Whatever happened to Beerball? Did he leave angry or just fade away due to fatigue? He took away some penalty points so I am forever grateful. At times he was irascible but overall he was a good guy. Tell him to come back and join the club again.

I'd like to know also. What did happen to Beerball ? Hope he is OK,  Great guy.  I don't get here much since I got Multiple System Atrophy. Sucks. Killing me slowly

  2. 2 strikeouts on QB's for Whaley. Enough of this BS, can his a$$. Giving up a 1st round draft choice for a player when You don't have that franchise QB in place should be a fire-able offence.

It really isn't his fault if he isn't seeing enough targets each game. So meanwhile the team has a great WR that nobody can get the ball to enough, and are still in desperate need of that franchise QB.

  3. Where was this effort all season ??? Oh they're motivated now..???? Why were they not motivated to skate like this ALL SEASON !!!! What a disfuntional phony organization starting with Pegula on down. This is much worse than tanking which I believe is just crazy talk fueled by pundits to increase their own ratings. No this is just a scam by Murray on all of us that paid good money to watch this Micky Mouse of an organization. Not one more dollar for these phonies.

  4. I'll make a tomato salad, a couple of deserts and potato salad . Also plates, plastic utensils, napkins, a bag or 2 of ice. If its still in the shed, I have a big bag of charcoal & fluid unless one of the kids took it for one of shindigs. I'll bring my big cooler but ask if one of you could get it out of the trunk since I can't do that physically anymore. Will bring 5-6 chairs and if the folding table is still here; that also.

  5. Once again Hammers Lot is very proud to host the 15th TBDAHOT.

Parking Choices are "Prime" party area or "General" parking area.

    Prime spots are limited.

    Parking starts @ 6:45am

    Prime held till 7: 45am.

    General till 8:30.

Parking List closes on September 12 2014.

To make parking easier YOU MUST have a easy (large) sign with TBD in your windshield when you pullin.

    One Prime spot please

  6. With the parking lot changes this year, many people are moving their tailgates to different locations. If you'd like other TBD members to find you, please post your location.

Jack are we going to have a TBD tailgate party at Hammers Lot like past years ?

  7. OK So here we go.

The TBD block has 106 tickets in section 338 which is Bills side, Jumbotron end, $68 each plus whatever fees Ticketmaster throws on. Sales will probably start Monday but the block was reserved before any individual tickets were sold.

Here's the list I have for who has requested tickets and how many. There is a bit of cushion in the block currently but please do not buy more than you said you wanted (at least until everyone has had a chance to buy what they asked for).

    Me 2

    jboyst62 3

    plenzmd 4

    thebug 8

    AiO 3

    Beerball 3

    SDS 3

    Gugny 2

    Rockpile 13

    HamiltonBILLSFan 6

    GG 10

    RockinOn 4

    Heitz 8

    Taro T 5

    cr02pica 2

That adds up to 90 tickets. So there are 16 extras in the block that will be made available once those on this list buy theirs.

I'll hopefully get the other details (password, purchase link etc) today or tomorrow.

Jay, I know IM late to the dance but I'd like 2 if possible. Had to give up our club seats a few years back because we were taking care of my 91 year young Mom until this year

  8. If you didn't cry at Kelly's HOF speech something is wrong with you.

I was there & did...just an incredibly sad day with the passing of Ralph Wilson and the news that Jim Kelly is fighting an uphill battle against the cancer we all thought was eradicated on the first go-around

  9. Favre is junk and has zero business on any such list. All-time TD pass leader - true - and the all-time INTERCEPTION thrower too. He doesn't even remotely compare.

Peyton's problem is that he has generally not been good in the playoffs - and specifically he was carried by his team to his one Super Bowl win. Marino had little playoff success, but his teams weren't that good.

I think the OP was pretty close - but I'd put Sammy Baugh up there for:

    Johnny Unitas

    Joe Montana

    Sammy Baugh

    Otto Graham

    Tom Brady

John Elway/Dan Marino both just miss.

Good list. there were so many very good quarterbacks thru the years. IM somewhat older than most posters so I remember watching very good QB's like Unitas: http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.aspx?PlayerId=219

    and Sonny Jergensen: http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.aspx?PlayerId=111

    and: Joe Namath: http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.aspx?PlayerId=161

    and YA Tittle : http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.aspx?PlayerId=214

They were all good and trying to say which one is best is akin to asking a group of kids to agree on what flavor of ice cream is best. Now these are quarterbacks from the modern era enshrined in the Pro Football HOF

Never saw Otto Graham but remember my late father and uncles debating, much like here on who the best QB of all time was. My best guess is that this one discussion happened in 1962 when I was 13 at my Grandmother's restaurant in Ridgeway, NY. Remembering this I called my one remaining uncle, now 80 if had any recollection of that somewhat heated debate (that's how I remember it as) on who was the best QB. Well my uncle,( who also played for UB in the early 50's before going to Korea) told me that that was a frequent discussion with my father, uncles and other local customers to frequent my grandmother's restaurant. He told me that the best QB he had ever seen up to that point when these discussions happened so many years ago was Otto Graham : http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.aspx?PlayerId=77&tab=Championship He mentioned other QB's like Sammy Baugh and Sid Luckman but said the only time they saw them was at the movies. For the young people here the movie theaters would show shorts on the news and sports highlites. TV was still years away on any grand scale.
