Like all teams, the Bills would rather not telegraph their interest in free agents. In the increasingly secretive and paranoid NFL, most teams try to be covert with their intentions.

Here is the reason we know of their interest in some player but not all players:

When a free agent actually visits, the team has to report this. So there's no way of keeping it secret.

If a team simply makes a phone call to gauge interest, the team does not have to report it. It therefore is a secret unless there's a leak somewhere.

There's no doubt the Bills have reached out to more players than we're aware of.

The question to me is how many of these players say "thanks but no thanks."
