I want an offensive lineman, but not Dillard. The PAC 12 is weak at the OL and DL positions. My fear is that he will crumble when going up against pros, like the guy who had the problems with Incog. The Bills could probably trade down (hopefully into 2020) and find a high quality blocker late in round 1.

That said, I doubt if they go in this direction, although it makes 100% sense to get better protection for Allen, who might be the face of this franchise for a decade or more. Yeah, I am thinking they will grab the 3rd, 4th, or even 5th DL selected.

And laugh if you will, but Greedy Williams (probably after a trade down) would not shock me. Not one bit.

Bill how about one of the Iowa tight ends to help in Allen's development??

    Hey man enjoy the draft!!!

Maybe the Jets take another safety at #3  hahahahahahahahahahaha!

John is a great guy and I think he was going to kick "Combo's" ass. :D

I actually went with him to other pages to see his work. He used to torture vegetarians. He's a superstar! :)

I think he hated vegetarians because his mother used to cane him and pour ice water on him if he didnt eat his brussel sprouts when he was 4 years old.

Hog boy was good but we know who the best was. ☺

  3. A Jets fan I work was sure that the Quinn hiring was set in gold!

    (a) The Putrids over the Bills, The Bills sweeps over the NYETS, and vise versa for a short time

    Baltimore over the BunGals

    Baltimore over the Brownies

(b)many hate him already... your point other than being a troll?

So.........Are you telling me that one team can actually sweep another team twice in one year. And giving links to prove it? Really?

BTW, I think the Jets made a terrible hire in Bowles plus I am not trolling when I say you will hate Rex by November. You will see. Marrone will end up looking like Lombardi compared to this buffoon.

Hahaha this will be great sweeping the Jets twice a year.

Still waiting to hear how you can sweep a team twice a year. Please do explain.

  4. Hello Bills fans. Take this from a 50 year NFL fan who has watched Rex Ryan closely during his tenure as HC of the NYJ.
They say he is a defensive guru but he is a fraud. It is the biggestr fallacy in the NFL.

Remember how Pittsburgh cleaned his clock in the playoffs 3 years ago?

With his great defense I think they were down 24-0 at the half.

They never fail to give up a score to lose a tight game and never get critical 3rd down stops to get off the field
Initially his schemes on defense worked fairly well but the league caught up with him by 2011.
He is a terrible in game coach frequently making time management errors, making poor 1/2 time adjustments and he is terrible talent evaluator.
His teams are always ill prepared and are penalized for 12 men on the field frequently.

The good coaches in the league have no fear of his offensive game plans at all.

I wont go into how he has embarrassed the franchise with his Youtube vid, Mark Sanchez / wife tatoo plus his dumb comments and behavior.
He is a loud mouth who talks big but never backs up his boasts. Just look at what your Bills did to him this year.
His reputation as a defensive guru is baloney created by the NY media who wanted him to stay because he is always quote worthy, giving them back page stuff to print and is friendly to them.
He said he didn't come to NY to kiss Bill Belichicks rings and said he was going to visit the White House after winning the SB with the NYJ.
Well he may not have kissed Bills rings but he didn't win any rings and the only way this Bozo is going to the White House is like you and I, as a tourist.
I am not trolling when I say Buffalo fans deserve a good team. They are one of the most loyal fan bases in the league. Unfortunately Ryan is not the guy to make it happen.

  6. Has signed 2 year deal with NY Jets.

    hot_sign.jpgJets | Sign Chris Johnson

    Wed, 16 Apr 2014 12:29:09 -0700

The New York Jets signed RB Chris Johnson (Titans) to a two-year deal Wednesday, April 16. Financial terms were not disclosed.

FANTASY TIP: It is fair to consider Johnson a fantasy football RB3 or flex option at this point. Chris Ivory is likely to be used in short-yardage and third-down situations and Bilal Powell could see time as the goal-line back. There is a lot going on in the back field and all three should be downgraded.

  7. 1) Kyle Williams impressed the hell out of me. Coming into this game, I viewed him as a player who was all but finished. Want to talk about effort? The man gave everything he had in this football game.

