‘”He’s an absolute stud,” Allen said. “He makes us a better team, and throughout the entire training camp and OTA portion, we understood that. We knew that. I’m just very proud of how he handled everything this offseason and didn’t let it become a distraction because he’s looking as good as he ever has. So, very happy for him, one of my favorite teammates I’ve ever had.”’

Bills' QB Josh Allen learns that sometimes, it's OK for Superman to be Clark Kent
‘“Although it’s sometimes necessary for Allen to put the Bills on his back, he had issues early in his career of trying to do too much on his own,” ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg wrote. “That still comes up sometimes, but the Bills have shown that they don’t have to rely solely on Allen’s arm and legs. That was on display versus the Jets, as Buffalo’s dominant rushing attack led the way. James Cook finished with 132 yards and two touchdowns, and Allen didn’t score in a start for just the eighth time in his NFL career.”’
McDermott says Matt Milano could return this week
‘McDermott did not commit to the nine-year veteran returning on Wednesday, and also didn’t completely rule out a longer term injury, but said, “We’ll see. Hopefully we’ll get him back as we head into tomorrow here,” adding he could “potentially” practice on Wednesday.’
'We need to deflate them': Buffalo Bills preparing for Miami Dolphins team searching for first win
‘“ I’m sure they’re ready to get back on track,” right tackle Spencer Brown said. “We’ve got to prevent that, but maybe they throw in some gimmick stuff or start blitzing or more trick plays, whatever they’ve got. But we’re ready for that, we’re ready for whatever they bring for us.”’
This date in Bills stadium history: Sept. 17
‘1981 — Eagles 20, Bills 17 — In a homecoming game for Lackawanna native Ron Jaworski, the Eagles quarterback passed for 240 yards and two touchdowns to lead the reigning NFC champions in an early season matchup between unbeaten teams on ABC’s Thursday Night Football. “Jaws” as he was called walked off the turf at Rich Stadium with his older brother Bill and nephew Jeff, the Lackawanna QB at the time. “I guess the Super Bowl was a bigger game, but this was more emotional,” Jaworski’s brother told Hall of Fame Eagles historian Ray Didinger a few years back. Buffalo QB Joe Ferguson had for 187 yards passing with a TD to Frank Lewis, negated by two interceptions. The Bills didn’t lose another home game in 1981, finishing with a 10-6 record, same as Philadelphia.’
Bills DE Joey Bosa enjoying "fresh start", making instant impact in Buffalo.
‘”Obviously having my hand down and being able to rush the passer, kind of getting back to my roots and you know what I played throughout my entire career in college, it was easy to pick up and yeah, it’s been enjoyable,” Bosa said after practice Tuesday.’
James Cook’s breakout game sparks excitement for Bills’ offense
‘“I really thought that week two and beyond, he would hit his rhythm, hit his groove a little bit more, because he missed a little bit of time right there, and maybe a window of a week, give or take, a training camp. So really good to see him last week, have the performance he did,” McDermott said.’
'Swarming to the ball' | Josh Allen, Sean McDermott and Bills players get ready for TNF vs. Miami

Upon Further Review: Joey Bosa's addition is paying early dividends for the Bills
‘Bosa was a beast Sunday in the Bills’ 30-10 win against the New York Jets, finishing with two tackles, one sack and two forced fumbles. He did that playing just 26 defensive snaps, which was 55% of the team total.’
Blowout win allows Bills to ease Tre'Davious White back into action
‘To wit: Cornerback Tre’Davious White played 26 defensive snaps in his return to the lineup after missing Week 1 with a groin injury. That was 55% of the defensive total. It’s possible the Bills could have used White more against the Jets, but there was simply no need.’
Bills linebacker Matt Milano's status uncertain because of pectoral injury
‘McDermott wasn’t prepared to say whether Milano’s absence would be short term. “I don’t know,” McDermott said when asked if Milano may be out long term. “We’ll see.”’
Policing Bills games should get easier with design of new stadium
‘That could mean the need for fewer Erie County Sheriff’s Office personnel on the scene for game days starting next season. While Town of Orchard Park police patrol around the stadium, Erie County sheriff’s deputies are on the scene at the game inside and right outside the stadium on team property.’
Alan Pergament: Nantz, Romo try to enliven Bills 'slightly boring' victory during garbage time
‘Nantz and Romo went deep down into the garbage time bag to try and make the broadcast entertaining. They spent time celebrating Nantz’s 40-year CBS career covering the NFL; playing the old CBS theme song for the NFL; and airing an old black-and-white clip of the first game in 1960 between the Bills and the Jets, who were then called the New York Titans.’
Bills look to continue dominance over AFC rivals: What to know about Week 3
‘And while the Dolphins have been the closest team to Buffalo in the standings, finishing second in each of the last three seasons and in four of the five, they have been woefully inept head-to-head, losing 10 of the 11 meetings between the teams.’

‘NFL teams have to submit a report on practice participation on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for a Thursday game. There are three levels of practice participation that can be designated: did not participate, limited participation and full participation.’
