They are, though, rabidly anti-American. And paranoid. There was a shot at restructuring their country and liberalizing it a few years back, but the hard liners of the Khomeni mold found ways to stop it from happening. Their dogma will prevent them from becoming much of a force, in spite of the favors we did for them by removing both Sadaam and the Taliban.
