Callahan said Kennedy saw a neurologist Thursday and received clearance to play Sunday. Kennedy sustained a concussion last Sunday against the Tennessee Titans and missed most of practice this week.

At the rate he is going, he will surpass Dan Marino's seemingly untouchable 1984 season. Bledsoe also is on his way to bumping the greatest Bill of them all, Jim Kelly, from multiple spots in the team record book.

Most memorable play: "I threw a touchdown pass in this total blizzard against the Washington Huskies, a cross-state rival. My receiver caught it and slide in a snow bank underneath the goalpost. We all ran down there and got into a snowball fight under the goal post."

Which defense is better equipped to handle the other team’s offense? The Raiders’ defense is better equipped to handle the Bills.

‘"The main thing is that when I’m trying to gain extra yards to just wrap it up," Henry said after practice Friday. "In the Denver game and the Chicago game, I was trying to do extra. That’s when I get into trouble. Once I know I can’t get any extra yards, I have to just wrap it up and go down."’

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Morris Unutoa to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Unutoa played in 28 games for Tampa Bay from 1999-2000. He played the last eight games of 2001 with the Buffalo Bills. He replaces Solwold, the team’s long snapper for the first four games.

October 5, 1980 – BILLS STAY PERFECT, RECORD IS 5-0

The Bills went San Diego and upset the Chargers 26-24, in a battle of unbeatens. Buffalo was the only unbeaten team in the NFL. A crowd of five thousand fans met the Bills at the airport early Monday morning.

Former Buffalo Bills punter/linebacker Paul Maguire will be inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame with the Class of 2002 at the organization's 12th annual awards dinner on October 16 at the HSBC Arena in downtown Buffalo. He will join ten other inductees including former pro football players Mark Murphy (Washington Redskins), Rick Cassatta (Canadian League) and Tom Colella (former Rams, Browns and Bills player now deceased).
