But it’s exactly what I did it every day of my career, and it paid off.”‘

‘”He’s like the Dennis Rodman of the NFL,” Shea said. “That’s his game. I didn’t know what to expect last year, but I’ll be ready this year. I’ll have my head on a swivel. If he wants to play dirty, we can play dirty.”‘

“I think I’ll be very helpful with just my natural instincts as a player,” Spikes said. “A lot of people are not blessed with that. A lot of people are athletically built and they look like Tarzan, but play like Jane.”

NFL 101 is specifically designed to teach women the X’s and O’s of football and find out what happens behind the scenes in the NFL. Wear your comfortable clothes and be prepared to participate! Along with the classroom session, there will be interactive football drills led by former Bills as well as a tour of the training facility. Food will be provided.

Approximately 200 youth football players from the NFL’s Junior Player Development program (J.P.D.) in Syracuse attended the Bills afternoon practice on Tuesday, July 29 at training camp. The kids, which are 12-15 years old, all wore their Bills J.P.D. jerseys.

In 1997, Campbell’s Chunky soup established "Tackling Hunger," an annual hunger relief program. This program weighs each selected NFL team’s "chunkiest" linemen and "hungriest" up-and-coming players during training camp to generate donations on behalf of their team.

"I forget how many years I’ve been doing this, I’ve done it for a couple of years," said Ruben Brown. "Last year we had Pat Williams help us, this year I got Mike Williams."

”’I’d be lying to you if I said it didn’t mean anything,” Campbell said after Thursday’s practice in suburban Rochester. ”It’s only a scrimmage and you try to be smart. But at the same time, I want to play well.”’

‘”You gotta have game to wear red shoes,” Moulds agrees. “If you’re a guy on the team who can make plays, then you can earn the red shoes. Kevin Thomas came to me last year at the Green Bay game and asked me if he could wear red shoes. I told him, “You’ve got to get an interception first.’ So he got an interception and got the right to wear the red shoes.”‘

‘"Mike does not have an eating problem and never really has," Jones said. "You’d be amazed how little he eats. He’s not a gorger or anything like that, where you’re trying to fight the demons. That’s not a problem at all."’

‘Clements and Toine looked casual, almost as though they were going at 50%. Toine had an opportunity for a pick and Clements got lost in the sun on a left field underthrown bomb from Bledsoe to Moulds. Eric caught it as clements held and then dragged him down, perhaps the most exciting moment of the day.’

‘Reese, who started 15 games for the Broncos last year after four seasons with Dallas, knows what he needs to do. ” I need to make some plays and make some things happen and make my presence felt,” he said. ” I have to separate myself. That’s what training camp is for. You don’t know who’s going to start and that’s what it takes each time I step out here.”‘

‘” I was kind of like dumbfounded,” he said. ” There’s two sides of it. One side, you’re not wanted. The second side, you are wanted. You have to decide which side is stronger."’

‘More than 20,000 have bought tickets for Saturday’s 10 a.m. scrimmage against the Bills. The club expects a crowd of 30,000, maybe more, in Cleveland Browns Stadium.’
