  1. guys, while not downplaying the severity of his injury, i'm pretty sure fractures are less serious/career ending than blown ligaments/knees. Junior Seau's arm looked like that a couple years ago and he played again the next year. If it is a fracture, and no veins were disrupted (serious blood loss etc) I wouldnt be surprised to see him play again next year.

Correct me if im wrong, but arent bone breaks more easily treated than blown knees?

  2. There are a lot of bad, bad teams out there this year.

Here are other teams I wouldnt want to be a fan of:

Cleveland: mirror image to buffalo; cant find a qb; season after season of disappointment (4-12)?

Tampa Bay: Rebuilding year but they seem really bad and havent been able to find a qb (3-13)?

    Kansas City: They stink (3-13)

Oakland: Easily the last team i would want to be a fan of. JR is a bust (4-12)

Washington: same situation as buff: head coach and qb gone at years end (6-10)

Detroit: maybe they win 4 games this year?

St. Louis: i think theyve already been shut out twice (2-14)

    Honorable Mentions: Tennessee, Miami, Carolina

I think the bills will be worse this year than they have been in a long time, yet there are still 6 teams worse than us!

My guess is we'll probably end up picking at number 7

  3. After thinking about it the last couple of days, I think these are the reasons Trent is not and will never be a franchise qb:

    Below average presence in pocket

Doesnt manipulate defense w pump fakes, they manipulate him/ easy to read for cbs to jump routs

Doesnt know how to throw the ball where only his WR can get it, if a Wr is covered he doesnt throw to him

Cannot extend the play and buy time

Unfortunately, all of these things cannot really be taught. His feel for the game does not seem to be where it needs to be.

I'm pretty sure that's a recipe for failure :flirt:

  4. I'm excited that the weather is supposed to be iffy (increasing wind as the game goes on and a little rainy) but I really want to see Trent put out a solid outing in adverse weather conditions. Hopefully the weather magnifies both teams running game and we control the ball.

Are Leo and McGee going to play? I hope so

  5. I don't think I've ever gone into a game with such low expectations. After watching the steelers game last night, it was so apparent why big ben is so good; he just prolongs the play until his wide receivers finally come open, something I dont think trent (like bledsoe) does very well.

On a positive note, one thing I remembered about trent from last year was that even when he played well, he was a much better fourth quarter quarterback than he was in the first. Most of the preseason games he only played a couple series, (except the pitts game) here's to hoping he just needed more time to "get into the game."

If I was a betting man, I'd expect trent to be sacked 5 times, throw three picks, and fail to get more than 10 points on the board.

    Sad Prediction: 41-7 Pats

PS.. why does it say "on probation" below my avatar? I dont remember doing anything probation worthy...

  6. I just got home form a long day of work and I want to know a few things about the game.

1- How did Levitre and Hangartner look?

    2- Did Butler play?

3- How did Bell and Walker play?

4- How did Shawn Nelson play and did he see time against the first, second, or third stringers?

On the defensive side of the ball.

1- Did Mckelvin look more comfortable?

2- How did nic harris and Ellison play?

3- How did the defensive ends look in pass rush?

I watched the game on NFL Network tonight and here is what my opinion is:

    1. I watched Levitre and Wood closely and I was impressed by them both. Levitre had a pancake or two, though I didnt pay much attention Hangartner.

    2. Yes Butler did play, i didnt notice anything special/bad

    3. Walker looked solid, I thought Bell looked good/average, I remember one time he looked pretty out of position

    4. Nelson didnt play until the second half but scored a TD and looked good aggainst 3rd stringers.

McKelvin looked great, nice pick which he judged beautifully and caught at its highest point.

    2. I was impressed by Nic Harris and Ellis, I didnt notice Ellison at all. Nic Harris had one blown coverage but made a key deflection in the redzone. Ellis had a sack and seemed to generate good pressure with Bryant.

  7. Not to be pessimistic, but what do you think the chances are of trent getting injured in week 1? We have an o-line that will still be figuring itself out, and Seymour, Wilfork, and company are gunna be bringing the heat. The one thing that should help the O-line, however, is TO. Theyll be less willing to blitz and if Evans or TO are ever singled up all Trent has to do is throw it up.

  8. After seeing flashes of what Leodis is capable of at the end of last year, anyone think he could be our number 1 corner by years end?

Also, i wonder if youboty was scratching the surface of his potential at the beginning of last year, or if can improve into a starting corner in the future.

If reggie corner shows promise in camp and mcgee stays healthy, does Florence possibly get cut? I feel like were not going to be able to with how many times the bills will be facing 4/5 receiver sets.

    Just thinking out loud..

  9. Hopefully when he's healthy hell be make more plays. Is it just me or does he seem "little" out there. Not very tall, not very strong, and without great ballhawk skills. I'm being a little pessimitic, but Im ready for Donte to step forward this year and make some game changing plays.

  10. With Byrd playing "center field," I think the strong safety's main priority will be stopping the run. Therefore, if Whitner is not as good a tackler/ run stopper, could he possibly end up not starting this year because of Scott? Whitner just doesnt seem to fit at either S position and I remember several times last year when Scott played really stout against the run. Thoughts? What a shame it would be if our number 8 overall pick didnt even start....

  11. Something Im really excited to see is how Nelson can stretch the middle of the field. I will love to see Evans run an out, Owens right short over the middle, and Nelson have a linebacker try to come him going deep over the middle. I like what the FO has done to help Trent n co against the 3-4, picked up a potentially monster WR in Owens that removes 8 in the box for Lynch and constantly commands double teams, and added a TE that will really stretch the field and open up the middle. nelson and Owens also have the ability to go up and get balls if Trent is in trouble.
