All I ask is that we please, please, please, put pressure on Rivers when we play them or we will get picked apart. (again) And while I'm making wishes, I hope Houston makes up for their embarassing loss and squishes the fish and Cincinatti shows some pride and beats the Jests.
Just the Bills luck ! I see on the Charger's injury report that WR Chambers will sit out the New England game, and will ready to go the following week in Buffalo ...

How bout these stats: Philly was the worst team in the NHL last season iwth 56 points. As of right now, they are in the playoffs with 91 points. Additionally, Philly fans are idiots (and boo everyone) and Briere is 11th in power paly scoring (which isn't included in +/-).
The Rangers were 6th in conference last year and are competing for 3rd this year. Also, they are one of the best teams after the all star break in the entire NHL.
The Sabres go from President's cup to missing the playoffs.
I really don't count Zubrus because he was a rental player.
Trust me, I'm one of the most positive people ever (I'm a Bills' fan, I have to be
). But the Sabres screwed up badly this offseason. You can't pay everyone but there are too many guys saying they would have taken less to stay here and the organization dropped the ball - whining about Edmonton with Vanek, the Teppo situation, waiting to the last minute to try and get a deal with Drury. This whole season has the reek of an organization that became smug and content (Larry Quinn makes an excellent face for that picture).You nailed it, could not agree more !

Is it that bad in Buffalo that players are making a choice based on the city? I mean does the city of Buffalo have to be totally rebuilt before we can attract players to coming here again? What did Jim, Thurman, Bruce ...etc do in Buffalo for 10 years? I mean this is getting frustrating. I started thinking about it with the Willis thing but now it really bothers me. I haven't been back in a couple years but theirs still running water right? I've heard some good news about what Buffalo might look like in a couple years but is it so bad right now? I notice a lot of the Sabres players seem to like the city.
I do not get it either. As an Eastern Ontario resident I can tell you that my favorite city is definitely Buffalo and it is not just because I support both the Bills and Sabres. I visit often and bring the family to games, we all really enjoy the people and places in and around Buffalo. It is a fresh pace and a major break from all the up tight and ignorant Canadians. Speaking of which, I find one of the AM radio Molson Canadian beer commercials very offensive towards all the fine people of Buffalo. I do not know if you ever heard it as it is being played during Leafs radiobroadcast games.
The commercial is a guy putting a voice phone-answering message on his home phone that goes something like this. Hey if this is ________,_______, he names off about 10 different friends, come on over and watch the game. Then he says, if this is , _________, _________, and names off about 5 of his sister’s friends, come on over but be sure to bring some Molson Canadian. Then he says, if this _______, _________, ________ names off 3 guy’s from Buffalo, then he says, come on over anyways, it is the least we can do, after all, you have to live in Buffalo.
After I heard this I said a silently prayer,. God, please don’t let this loser Leaf team make the play-offs.
Oh by the way, and I was only listening to the Leaf game so that I could hear the score on my 2nd favorite hockey team after the Sabres,,,, that would be whatever team the Leafs are playing that day !

What I mean by this is that the new regime has really put the whole "type" of player ahead of the majority favorite. There could be another linebacker or personality type that appease to Marv and Co. other than Patrick Willis. Do I think they would pass on Patrick Willis if he was there at 12? I doubt it but my point is that I would not be suprised if they picked a different LB that really fits THEIR system to a tee. (maybe that is Willis)It has become very clear that the master plan is under way and they have the remaining pieces already in mind. I have accepted the fact (and like it) that whoever they let go, pick up, draft etc.., there is a darn good reason for it. One of my main problems with this team over the past few years is that there has been ZERO identity. Well, this is fast becoming a youthful, team oriented group of guys out there. You don't want to be on this team, GET OUT! Time for new leadership to step up and move forward!!
