  1. I think the morning is the primetime in the radio industry.  It is definitely a demotion...

It will be the same show as the morning. No music. Plus, morning drive and afternoon drive have very similar audience sizes.

  2. I was hoping that someone could help me out. I am looking for an MP3 of or link to Marv Levy's HOF induction speech of Jim Kelly. I have a transcript, but I really need the audio. Thank you for your help.

  3. It is definitely violent. Very similar to GTA. I believe there is copius swearing, but I'm desensitized to that F'n Sht so I'm not sure.

The game seems to be moving quick. I've played twice and have finished a good portion of it. I need to start extorting more businesses.

  4. Most of my video gaming experience is limited to Madden. However I had to see what the Godfather game was all about. Awesome. The scenery is amazing. The gameplay is fun. They've really connected the game to the movie. I just finished a mission where I put the horse's head in Woltz's bed.

The only problem. I can't get the theme out of my head.

    Anyone else play it?

  5. I found this as an alternative...

Syracuse's sports station streams. Click on listen live.

They have mike and mike in the morning. (Way more interesting than the banal banter on WGR in the morning. I swear, they were actually singing TV themes the other morning. It was barely funny when it was called "Haseoke" If you can't think of interesting, relevant or original bits you shouldn't be on the radio. ) Plus they have Dan Patrick from 1-4! No more Jim Rome!

  6. LG is the Lotte Group, a Korean company. I did work for them (food industry) in Taejeong two years ago. You couldn't go anywhere in Korea without seeing every type of LG stuff. They are into everything except gas (for now). I don't know much about the quality of their stuff, but I would wait a few years before buying anything expensive. It takes them a little while before they get their quality standards up.

I thought that LG was Lucky Goldstar. (Also Korean)

  7. I'm not really surprised.  A few years back, Media Play expanded into Cleveland...all the stores remained open less than a year.

It seems to me like they're not really well run.

I can't speak to how the company is run, but Buffalo had always been one of Media Play's best markets. However the entire chain is closing. They can't compete with the Best Buys of the world. Those stores are willing to take a loss on hot CDs to get people into their stores. Whenever you see a new CD for 10.99 the retailer is most likely losing money on it.

  8. My first taste of the pain and joy known as the Buffalo Bills came as a 6-7 yr old. It was post-Ferguson and Pre-Kelly. I remember hearing my father, cousins and uncles voice their frustration with the team both on Sundays and all week long. I remember wondering how anyone could get so upset with something they so obviously enjoyed. Why didn't they just walk away? At this point, my experience with the NFL was limited to sticker books and wondering what in world third and ten meant.

Then it happened. I became a fan. Sometime before Marv Levy and my tenth birthday I got hooked. I don't remember how. It just happened. The Bills weren't good yet, but they were on their way. They had a cocky, strong armed young QB. They took a shot on a running back that had a horrible knee injury in college. There was a crazy trade that brought in a killer linebacker. It all seemed to culminate when the Bills won their first division title in years and fans rushed the field in exhuberance.

That day I realized why Bills fans didn't walk away. The bad games may have far outnumbered the good, but watching thousands of people rush the field in a surge of absolute elation made me realize exactly what this team gave the community. Moments. The tearing down of the goal posts. The juice rushing for 2000 in '73. Mike Stratton destroying Keith Lincoln. The comeback. The nail biting portion of my existence when Jim Kelly went from good to hall of famer by "taking it himself" and diving for a game winning touchdown with no time left on the clock.

As for next year, I will go into the season with the same dream of seeing the Bills win the super bowl that I always do. It seems to be a part of me. Some years it is more. Some years it is less. But it is always there.

The Buffalo Bills may never win the Super Bowl in my or your lifetime. They may never win it at all. They may move away. All the more reason that the most important things are the moments and the dream.

Yes, I am upset that this year's dream died about eight games ago. But people are getting a little out of hand. This is my antidote for screaming fans, sportstalk radio hosts claiming they are numb, fans describing themselves as depressed and the overall feeling that this is the end of the world. Cause it ain't even close.

  9. SD UT columnist Jerry Magee has been around a while.  He has actually written some flattering articles about the Bills in the past.  He has also had some interesting takes of the old AFL.

Every team has it's peaks and valleys.  I just thought that last year was the beginning of an ascent not a mini-peak.

I saw some people still wearing their Bills hats around San Diego over the last two days!  I raise my glass to the die hards!

    I love the JP quote...

"Ever get in a fight and get busted in the nose?" he asked his audience of media representatives. "I have. You have to get back up."

When I heard him say that in the press conference it didn't have as much impact. Probably because it sounded like my sister was saying it.

  10. what is more absurd? me putting a signature I found funny or you actually taking the time to research the !@#$ing thing you stupid peasent

    go bills

You are right. I apologize. I can’t believe the hours that I wasted.

Seriously, I’m sorry. I didn’t know that it was so easy to get a Canadian riled up. I hear prescription drugs are cheap up there. Maybe you should look into Prozac. It dulls you to the world. Since you enjoy walking through life with no clue, I figure that it's perfect.

I have to go now. I am still tired from earlier when I highlighted your sig and pasted it into google. Plus I have to get back to work or I will be a peasent forever.

  11. I'm not a democrat. I'm not a liberal. I'm not anti-Republican. Here is what I am: Something with enough sense to understand that all this nomination was brought about when it was brought about, with who it was brought about, to take away attention from the CIA investigation that has consumed the media.

Because if this is the future of America, it's no place for people who don't wish to use circle-logic as the basis of their entire political philosophy.

    491792[/snapback]

Hey Smarty McSmartypants. The phrase is "circular" logic and it is the past of America, it is the present of America and it is, most definitely, the future of America.

Unfortunately, you don't really understand politics. It's not about philosophy. It's about power. Choosing a side is merely one step in trying to get that power.

You can be mad at Bush. You can dissaprove of the job he does or his end goals. But, all you are is a hater. If your main argument against any politician is their Machiavellian actions, then you have to hate on all politicians. From local school board reps to town board members to the president, they all do what they gotta do.

You are of the mistaken belief that some other politician would not be playing the game. They would. This current president is very good at the game. So was the last one. The only difference is their objective.
