  1. Welker will not be out for the whole year because of a torn rotator cuff! I am recovering from my second rotator cuff surgery in the past year (different shoulder). I was completely cleared to do anything after 6 months. I'm sure the Patriots medical staff will have him back to normal even earlier considering he doesn't have to go to a regular 9-5 job and can focus on getting back to normal. What he has to worry about is his leg.....

  2. With the questions swirling around a lost season in 2011, I think there is a very good chance the Bills trade down. If they trade down they save some money and gain another pick. The team appears to be more dedicated to the draft than signing free agents which is also a sign that they could be looking at acquiring more picks to fill holes. With a pick in the middle to late 1st round and an extra 2nd or 3rd they can get a quality NT, OT and QB. For example: Odrick, Ducasse, and Brown or Teebow...just a thought....

  3. You could really call the bluff of the Maybin camp. Sign D.Brooks and pull your contract offer to Maybin. You'll save a bit of money and the impact at this point could be better for the team than having some snivelling rookie who doesn't know what he is doing all season....

  4. As far as I can remember our luck with 1st rounders has not been phenomenal over the past couple years. I really like JP but Mike Williams was the answer...oops, Antwain Smith was the running back of the future, Willis was going to be....The draft in many ways is a crap shoot. We know that Turner can run and we just received a 3rd rounder for Willis. So why not take a different approach to the draft? Very few of our picks have really been that earth shattering.....unless you look at the drafts of the 90's.

  5. Why not go big? Although you would be giving a 1st and a 3rd, you would receive the RB you need. Let's be honest, New England is stocking up with big acquisitions and New York traded for Thomas Jones. Let's get a proven running back who can run wonderfully behind our new line! This would possibly be the acquisition that could keep us in the hunt.
