  1. So for the first time in a long time I had to be in the car during a bills game. I tried tuning in to WGR using tunein radio (which I had used before) and got a message saying it was blocked due to nfl regulations?

Sorry if I am behind the times on this, but what gives? And if I can't use WGR, does anyone have other legal alternatives? I'm going to be driving in the Hudson valley albany to nyc a lot of Sundays, and don't want to miss the games (bad enough I won't be watching). I don't see any stations in the area listed on the bills radio network, so....

    Thanks!

  2. As a referee who does high school, college, and USSF games, I want to mention the clock issue. I think if you talk to the majority of referees, we do not like the count-down clock in the game (which is how High School and College works).

The issue is the end of the game can get REALLY ugly. Players get absolutely worked up as time goes down. When do you stop the clock as time gets near the end? Every foul? Every time there is a delay? How do you determine what is a delay vs. just normal time it takes to set up after a foul?

Also, just fyi, goal line technology is in use at this World Cup, and awarded a goal in France-Italy that was not given by the referees on the field.

  3. I'll play

Bolds I would keep. Others I don't really care much about, though obviously we can't cut all of them

  4. I am going on the assumption that Luck does not come out or goes #1 to Carolina. Half of this board is going to go nuts no matter who we take as there is absolutely nobody other than Luck that will satisfy everyone.

I would be happy with trading back if possible and taking either Newton or Locker/Mallett around the 10th pick or so. Use the rest of our picks (2nd round plus whatever we pick up) on DL/LBs. If we can't trade down, then I don't know, I personally like Newton, but that's just me.

Don't forget, a lot will also depend on what (if anything) we do in free agency.

  5. Does anyone know what the FA market looks like next year (barring a lock-out) for OLB and WR? Those are two positions that I think could be upgraded (again depending on talent available) through free agency. Give Evans a serious #2 and find someone to replace Kelsay/Torbor. After that, I think we draft QB/RT/BPA. With two high picks we should get our "franchise" QB and a solid RT. Based on everything written Bell should be ok given time. Levitre/Hang/Wood are ok though moving Wood to center and having Urbik/someone new replace him would also work.

  6. Wait, lots of people yesterday was pissed we didn't go with need. Today we do, and people are pissed it isn't the person they want. Since when do any of you freaking work in the NFL, spend hours breaking down tape, and do this as a career! I for one think that the people whose lives and careers are based on this might have a little better idea of what people are worth than the beer swilling crew on here.
