Whitner Jersey!

There was a M!@#$ in the fans at the Sunday nighter against the Pats* wearing a Bruschi jersey. He was being an A$$ before the game even started. He was about 4 rows in front of us and we were yelling sh-- back and forth and then I yelled " Go have a F'ing heart attack"
I've said alot worse things as far as vulgarity but I got some great laughs in the crowd for that one....

Tucked away in an item from Clifton Brown of SportingNews.com regarding the development of Bills rookie cornerback Leodis McKelvin is an eye-opener from McKelvin’s mentor, safety Donte Whitner.
Asked whether he thinks the Bills will make it to the postseason in 2008, Whitner says, “Do I expect us to make the playoffs? I’m guaranteeing it.”
Guarantees don’t mean as much as they used to in sports (think Joe Namath). Lately, guarantees often turn out to be a kiss of death. But Whitner’s words suggest a level of confidence that hasn’t been displayed by Buffalo’s pro football team in a long time, and we like it.
We also agree with Whitner — the Bills very well could steal the No. 6 seed in the 2008 playoffs. They were close in 2007, and the Tennessee Titans, who were the last team in a year ago, haven’t done enough in the offseason to hold off the Bills or any other serious challengers in the conference.
Hadn't seen this anywhere yet...

Great read and great post. Bruce will also be inducted to the inaugural class of the Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame this August. He grew up in Norfolk, VA and has Lori's post indicates, resides in Va Beach. The inagural class consists of 7 members.

Bruce in a 4-3, as a DE, would have been devastatingly unfair for opposing offenses.
Exactly.....
He lives in the Va Beach, Norfolk Area and said that he has been mentoring one of the top HS QB's in the country, EJ Manuel who is headed to Florida State in the fall. Kid is nasty, saw him play a couple times.

Bruce Smith was a guest on ESPN Radio 1310 that broadcasts in his hometown Norfolk, VA. Lots of Bills fans called in from the area. One guy even referencing the Big Tree. I asked him what his thoughts were on the Bills playing some 'home' games in Toronto, especially if he was on the team at the time. His responded by saying "I would not be happy and.....we will leave it at that". Then spoke about about how much the Bills mean to the WNY community and so on.....
One thing interesting that he talked about was how he always played in the 3-4 defense and complained about all the double and triple teams on him. He was saying how other people ( Reggie White, Deacon Jones, etc ) had so many sacks due to the system they played in. When asked if he ever went to the front office regarding this and he said "many times"
Glad to hear some Bills talk in VA Beach

Tell me I'm crazy, but I think this game is going to be close and the Bills might cover...
-
Whats the next move for the bills......there is alot we want...but what do does everyone think we will actually get??
-
Look, Evans is already guaranteed to be the #1 WR come this fall. What I'm curious to see is who the Bills will pick up at #2, once Moulds leaves. I think the Antonio Bryant from the Browns would be a good choice to fill that position. We don't have to worry about the Browns keeping him because they have already said be will become a free agent. Come Levy, get him.
I like Givens....depending on the money.

We have only interviewed three people that i know of Lofton Sherman and Jauron. From what I've been hearing the decision will be or already has been made. Doesn't anyone else think we should be interviewing more people than those three??
