Can't tell you how many times we've changed the router, twice in the past six months.  But we keep having our Internet and everything else just die.

You've probably thought of this, but make sure the modem is up to date as well.  One of my friends was having a similar issue and I suggested she check her modem.  It turns out the modem was eight years old.  She brought it to the Spectrum store for a free swap and hasn't had one issue since.  I'm sure AT&T does something similar...they can't be worse than Spectrum, can they??

  2. The Bills would have the fastest receivers, let me tell you. Their running backs would run so hard - the hardest. Brett Favre would have come back to play QB and he would be very strong. You wouldn't believe how strong he would be. The Bills would have built a wall around their stadium to keep opposing fans at bay, paid for by Jets supporters on Long Island. Belichick is a great leader - the strongest coach. It doesn't matter that he cheats because the Patriots WIN. The Bills should be the ones winning. It's obvious the NFL is rigged.

At least that's how I imagine it for some reason...

  3. I had an isolated instance of rapid atrial fibrillation while playing college volleyball (almost the same age as Marcus). It was incredibly scary. Fortunately, at the hospital, they were able to kick it back to normal with meds. After running a bunch of tests (echocardiogram, stress echo, multiple ekgs, bloodwork) they couldn't find reason why it happened. I'm now 32, haven't changed any aspects of my life, and it hasn't happened again since. Hopefully it'll be the same for Marcus. Having gone on this long I'd probably guess the docs will want to use electric cardioversion to prevent clots from forming. After having the problem I did quite a bit of reading. It sounds like it is typically very fixable and he'll live a healthy life. Whether he can play professional sports will be the question...any MDs with better knowledge?

  4. I have a feeling AVP's playbook is going to open up now that Dick is gone. He'll be auditioning for next season - what does he have to lose? Hard to imagine Fewell dictating anything offensively...if I was AVP I'd be rearing to go! Maybe this is why he hasn't spoken to the media - he's been busy transcribing plays from Madden 2010.

  5. I think it was only around 10 mil. I don't know why people think Ralph is just being cheap and doesn't want to spend it. its not like this team was only 1-2 players away from a SB run and Rlph wanted rookies in there. Most teams Re-building like the Bills are don't spend up to the cap until they are only a couple players away from making a huge run. They develop younger players and keep cap money free by not giving out huge bonuses and contracts to mediocre players so in future seasons they aren't dealing with deadcap money.

If Ralph were as cheap as everyone here would like the world to think, he would have packed up and sold the team to make money years ago instead of staying in Buffalo and making a small profit off the team.

Great explanations. Thanks. If things go well these last few games maybe he'll go out and get those 1-2 players!

  6. I'm having a hard time getting excited about all of the cap room we're going to have come spring.

From what I've read it seems we had quite a bit of unutilized cap money this past year, right? Is it just that Wilson is cheap or was it just that there wasn't anything we were interested in spending big on? What happens to the remaining cap money, does it go into Wilson's pocket?

  7. Your thoughts are always very intelligent and interesting to read Bill, unlike some of the more recent blathering spin-offs. I just want to add something that hit me today...

I realized that I am starting to believe in JP - regardless of what stats may or may not show. I have always been relatively indifferent with respect to him. Whenever it mattered I would get that bad feeling in my stomach when he would drop back. It's probably the result of the past two weeks (combination of O-line and JP play) but today I never got that feeling, and instead believed that JP could make something happen.
