  1. Player turnover, quarterback turnover, offensive turnover. The longer you do something the more defenses can figure you out. I'm never going to say a football player definitively did not take steroids cuz I think we're kidding ourselves if we think otherwise, but there can be a lot of factors involved.

Maybe he just plateaued. That's always a possibility. Running backs have short life spans man.

  2. Honestly, and this sounds crazy, but I really think that they've been holding back their blitz packages for this game. I think they feel they can get pressure with their front four guys, and for the most part (Jets game, blehk) they have. So if you're getting pressure with four, don't give bellichek anything to prepare for. I would be shocked if we only rush four against Brady since everyone knows the way to beat him is to knock him on his ass. And frankly, if we don't get pressure, I am not convinced that our corners can keep up vs Brady.

edit: I feel I worded this wrong. I don't think they were like we're not blitzing until we play New England, I just think they've only blitzed when they've had to to give opposing coaches the least chance to prepare.

  3. I agree.

We re-signed White when Fred got hurt - - so the team wanted a 3rd RB on the roster. Assuming Fred can't go against NE and Spiller's injury is minor enough to avoid IR, do we have designated utility man Brad Smith take a few snaps at RB in practice this week? If he can run the wildcat, seems like he ought to be able to learn a few relatively simple plays so he could take a few snaps as a disaster RB if Choice or White get hurt against NE.

Or do we let Dickerson learn that role until either Fred or CJ can play?

If choice and White both go down, we're just going to pass and have Mc pick up blitzes and pound it out every now and again for 2 or 3 yards. They'll run even more WR screens than they do now.

  4. Florida State's offensive line when it feels like there's an offside quick snaps the ball and doesn't move.

Zebrie felt like there was an offside on that play and acted according to what his coaches told him to do. You can see the fellow to his right ALSO stays still. There was an offside call and they acted appropriately for that situation. You can see the Gator defensemen flinch at the line before the snap, that's what drew them to stand still.

A mental lapse to be incorrect about the offside, sure even if it probably was offside, was he napping or being a bonehead? No.

FLORIDA STATE! FLORIDA STATE! FLORIDA STATE! WOOOO