    2) Speaking of "Williams," Aaron Williams played very well imo in spite of that one incredibly stupid out of bounds hit.

    3) There are just so many posters on this great site who do more work on the draft than I do. That said, Robert Woods was my favorite wide receiver in this draft. This kid is going to be great. He loves playing football and is SMART. I am thrilled by his performance today. Aside from his 68 yards receiving, he made no mistakes on special teams. We are going to have fun watching this kid.

    4) Mario Williams earned his money today. He played at a superstar level, and is my favorite NFL player due to what he does off of the football field. He donates huge dollars to the Houston Police Department. That's enough for me.

    5) I must say, I am furious about the play calling at the end of the second quarter. They RAN the football in a hurry up, and gave the Panthers the football with 2:07 left. This was idiotic. There is NO FREAKING WAY they should have afforded them an extra time out (the deuce). This cost us points, and almost the game. So who do we blame? The OC or Marrone? Either way, this was totally unacceptable.

    6)Wake up to find out

that you are the eyes of the world.

    The heart has its beaches,

its homeland and thoughts of its own.

Wake now discover that YOU are the song,

    that the morning brings.

    The heart has its seasons,

its evenings and songs, of its own

    7) OK, I was seriously pissed off when the Bills attempted a 55 yard field goal. Especially after the miss from 42. What do I know lol? And not for nothing, the last one he made was insane. Watching it, I thought it was 8 or 10 yards short.

    8) Hey, I never complain about announcers, nor much else about telecasts. But today, I think that the camera man was on drugs. He was missing key shots. Am I the only one who noticed this?

    9) EJ? His numbers were very good, and his potential is beyond limit. That said, count me as one who believes that he will need to run it himself to achieve his full potential, which imo is good enough to win a superbowl.

    10) The OL played well today. Imo, the player who did the best work on this unit was Urbik. He looks to be in great physical shape, and he kicked some ass in this football game. Again, the camera work was bad; I welcome opinions on this comment.

    11) Spiller did his job today. He gave us long gains, key first downs and didn't cough up the football.

    12) Bills Fans are the best fans of any team in any sport.

    13) Kiko is going to be a flat out star.

    14) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Bill old buddy, old pal.

14 items and no love for DC extraordinaire Mike Pettine???

I am at once flabbergasted befuddled befogged discombobulated and plastered by this omission.

Best of luck this week. The Bills have a new and rising star.

  8. I would like to actually see Maybin play a game or two...

If his contract permits maybe he should play summer ball in Venezuela next year.

On a more serious note, FWIW, I am predicting a Bills win this week. KC aint all that and Buffalo is gonna kickem in the teeth.

  9. The only problem is, Gholston is proving that he is a serviceable player on a top 5 defense in the league. If he were on our team, he'd probably start.

Also, if the Gholston situation says anything, perhaps there still is hope?

I know the words Gholston and seviceable player are currently being used in the same sentence by some people right now but trust me when I say he is a total bust. I have watched every second of playing time this waste has gotten since he was drafted. He has no pro game at all. He has an ineffective bull rush and nothing else. When that doesnt work he just quits. I say he is a bigger bust than Maybin based on being picked 6th vs 11th. You say he might start for the Bills and that might be true, but believe me he would still stink.

Yes clearly that is what maybin is going to do - retire tomorrow and forfeit tons of money and open a gym.

Yeah thats right, a gym, pictures of them by the door all muscled up, no wait, what?, you actually thought i was seriously ..............oh never mind now you've confused me.

  10. Im convinced both these guys should give up the charade of being pro football players and go open a Ballys Fitness Center somewhere.

BTW, congrats on finding out what a terrific QB Fitz is.

I am convinced he is the real deal.

One of my work buddies, an avid Bills fan, is not convinced Fitz is the answer at QB.

He is hoping Bills take Mallet.

My comment to him is the my NYJ would still be 5-1 or maybe 6-0 if they had Fitz.

Looks to me like you had a franchise QB already on the roster and Chan was smart enough to see it and dump Edwards.

This should free the Bills to pursue a top defensive pick in next years draft.

If Chan can build a defense Buff will be competetive much sooner than most people think.

