‘”Football is not rocket science,” DeLamielleure told the men in pads, his booming chest and muscular arms commanding respect – he was still playing arena football at 42. “One play at a time. It’s that simple. If you did good on a play, or if you did bad, think no more of it. Do well on the next play. I got that advice from one of my coaches, Jim Ringo, a man of few words. But it’s exactly what I did it every day of my career, and it paid off.”‘

‘”He’s like the Dennis Rodman of the NFL,” Shea said. “That’s his game. I didn’t know what to expect last year, but I’ll be ready this year. I’ll have my head on a swivel. If he wants to play dirty, we can play dirty.”‘
Spikes looks to shine in 'Super' season
“I think I’ll be very helpful with just my natural instincts as a player,” Spikes said. “A lot of people are not blessed with that. A lot of people are athletically built and they look like Tarzan, but play like Jane.”

Campbell's Soup and the NFL Tackling Hunger
In 1997, Campbell’s Chunky soup established "Tackling Hunger," an annual hunger relief program. This program weighs each selected NFL team’s "chunkiest" linemen and "hungriest" up-and-coming players during training camp to generate donations on behalf of their team.
"I forget how many years I’ve been doing this, I’ve done it for a couple of years," said Ruben Brown. "Last year we had Pat Williams help us, this year I got Mike Williams."
Bills tight end Campbell anxious to face former team
”’I’d be lying to you if I said it didn’t mean anything,” Campbell said after Thursday’s practice in suburban Rochester. ”It’s only a scrimmage and you try to be smart. But at the same time, I want to play well.”’
Training camp billboard
‘”You gotta have game to wear red shoes,” Moulds agrees. “If you’re a guy on the team who can make plays, then you can earn the red shoes. Kevin Thomas came to me last year at the Green Bay game and asked me if he could wear red shoes. I told him, “You’ve got to get an interception first.’ So he got an interception and got the right to wear the red shoes.”‘
Massive tackle Williams striving for flexibility
‘"Mike does not have an eating problem and never really has," Jones said. "You’d be amazed how little he eats. He’s not a gorger or anything like that, where you’re trying to fight the demons. That’s not a problem at all."’
Training Camp Report
‘Clements and Toine looked casual, almost as though they were going at 50%. Toine had an opportunity for a pick and Clements got lost in the sun on a left field underthrown bomb from Bledsoe to Moulds. Eric caught it as clements held and then dragged him down, perhaps the most exciting moment of the day.’
Focus on free safety
‘Reese, who started 15 games for the Broncos last year after four seasons with Dallas, knows what he needs to do. ” I need to make some plays and make some things happen and make my presence felt,” he said. ” I have to separate myself. That’s what training camp is for. You don’t know who’s going to start and that’s what it takes each time I step out here.”‘
Tight end psyched for visit
‘” I was kind of like dumbfounded,” he said. ” There’s two sides of it. One side, you’re not wanted. The second side, you are wanted. You have to decide which side is stronger."’
