Competent rookie QB and stacking the team isn't exactly a trend. Isn't that the goal of every team unless the have a competent vet QB?

You people have very low NFL QB standards.  Even as a rookie, Josh Allen is an average QB.

    You should pick another team....please.

  2. 5 years is an long career in the NFL. If we get a guy that plays well through a rookie contract that a huge win for a team. The upside of this pick in my opinion is that you get a player potentially on par with Gilmore for a lot less money. Also the fact that we picked him up late in the first the rookie wage for him is reasonable. There is only so much cap to go around and Gilmore was just too heavy of a cap hit.

  3. Fair enough. But let me ask you this. If the Bills played EJ all day and Cleveland played Manziel all day, which team would have ended up with the most points at the end of the game?

If you honestly think the Bills would have won then I get your point. I don't see how anyone could think that. I am confident that the Bills would have lost that game by more than 7.

I was at the Browns game last year...Johnny vs. our defense, I take our defense EVERY time. KW could have killed him on a sack last year.

  4. We dropped DirecTV and got the Amazon Fire Stick. Does the NFL have currently, or are they planning to have an app that let's us get Bills games through Roku, Fire Stick, etc?

I cannot ever see this happening. I can see it going to a more alacart pay per view type offering. In any event it will never be cheap for out of market to watch their teams...legally.

  5. "Our passing game has also been great since the switch. Not perfect, because of the O-line and a handful of Orton mistakes, but we have the best passing offense right now since Kelly."

You forgot Drew Bledsoe era as our passing was pretty good for a year then as well. Flutie also had a good year passing. He is no Kelly.

  6. When has EJ ever started to games with INT's in the 1st QTR?

EJ would not have taken the risks (at this point in his career) to make some of the later throws to bring the game to one score in the 4th. KO forced a 4th down completion. You take the bad and the good. Also, I would rather have an int in the 1st than in the 4th.

  7. Gilmore actually does have a track record of getting flagged on those coverages that Graham avoided the flag, so yeah, I can and will say we would have flat out lost, because those penalties would've been lethal. Not a fan of Marrone, but time will take care of that.

A track record is not proof for what or what not would have happened. You are making an inference or an educated guess. I am glad they are both on the team.

  8. Just my opinion, Gilmore would've gotten flagged when Graham avoided the flags on some tight coverage.

There is actually no way to know this and there is no way to say "flat out" we would have lost. . Gilmore is a good corner and we should be glad he is on the team. Do you still want Marrone and his cronies gone? Should we have played Orton yesterday? We won becuase we were the better team. Football is the ultimate team sport.

  9. I could care less what is said in an interview, I personally like the way he coaches and think he gets it. If the Bills keep changing coaches every two years they will never build a winner. I think DM and DW are to the point where they have the good players in key spots to fulfill their vision. The big question is the QB

"Great football coaches have the vision to see, the faith to believe, the courage to do... and 25 great players." - Marv Levy

  10. yeah i remember before 2009, when we fired avp from his oc job, there were many who thought "that would solve everything", and it was a step in the right direction for the season.

    it's over man... it's over.

it's not just like these guys got into a shoving match in an isolated incident.

    they've been fighting for weeks.

marrone has been imploring them not to.

    they continue to fight.

marrone runs them into the ground and blows up at them.

    hughes talks back at him.

we have a lame duck coach, an offensive coordinator who can't get the ball to our best weapons, a qb who can't read the field, and a division with tom brady.

    let's start talking about 2015.

we'll be playing the nfc east

cowboys and giants at home, eagles and skins on the road

    and the afc south

texans and colts at home, titans and jags on the road

finishing last in our division should also net us games against the browns and the raiders

assuming we have a new qb under center, and a good coach, that looks like a schedule that could legitimately yield a wild card.

WOW? Isn't this PRACTICE? I have never seen so many people write the season off before a game is played. It appears that many Bills fans may be under medicated. The Bills have one of the lowest penalized teams in the preseason and yet penalties are up by 44% over last year. I do not think the team or season is lost. I cannot imagine what would happen here is the Bills got shut out like the Niners in PRESEASON, EJ probably would have been burned at the stake.
