked up two undrafted players from the Alabama Crimson Tide, wide receiver Robert Foster and cornerback Levi Wallace. Neither player made an immediate impact for the Bills, but both players were starters by the end of the season. Just how good were Foster and Wallace? Pro Football Focus (PFF) named both players to their ESPN+ article on biggest 2018 draft steals.’

Senior Bowl 2019: Why Kansas State OT Dalton Risner would love to play for Bills

‘“My buddy Glenn Gronkowski played down there in Buffalo for a little bit,” Risner said. “I have a really good friend, Harrison Phillips, who plays defensive tackle for ya’ll. Another small-town, corn-fed kid like myself. I really like that guy a lot. I’d love to be in Buffalo and help out their offensive line.”’

Beane reiterates Bills won’t draft for need

‘“I’m always going to be emphatic about that,” he said. “I know people say, ‘well last year you needed a quarterback and you drafted one.’ Well, my answer to that would be, ‘we didn’t draft him at 21. We moved up to where we thought we had to get to do that.’ If we had stayed at 21 and just taken whatever quarterback was left then, that would have been drafting for need. We’re at nine and we’re going to take the best player, offense or defense, and we’ll continue to do that rounds two, three, and beyond.’

5 takeaways from Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane at the 2019 Senior Bowl

‘”Well sometimes that’s not always the most popular decision and maybe not even in the building, and obviously with the fans, but you know, coaches, they want good players to help them execute and do their job better. But again, my job is to bring the best players that I can to the Buffalo Bills to give Sean and his staff. And if you start reaching, it may not hurt you immediately, but over time, you’re taking less talented players, your team is going to suffer a little bit.”‘

Allen pays unexpected birthday visit

‘The TeamSuperCade twitter feed posted a picture of Allen arriving for the party and giving Cade a hug. The picture was taken by Cade’s father Mike and Allen’s girlfriend Brittany Williams is following the Bills quarterback through the door holding what is likely to be some sort of baked goodie.’

Heath Farwell plans to bring energy and effort as the coordinator of the Bills special teams unit

‘“That’s the first thing I look at every time I turn the tape on. And I’ll make that really clear to our guys. Energy, effort, strain – you got to show that passion. That’s what special teams are all about.”’

Why the Senior Bowl is an important piece of the Bills scouting process

‘“That’s why I’m here,” head coach Sean McDermott said this week in between Senior Bowl practices in Mobile. “That’s why we’re here. We believe in this process here. We get a chance to not only watch these young men perform on the field, but also get a chance to be around them in the evening where we can interview them and get up close and personal with them, have a better understanding for who they are as people and what motivates them as professionals.”‘

Bills Today: Josh Allen, Kim Pegula are ‘shaping the NFL’

‘“She and husband Terry, the still-relatively-new owners of the Bills, are always together at league owners meetings, and it’s clear Kim has a significant role in the operations of the team,” Graziano wrote. “Another woman on the rise in a league that hasn’t traditionally seen many in positions of prominence.”‘
