  1. +1. Obviously

And every Off. lineman is one play from retirement. "You can't always get what you want.... but if you try real hard..... you may just get what you need" I think the personnel dept. has almost as much knowledge as Stadium Wall in regards to the talent level of the OL.

Every player in the NFL is one play away from retirement. That has nothing to do with what we are talking about. I like the Incognito signing, but we need to add another guy who actually played in the league last year and doesn't have a history of being a huge head case.

Nucci meant you saying "I don't know what to say" is clearly wrong, since you have plenty to say on this matter.

I don't need to save face on this board. But maybe you should consider going a bit easy on the caffeine, you seem extra moody lately.

Not moody at all. I understand things can easily get taken out of context on a message board so I won't worry about that. You though seem to want to jump on anyone that says even the slightest thing that questions the Bills direction. It is kind of pathetic. If the Bills sign Claybo, Evans from the saints if he is released, or trade for Evan Mathis, then as far as I am concerned we are good to go. Clay would be a nice addition but I don't need them to do that if they fix the line. If they don't get another quality lineman before the draft I will see it as a major mistake by the Bills. For some reason me saying that makes you feel the need to attack my position and person. So sorry for spelling Incognito with an a. I must be an idiot and you should try to insult me over it. You need to grow up buddy.

  3. Yea as I said I don't think they are done and I don't think that is what they are counting on. Apparently you don't know what if means. Keep on being a dick though, it's what you are best at.

I am not going to praise the Bills for effort, sorry. All I basically said is we need to add a sure fire starter to the offensive line before the draft and if we don't I think it is a failure. If you can't handle that maybe you should hand your computer over to your mommy until you grow up.

  4.

You're the only one assuming that's what the front office is counting on. Other people are fairly certain they did their due diligence on the guy. And if that's the only arrow you have in your RI quiver, then you should think about making some new arrows.

  5.

Why doesn't RI count? Besides for your inability to spell the man's name that is. Is he not an offensive lineman with an impressive resume at a position of need?

Nah... you're right. He doesn't count.

Wow. Can anyone state any opinion about the Bills that questions what they are doing even in the slightest without you throwing a hissy fit and insulting other posters?

  6.

So... you're basing your entire thesis on what you presume is going on behind the scenes. There's no proof the Bills aren't trying to improve the OL while simultaneously going after Harvin and Clay. In fact, there's ample proof to the contrary.

You're making yourself crazy by only seeing what you want to see. The reality is the Bills have made strides to improve the OL, QB, TE and RB positions -- all of which were huge areas of need.

Good job, good effort! I really don't care how hard they try, get the freaking job done. I don't think they are done, but if they don't add at least one sure fire starter to the offensive line (Incagnito doesn't count), then no matter who else they sign, this years free agency is likely a failure.

  7. Second this year, 1st and 3rd in 2016 and maybe another late pick somewhere. We could win the Super Bowl this year! What is going on in New Orleans is actually a pretty sad situation. Tom Benson's gold digging wife seems to be in control of his estate while his mind is deteriorating. She cut his kids off and maybe she wants to cut salary. If Brees is available we have to take a shot. Overpay, I don't care. Keep this roster in tact and add Brees and I think we would be favorites to win it all.

  8. Like

Because despite his age he is one of the best in the game and we are trying to make the playoffs for the first time in 16 freaking years!

Its NFL free agency....catch the inexplicable fever. This draft by the way is pretty deep in good quality interior lineman....

Our line was awful last season and though I liked the Incagnito signing, he is still a bit of a question mark. If you get Mathis and Incagnito plays like he did before his suspension, we will have the dominant line we are looking for. Then in the draft you can grab the best available player, whether it be OG, OT, TE, DL, WR, or even QB.

  9. Fair point. But there's also Glenn, Woods, Kiko, Aaron Williams, Gilmore, Bradham. The bulk of the talent on this team is put in place by Nix, not Whaley.

Having said that, he wasn't perfect. The Fitz extension (although from that tapped phone call, it seems as though he wasn't the only one behind it), and passing on Russell WIlson were terrible moves. But to be fair, every team passed on Wilson at least twice. Some more than that.

Whaley is light years ahead of Nix.

  10. Buddy Nix gets such a bad rap here and a lot of it is unfair. He added quite a bit of talent to this roster. In fact, the two best players on the team (Dareus, Mario) are Nix acquisitions.

Dareus was the 3rd overall pick in maybe the greatest draft of all time. Mario had to be given the biggest contract of any defensive player ever when he was signed. Buddy shouldn't get much credit for that.

  11. One draft. With low overall talent.

He took a speed back who can't be a workhorse 9th overall with Lynch and Jackson on the roster. He traded up for Terrell Troupe and everyone scratched their heads. Big surprise he busted. He ignored the QB position and let a couple good QB drafts pass him bye. Then he painted himself into a corner and over reached badly on Manuel in a terrible QB draft. He traded up for a niche WR who was more of a track athlete than a football player, with Russell Wilson and several quality WR's on the board. Sorry Russ, but he was terrible.

  12. In two years, everyone from the 2013 draft could be gone. Does that mean Whaley sucks?

It would certainly be considered in evaluating him. Are GM's not supposed to be judged on their drafts? Pretty asinine if that is what you think. Buddy was a terrible GM.
