  1. So now that the middle of the line is stacked, and Mario's on one side. hes gonna be running for his life. God i cant wait to see the whites of his eyes,...lmao. we just need another power rusher on the other side and its gonna get interesting come Sundays.

  2. I have watched five or six complete games now. My take is that he is more of a system QB than a franchise QB. I see lots of great things in terms of vision and accuracy with just enough athleticism. However most of his throws are short and intermediate routes to TE's, RB's, and curl patterns to WR's. He has a wonderful offensive line, rarely gets any pressure, and an outstanding running game. His deep ball floats and his over the middle and sideline throws don't seem to have a lot of velocity. This past week against lowly Washington State he had several bad deep throws in the first half.

I'm not saying he won't be the top pick in the draft but he is looking less like John Elway and and more like Matt Leinart.

Myself personally id prefer Landry from Oklahoma, his passes are on a wire,.. amazed watching the ball leave his hands how quickly it gets to the receiver anywhere on the field.

  3. The backers club has purchased a block of tickets and putting together a tailgate party. Please message me for more information

yes , please send info,.. myself and some fellow bills fans were looking into going. we are from out near palm springs area. any inns on it would be awesome...

  4. I will definitely post when I have some solid info for everyone. It is too early, but I know they like Miller and I do know that number of other teams like him alot as well Might be the safest pick. Also, I told you last year that you guys give Kelly way to much credit relative to the information he has access to.

Thanks for the in-site.....always love reading your take and thoughts on matters involving the bills, good or bad.

  5. The entire league, including the owners and players, are filled with greed. I mean, it's getting to the point where I can't stand these people. I've been a Bills fan, and football fan in general, for my entire life. And the league as it stands is threatening to take football away from the average fan, even if they decide to take the field this year. Ticket prices continue to rise (not so much in Buffalo as other cities), parking lot fees are expensive, stadiums seats are being replaced with luxury boxes, beer and food is unaffordable, etc etc. Players aren't as loyal to their teams anymore because they want the best paycheck they can find. Cities can't keep their stadiums anymore, because they don't have enough luxury seating, jumbo trons, or tourist attractions. And the average tax payer is expected to foot a good percentage of the bill for a new stadium to support the wealthy that the league wants attending these games.

If they think fans care about the billionaires vs. millionaires battle going on right now, they can stuff it.

I'd be pissed if there wasn't football this year, but it won't ruin my year by any means. These guys need a reality check. "Growth" has it's limits. And the NFL can't forget the fans that made the league what it is today. The average, blue collar, hard working man.

This article has some great insight into the current state of the league...

I think we as fans should wait till the new cba is signed, wait until the first game of the regular season and then run a lock out of our own. no one attend the first game. Let then loose millions in one shot and see how it feels to want. just a thought. not that any of the fans out there would actually do it.

  6. IMHO ...

I don't think we pick up Luck if he comes out eary. I don't think the brain trust at OBD values underclassmen too highly.

I'm not saying he isn't the best QB out there, I don't follow college ball enough to tell the difference between the front runners, but I seem to remember Buddy saying at the beginning he looks for continued sucess over an entire college career and didn't like drafting underclassmen.

No... he said he didnt want to draft 1 year wonders, not underclassmen.... luck does have time in at stanford, and also has been healthy,...

  7. Maybe 3 or 4 years ago he was no good? Maybe he wasn't paired with the right coach until CG?

Do you gotta wonder why Atlanta traded Brett Favre? Why Tom Brady sat behind Bledsoe? (Not saying Fitz is going to equal either of those quarterbacks, either on the field or by texting pictures of his junk or by benefiting from a cheating coaching regime. Just that maybe he got better as he learned the game.)

    +1

  8. Unless your D can totally shut down the other team... the game is won on the O line. Rypien is the best example -- that Skins team kept Rypien cleaner than any QB in history. He could sit back there & throw darts - it also helped that he was extremely accurate with all that time to throw. Gibbs' success was tied to the Hogs, and a strong defense. Similar to Shanahan -- his offensive lines in Denver were so good (with their borderline illegal cut blocking technique) than any RB he put behind them put up big numbers. Shanahan's O-line has stunk up the joint this year... and McNabb is being exposed for the inaccurate passer he's always been.

