    ANALYSIS

Positives: Wide-body type with a thick chest and big arms … Has that quick twitch movement ability coming out of his stance, showing nimble feet and good hand rise and explosion … Hits defenders instantly coming off the ball, delivering power behind his arm swipes … Gains position and sustains blocks with a wide leg base and arms extended … Has the leg drive to steer and pin-block the defender … Shows very good knee bend for a player his size … Shows the agility to pull and accelerate at the point of attack … Uses his hands properly to turn the defender and makes smooth adjustments in space to cut off and wall off the linebackers … Very quick to set and extend his hands, delivering a forceful punch and jab on the pass rusher … Has the lateral slide needed to recover when changing direction … Competes and works hard in the weight room … Works well with the offensive guard in picking up stunts with ease … Shuffles his feet well setting up in pass protection.

Negatives: Needs to get his weight to the 340-pound area in order to maintain stamina … Relies more on power than technique, lacking the true explosion you would want from someone his size coming off the snap … Needs to improve his footwork a bit, as he seems hesitant redirecting to inside moves … Will punch and jab at defenders rather than trying to push off … Has good trap-block ability, but has not been used much to pull … Overextends at times, but has the quickness to recover.

    CAREER NOTES

Physical, athletic and intelligent lineman who developed into one of the nation's premier offensive tackles in 2001 … Dominating blocker who is unbelievably light on his feet for his size … "The sky's the limit for Mike and he has a chance to be one of the great ones," offensive coordinator Greg Davis said … Moved into the starting lineup at right tackle in the later part of his sophomore year … Has allowed only two quarterback sacks in 28 career starts.

Did anyone else see this....WE ARE DOOMED!!!!

  2. IMHO, DLP is the way to go. DLP uses a bulb to project the images on screen and it can be replaced once it wears down (about 5 years). It is an easy fix and much less expensive versus LCD replacement.

Please read report from Here. Cnet is extremely informative and helpful when purchasing electronics.

  3. My wife really wants to go to Vegas so we're heading out for a week in a few days. Just wondering what there is to do for a guy who doesn't care for cities, lights, noise, casinos, crowds, etc.

If I had my druthers, I'd just get dropped in the middle of nowhere with a pack and come back in 4-5 days. However, to keep peace in the valley I've agreed to at least give the place a try. We're staying at the Tuscany near the Strip and have a car so there should be some options.

So what the hell can I do that doesn't involve toothless whores, retarded fratboys and teeming masses of derelict gamblers?

If you are a big fan of Queen, then you should go see We will Rock you at Paris. The show was great and not nearly as expensive as Blue "balls" group.

Blue Man Group is very overrated.

  4. The LSU band marching down the hill looked really cool. Here are some traditions at Ohio State. The St. John Arena and The 'Shoe movie shows the band marching into Skull Session (a pre-game pep rally the packs the old 14,000 seat football arena) and running into the stadium. After they run into the stadium they go directly to the ramp for pre-game. The band is the only all brass and percussion band in the country. About 450 try out every year and only 225 make it. I am trying out this year for the first time, so I hope I make it.

Good Luck. One of my friends played bass drum on the Nat. Champ. Team. The best College game experience is OSU on band alumni weekend. I get chills watching 4 scprit Ohio's. gotta love it!

  5. I WAS #1 Columbus Bills Fan last year---but I moved (again).

Rumor had it there's a Bills bar up on Sawmill Road (Spoons); I never went there when I lived in Columbus (saw the game at BW3's near German Village)---but it would seem to be the place to catch the games.

The rumor is true. My dad lives close to that bar. I have been there many times to throw darts. The owner of the bar is a big bills fan. I recognize him from this huge bills club in Columbus at a restaurant called Michael Dominics (from the 90's).

My dad has DirectTV (for the last 4 years), so I go over to his house to watch the games. The only problem is that DirectTV is becoming so expensive that he is considering dropping it soon. I may have opened up a new can of worms.

  6. I bought the game last week. I have played some games, but I am now in the middle of simulating a dynasty team.

Do you guys have any tips to help win simulated games?

I have toggled with the coaching options and it has seemed to help to have the opposite ( your team vs. the opponent)for agrresiveness.
