Black ICE Posted August 30, 2004 Share Posted August 30, 2004 As a bonus to both consumers and store owners, New York state is lifting the sales tax on clothing and footwear items that cost up to $110 for the period Aug. 30 - Sept. 6. Erie and Niagara counties will participate in the sales tax relief program which the state Legislature approves for two, one-week periods.
