  1. The offensive strategy this year is ridiculous. I can't believe that they only let JP throw 13 times the entire game. The bills have a few decent recievers and an overall young team. Jauron has still been trying to simply win games by running the ball. The running game just isn't good enough to carry this team. If the bills want to win they are going to have to find a better balance than 3 run plays for every 1 pass play. The bills are depressing!

  2. Losman fumbled the snap.  0:)

....then mcgahee revovers and runs for the endzone. but is takled just short, gets injured and the Atrain becomes the starter for the bills who go on to win 12 games and go to the superbowl. they lose of course. <_<

  3. VERY THIN ON TALENT

OK, I'll grant you the Bills certainly do njot Super Bowl champion talent but come on!  The QB is a major uestion mark, but the Bills have a strong group of receivers, a good RB, if they can get healthy, solid TE's, the defense look very strong, and the Bills special teams are great!

On paper the Bills top 4 picks were as good as anyone in the draft.  In reality the Bills may have drafted 4 of the best 50 or 60 players in the draft.  According to some draft rankings the Bills did just that!

With some good coaching and a break or two, the Bills could be a playoff contender.  With all due respect, the career benchwarmer has no idea what he is talking about!

Well said. I think are draft was very good. I think we have made huge strides in improving the team this offseason and i am actually excited about our chances and am genuinly hopeing for a playoff berth this season not in three more. Sure its a building year but that means we are improving. you cant honestly say we will do worse than last year.

  4. Stop that....Moulds was a pretty good player.....Unfortunatley he had some lousy QBs throwing to him over his career....

Advantages that Reed had in his career:

      1)  One single QB most of his career and a HoF at that.

      2)  Had blazing and/or good WRs complementing on the other side in Beebe,

            Lofton etc....

      3)  Had a HoF caliber RB who  also could catch the ball off the backfield.

      4)  Was part of a SB bound team.

      5)  Played majority of snaps in a single offense

Disadvantages that Moulds has through his career

      1)  Every year or so there was a change in Offensive philosophy

      2)  Not a consistent WR to complement the other side...For a year he had

Peerless Price and another year he had Lee Evans...the rest ?

      3)  Average QBs....The only good years where when he had Flutie threw to him

and the year Drew had a career year.

      4)  RBs also have been average here for most of his career...

Again, I was mad at Moulds last year for looking out for himself rather than the team and help/support the inexperience QB like how Hines Ward/Bettis did for Big Ben 2 years ago....And he was rightly shipped off, as his mind was not in to playing for the Bills again.....But he was a pretty good player.....

Agree completely. Although i hope that your not trying to say that Moulds was as good as Reed because he is a tier below.

  5. Craig Nall has the big arm you need to hit those deep throws in the Fairchild offense.  Also, Nall's QB rating is 139.4, while Losman's is just 63.5.  Bear in mind a lot of Nall's success came against a very good Chicago defense in a game late in the year.  I'm not sure whether the game was at Chicago or Green Bay, but either way it was someplace cold and windy.  Of the three players, Nall clearly has the most upside--if he can continue to play at the level he's achieved in his limited playing time.  He's also the only QB of the three selected by the current regime.  But if Nall isn't what the coaches were hoping for, Holcomb is a very solid plan B.

I agree entirely. Ive got Nall at 75 percent. Losman at 18 and Holcomb at 7 percent. Forget the other two.... Wait a minute i feel bad for the two losers i will give them each half a persenct and drop Nall to 74 percent.

  6. I disagree.  Considering age, he is worth more than Moulds.  It won't get done for a low pick.  Lelie is a talented player who can step right in and would tandem with Evans to form a very nice WR set.  Adding him to the field in 2006 would be worth a 3rd-4th round pick in 2007.

I believe that a third OR fourth rounder will do it. You are overpaying.

  7. Texans cut two 28 year old large defensive tackles in Junior Ioane and Jerry DeLoach...they may be camp fodder but we still need help at the "1" tackle position...worth the vet min or even a two year contract with a small bonus to put them in the field...particularly DeLoach...

    Texan Cuts

    DeLoach from Scouts Inc.

    Comment:

DeLoach doesn't make many big plays, but he does an excellent job of holding his ground at the point of attack and keeping blockers off the linebackers. Has decent instincts, shows the ability to locate the ball carrier and rarely gets caught out of position. Plays under control in space and has enough athletic ability to make plays on the move. Plays with a non-stop motor and will make some plays with second effort. Lacks the explosive first step to shoot the inside gap and won't make many plays in the backfield. Isn't fast enough to consistently turn the corner as an end and doesn't show great closing speed to the quarterback. He doesn't have great range and is better in a short area fist fight.

Scouts inc doesnt exactly make me want to pick up this guy. According to their description he is mediocre at best.

im fine with who we have. As long as we have a few decent guys (which i think we do) we should move on to the next problem area.....The OLine!

  8. They had to pull JP if they wanted to have a chance last season. Keeping him in would have been declaring the rest of the year mere practice for JP. Giving up half way through the season kills the moral of the team. Then again going 5 and 11 also kills the moral....
