Two Bills Drive

Drew Bledsoe in a Bills uniform intrigues me. GM Tom Donahoe and his right-hand man, Tom Modrak, know how to build a playoff team and they will right Buffalo’s ship sooner rather than later.

With the addition of Bledsoe, Buffalo becomes a bona fide contender for New England’s crown. The Bills’ offense — now directed by Kevin Gilbride — has a leader who can get the ball downfield to receivers Eric Moulds, Peerless Price and Josh Reed, the team’s second-round draft pick.

After spending the weekend modeling the new uniforms, the Bills were back on the football field on Monday for the first of four workouts this week before breaking until camp begins on July 24.

Don Beebe's End Zone Chase: Perseverance. Toughness. The absolute inability to quit. Those are the qualities that make up the greatest play ever in Buffalo Bills history. It's also one of the most memorable plays ever in a Super Bowl, and the lone bright spot in a painful loss for Buffalo.

QB Drew Bledsoe, who was injured early in the season and never regained his starting job, was invited but did not attend the ceremony. WR Terry Glenn, who played four games between injuries and suspensions, did not receive a ring.

‘Despite filing a logo for trademark – a “B” folded into the head of a buffalo – the team did not include it. The Bills remain one of only 9 NFL teams to feature jersey numbers on the sides of their shoulders instead of on the tops of them. Many teams have put numbers on the tops so they can include a secondary logo on the sides. The fact remains that the Bills have a secondary logo registered to them, but have decided not to use it.’

"The hemorrhaging hasn’t quite stopped yet," said agent Jack Wirth, who represents Jay Riemersma, the Buffalo tight end whose continued tenure with the franchise remains an iffy proposition. "There still could be a little more blood before camp."