+10 couldnt have said it better,.. I dont post much, usually everyone has already said what im thinking so ill just read...but i totally agreed with this post, hit that nail right on the head....

  9. TE puts together a successful drive, runs a bootleg right from the 5 yard line, and dives head-first for a TD in an effort to rally the players and be a leader. He is injured on the play, leading to questions about his durability and skill drop-off after the injury. This fans the flames of a quarterback controversy that continues for the rest of the season.

I figure I'm always wrong, so if I guess my worst-case scenario it can't possibly come true.

lmao. now thats a good first post..... thats funny right there.

  10. Here you go;

Media Can I talk to you about the offensive line's struggles this year?

    Random Player Sure.

Media What's the problem with the offensive line this year?

Random Player I know we've been struggling this year with injuries and having to grab inexperienced players from other teams. I really think if we can cut down on the injuries and get a set lineup on the line we'll be a lot better.

    Media Thank you.

    Or maybe you think it would be like this;

Media Can I talk to you about the offensive line's struggles this year?

    Random Player Sure.

Media Do you honestly think you should be playing in the NFL?

Random Player (Knockout punch and reporter falls to the ground)

    now thats funny right there....lol

  11. A good coach uses his personnel in a system they can succeed in. I think he knows what he's doing. Why stay with something that doesn't work if you know it doesn't work?

I just looked for something that might confirm that the Bills are going to a spread but I couldn't find anything. I do seem to remember hearing it from a reliable source I just don't know where.

i noticed on the main page they had an article on one of the o-line guys signed after the draft outta gt. he said that he thinks he has an advantage knowing gailys system coming into camp. not sure if he realy knows the offense yet but i really hope they r not installing the georgia tech offense. or maybe he is just talking about thier blocking schemes. what type of line play did they have running there?

  12. Usually undrafted prospects get contacted immediately and have their deals worked out by Mon./Tues. Since it is Saturday with Sunday as an off day this year will they do business on a Sunday or do you see the signings start tonight? Or perhaps they start on Monday as usual.

Either way there are always a couple interesting names tossed around out there.

Trust me no team is waiting till mon. as soon as the last pick is in they r on the phones. there w prob. be pick ups as soon as tonight and they will start trickling in tomarrow morning.

  13. t

    Really?

I think it's a lot closer to being the equivalent of a lower-income person taking what little discretionary cash they have and investing it in an up-and-coming business venture, realizing fully well that they'll remain cash-strapped in the short-term while putting their long-term financial future at the forefront of their thinking. The strategy being that you can always go out and work more hours/do more odd jobs to make more short-term cash, but you can't go back in time and make the right investment.

With that thought in mind, what would be so wrong with drafting a QB at #9, provided the team spends, say, 4 other picks on OTs? Even if you're only right 25% of the time, you still get a quality starting OT and a young, talented QB.

After all, there are more good OTs currently playing in the NFL that were drafted after round 1 than there are QBs (I don't need to re-hash the #s for you, as we've had that discussion before).

    Just my 1 cent.

I so agree with this. i've been seeing plenty of talent on the lines in the sec. and third rounds that could still play right away. if the talent is gone by the time we pick and you have to take a guy with upside, id wait till a later round. pick a guy that can give you a instant boost at a position. excited! cant wait till thurs.

  14. You never know, a lot of teams go immediately in the first round as they already know who they want.

Anyway, it used to be this. Not sure if they changed that this year as well though.

    • Round 1 - 10 minutes

    • Round 2 - 7 minutes

    • Round 3 - 5 minutes

    • Round 4 - 5 minutes

    • Round 5 - 5 minutes

    • Round 6 - 5 minutes

    • Round 7 - 5 minutes

This is the same as last year and from what i've heard and read the times will remain the same. the only thing different is that the rounds will be split up differntly over thurs-sat..

  15. Actually, attending the draft is Free - seriously. But you'd have to find out when tickets become available and then be in line to get them. That's why every year you see the Jets-loser fans at the draft. They're all out of work and can sit on line all day long. Now that the JETs FO is better, it's not as fun as when they used to use their #1 choice on tight ends!! But because tickets are free, we will always see the majority of attendees are Jets/Giants fans & distantly followed by Eagle & Patriot fans (they are closer to NYC than most).

Lol now thats funny! never thought about why so many jets fans were there? makes perfect sense now....
