  1. I live near a popular NFL reporter for CBS Sports dot com. Guy is plugged in to the scene. Ran into him a few days back and his nugget was McConkey. Scouts and GM's are calling him the best route runner in the draft. Reminding them of Cooper Kupp.

Take it for what it's worth.

  2. Agreed with the assessment that this is the best draft in a decade. Buffalo needs to have an elite, dominant defense for two reasons:

    1. They play in the AFC East with perennial Super Bowl contenders in New England and the NY Jets. NE has a future HOF QB in Brady, the Jets have a powerhouse Defense.

    2. Ralph Wilson Stadium can be one of the loudest, craziest, weather unfriendly stadiums to play at in the NFL.

  3. Johnson has been great. At the same time I am so sick of Lee Evans not trying it is ridiculous. He never fought to come back for the ball on the INT that Fitz threw his way. Coach needs to bench this slug for a game or two to make the same statement to him that he is making to Maybin. And his defenders on this Board can no longer claim he is not posting numbers because of the QB....Fitz is playing as well as any QB in the league.

Best part is that the Bills have Marcus Easley coming off of injury. He was supposedly having a good training camp before the injury.

  4. I'll start with our something not expected but painfully true, our special teams play was weak and uninspired. Guys hoping to make the squad based on special teams blocking and fielding need to fear the next 3 weeks. We missed point of attack assignments and seeing Lankster give up our mid field position regardless of score or intelligence was a painful reminder of fundamentals being missed. We can defend the O-line's performance based on not field our best to start the game but our special team has been a mild pride of recent years that seemed to have been missed / overlooked.

If we lose our field position based on poor choices, we lose precious yards that will not be easy to make up without more of a grind for our obvious weakness at QB. That my friends is a formula for disaster, prepare.

Too many to list. The real question is whether you saw any positive out there? Defense got rag dolled, Offense sputtered, Special Teams looked god-awful. Did anyone spot anything positive other than Levi Brown's quick release?