I am an old AFL fan and actually prefer when the Bills, Raiders and Jets play well. (as long as NYJ win our matchups)

    Best of luck going foward.

  11. Mouse Davis? Kelly's successful because of the run and shoot? :w00t:

Considering you base your theory that young QBs who take a beating become broken, shell-shocked failures, I find it interesting that you would point to an offensive scheme that Kelly got creamed in the USFL as a reason for his success.

Kelly liked the Run and Shoot because it let him throw the ball 50 times a game. But it did almost nothing to protect him or develop him in the way you decribe below with Flacco and Ryan.

So what is your point again?

Manning's genetic awesomeness? Yeah, you are familiar with the Mannings, right? So let's say Manning doesn't hook up with Tom Moore. Who fades into oblivion, Moore or Manning? Does Moore turn Andre Ware, David Klingler, or Heath Shuler into the best QB in a generation? Does Manning turn into Trent Dilfer playing for some other sub-standard OC?

And speaking of Manning genetic awesomeness, what about Eli, who helped the Giants win the Super Bowl. Who's his offensive coordinator?

If Gilbride is so great, how come he didn't develop Rob Johnson like he did Manning?

The fact is that Moore and Gilbride are benefiting from the work that Archie Manning did in making his sons NFL-ready straight out of college.

Not sure what you're saying here. If you're claiming that good coaching = minimizing pass attempts, well Flacco, Ryan, and Edwards all averaged around 26 pass attempt per game last season.

Did the Bills exhibit "smart, stable coaching" by limiting Edwards to the same number of pass attempts that the enlightened coaching staffs of the Ravens and Falcons limited their rookie QBs to?

Of course, those staffs got more productivity out of their passing game because they have better QBs.

The Jets didn't trade for Edwards because they believe he'll be a good downfield blocker. They'll increase Sanchez's role as the season progresses.

I never claimed I was smarter than anybody, I'm just expressing my observations and trying to back them up with examples.

I'm still waiting for your examples, by the way, of young QBs with franchise potential being broken by a poor coaching staff.

We can continue to keep the debate one-sided though, me defending my points, until you come up with your list.

Well let's see. Say the Colts drafted Ryan Leaf instead of Peyton Manning. Does Tom Moore coach him to the greatness that Manning has achieved?

Let's say that the Houston Gamblers signed Todd Blackledge instead of Jim Kelly. Does Mouse Davis turn him into a HOF QB?

What if Kelly Stouffer was drafted by Don Shula instead of Marino. Does he break the NFL TD record?

How about Chuck Long playing for Dan Reeves. Does Denver still go to all those Super Bowls?

I stand by my point. No coach in the league could turn guys like Akili Smith, Danny Wufferel, Heath Shuler, David Klingler, or Jamal Russell into NFL starters.

Finally, how do you explain Matt Leinart? A first round pick who is struggling to hold the backup QB position. Meanwhile, Kurt Warner is lighting up the scoreboard. It the coaching staff enabling Warner, while at the same time it's breaking Leinart?

Or is it a case that Warner has what it takes to play in the NFL and Leinart doesn't? And maybe Arizona should have understood that Leinart lacked the committment and leadership needed to play in the NFL, and avoided him in the draft.

    Phoooooohweee. That was long.

BTW you forgot Tim Couch and Browning Nagle.

  12. Trent Edwards is the problem? Are you kidding me? Trent Edwards is the problem? The problem has been around LOOONNNGGGGGGG before Trent Edwards got here. So think of all the cute little nicknames you can instead of spending time learning anything logically. While you're at it, delete your account because stupidity is like a virus and this place needs to be quarantined. Our children are already looking at a future in bad enough shape, no need for more stupidity added to it.

    Hope this helps!

    Helps??

You made the stupidest post ever.

And BTW Trent Edwards is horrible.

You sir should not be telling anyone to delete their acct.

  13. Derek Anderson 2-for-17?

That's pretty sweet pass defense, seemed like a winnable game for Buffalo.

I dont know whats worse the fish holding the ball for 46 minutes against Colts and losing or Bills keeping Anderson to 2 completions and losing.
