Opinion: Bills passing game needs immediate help

‘The six-game review of the offense looks like this: Josh Allen is still one of the top quarterbacks in the league, but after throwing just six interceptions last season, Allen has been picked off four times in the first six games. Allen has also been sacked 12 times, which is just two off his total from last season.’

Opinion: Panthers on the prowl

‘Young’s play had improved slightly during the win streak, but the Panthers’ passing game was still very limited. It remains to be seen if Dalton can change that.’

How can the Buffalo Bills get back in the win column against Carolina Panthers?

‘”You take it one day at a time, one week at a time, that’s how the league is. When you get too far ahead of yourself or look too far in the past, you lose focus on where you’re at,” says head coach Sean McDermott.’

Could Jordan Poyer be getting an expanded role with the Buffalo Bills?

‘“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity to be able to come here and play for this organization once again and, you know, just do everything that I can to help this team win football games,” Poyer said on Wednesday. “Whether that’s my scout team, whether that’s being up, you know, whenever that is, I’m just staying ready to play.”’

Bills Make Me Wanna Give: Alec Anderson advocates for mental health

‘“I think that especially as men and as football players, we’re taught to harbor our emotions and kind of never really let them out or even for us to explore them,” Anderson said. “And so I think with more NFL players talking about their mental health, it’s kind of easier for the community to open up their minds and want to help their own mental health or somebody that they know.”’

Today in Bills stadium history: Oct. 24

‘1976 — Patriots 26, Bills 22 — O.J. Simpson rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns but that wasn’t quite good enough in Buffalo’s third of 10 straight losses to close out the ’76 season. With Joe Ferguson lost for the season to a back injury early on, backup quarterback Gary Marangi was 6 for 22 passing for 61 yards with a touchdown to Bob Chandler and an interception, along with 74 yards rushing. Sam Cunningham gained 161 scrimmage yards for New England, while Steve Grogan totaled 124 yards with touchdowns rushing and passing. The teams combined for 11 fumbles (seven lost) with the Bills on the losing end of the split. Attendance at Rich Stadium was 45,144.’

Bills at Panthers | Weekly notes, quotes and stats before Week 8 matchup

‘”A great organization that was very kind to me and helpful with my career,” McDermott said of Carolina. “Coached with a lot of great coaches and great players also. I learned so much from being there. It was a great time for me. The Super Bowl was a tremendous moment. So, I learned a lot from being there, I’m super happy here.”‘

BillsBeat - October 23, 2025

Analysis: Despite recent hiccups, all of Bills' goals are still in front of them

‘To McDermott’s point, the sky isn’t necessarily falling. The Bills currently are the fifth seed in the AFC, but could move as high as No. 2 with a win Sunday at Carolina and some help. The offense, for as much as it has struggled the past two weeks, still ranks No. 3 in the league in yards per game (378.3), and No. 4 in points per game (27.8). The Bills lead the league in rushing yards per game (151.0). The league MVP is still here, even if Josh Allen hasn’t quite played up to that lofty standard the past couple games.’

Buffalo News | Oct 23, 2025

Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobi are back with the Bills. How soon can they help?

‘It will be a process to fi x the problems that caused the Bills to lose consecutive games, and as many as five starters may not be available when the Bills face the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.’

Bills notebook: Josh Allen's grandma wants him to smile more; injury report

‘“She felt that way, yeah, I guess I must not have been … it’s no fun obviously losing, and maybe that’s why,” Allen said. “It’s a lot easier to smile when you’re winning. But ultimately again going out there and just trying to execute and having fun with it.”’

Bills defense needs help and Hoecht, Ogunjobi are ready to deliver as suspensions end

‘“I was screaming at the TV sometimes,” Hoecht said. “Honestly, it’s tough to do when you don’t exactly know what the play call is and what’s going on. You’re just trying to – everything’s new. It’s so different because most of the football I watch (on film), I kind of know the play call and there’s so many times I was watching the game and I just wanted to skip to the next play because I’m doing it how I usually watch film. You just don’t get to do that. I got to enjoy being a football fan for a couple times and then the second that the film got pushed to our iPads, I was there the next morning trying to figure out what happened.”’

Bills injury report raises questions at linebacker before Panthers matchup

‘Coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that the Bills’ two starting linebackers, Terrel Bernard and Matt Milano, would only be limited participants as the team returned to work following its bye week to begin preparing for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.’

Rochester Democrat and Chronicle | Oct 23, 2025

Bills' reinforcements arrive at Wednesday's practice

‘The good news was plentiful on Wednesday, though, with several players back on the practice field. The most notable return was Maxwell Hairston, who has been on Injured Reserve with a knee injury that he suffered in training camp. Hairston had his 21-day practice window opened this week, meaning he will either return in the next three weeks or be placed on season-ending IR.’
