  1. This is not going to happen or shouldn't happen on three points:

1 - We are not going to pick that low. We are picking top 1

2 - No way we get Te'o that late in the first round. He will be a top 5 pick. Unless we pick 3 or 4, it's not happening

3 - Landry Jones, no thank you. Guy is Fitz 1.1

I agree we will pick higher then 13 which can increase the odds on Te'o making it to Buffalo...

Landry Jones Fitz 1.1? He has good size, arm strength, would fit Chan's offense, he would do wonders for the passing game, and give them an actual vertical passing attack

    1st round:

    13. Buffalo: Manti Te'o ILB Notre Dame: Bills play often in Nickel with Barnett (age 32) and Bryan Scott (age 31), who are among the 4 oldest Bills on the team. The Bills need a 3-down, run-stuffing LB because Scott is a liability against the run. We'll continue to see runs up the gut as long as we have a retrofitted CB in the middle. We need the star LB from one of the FBS's great run-stuffing teams, someone who led that team with 128, 133, and 157 tackles in the last 3 years, and is nominated this year for the Lombardi Award (as did Notre Dame and revered Bills DE, Walt Patulski). As long as we're customizing our pick, let's make sure he's also an Eagle Scout, volunteers for Special Olympics, and leads the FBS in INT's this year. Have him be a family man who has 30 family members attend his Senior Day game. Finally, make sure he's not a prima donna who leaves his gaps to make plays that aren't his to make. That's Manti Te'O. Now if he were only from NY and not Hawaii . . . -- Dean Kindig, Bills DraftTek Analyst

    2nd round:

    44. Buffalo: Landry Jones QB Oklahoma: Landry's resuscitation as a Top Five QB might have begun with his 63 points against Texas, where his 4 TD's looked far better than his earlier erratic performances. He trumped that output against K-State in a losing effort, five TD's and 505 yards. Most recently, Landry's 6 TD's and an OU-record 554 yards in a comeback victory against WVU, one stolen from Geno and the Morgantowners, will make Channix swoon, especially at pick #45. Even more delectable is Jones' ability to run the no-huddle; in many games you'll notice the lack of a cheat sheet on a wristband. Named for Tom Landry, this accurate passer (63%-67% for 3 years) will be the Big 12 conference's all-time leader in passing yards, the winningest quarterback in school history, and one of only three QB's in FBS history with 3,000 passing yards in four different seasons. --Dean Kindig, Bills DraftTek Analyst

If this ever happened, I would literally cry with joy.

  3. It is bad enough that 2/9ths (22.22%) of season ticket holder money goes to worthless preseason games compared to the rest of the league at 2/10ths (20%), but now once again my December home games are WORTHLESS, I won't be able to give them away. That means 5/9ths (55.56%) of my money was spent on meaningless games. And don't get me started on having to pay full price for kids day when people sitting next to me spent $10 for their kids. Nice business model Russ, way to take care of your season ticket holders!

Here is an idea: Stop gliding cash to Ralph and STOP going...tickets are not a RIGHT folks...send a clear message and stay away from the games!

  4. Mel Kiper is a guide and that is how he should be viewed.

Personally even though he has a massive ego, he is good at what he does. Name me a scout, NFL Draft expert, GM, or anyone that has not misjudged lots of talent over the years.

Any of you out there or myself would make the same exact mistakes.

HE is doing what we all dream to do and we are jealous.

    Deal with it.

  5. they obviously wanted to use the second round pick on a guy that would contribute this year

the California comment was sarcasm dude, guess you missed that as well

    And the sky is green?

Nice deflection, because it sure looked sincere on the screen.

Now we have hope in a 7th round QB, more hope that will most likely go unfulfilled.

Pass rush: Often used on the strong side because of his run-stopping ability, so pass rush came mostly from hustle and effort. Keeps coming after initial punch from tackle. Has good speed, flexibility and hand play to turn the corner if used that way. Stood up on some occasions to blitz inside gaps or come off the edge. Keeps his eyes in the backfield and gets hands up to deflect passes, but does not own the length to block many.

Run defense: Plays with leverage, standing strong against much bigger offensive tackles and able to disengage to reach the ball when it comes by him. Also moves down the line while engaged. Comes downhill when standing up to blow up fullbacks or attack the ballcarrier. Maintains containment on his side of the line. Rips off tight end blocks easily with strong hands. Will be engulfed by NFL tackles.

Explosion: Lacks elite quickness or pop for a strong-side defensive end but uses violent hands and has enough get-off to pressure the tackle's outside shoulder on a pass rush.

Strength: Plays with leverage and is quite strong for his size but lacks the bulk to turn tackles or push the pocket at the next level. May be best off playing linebacker in order to match up against tight ends or get the jump on tackles off the edge. Should handle most tight ends playing the nine-technique against the run and in coverage.

Tackling: Exceptional hustle and chase on the edge, whether the play is in front of or behind him. Plays low and changes directions well. Wraps and rarely lets go, even though his arms are not as long as many NFL defenders. Goes through the ballcarrier and delivers a serious blow on almost every tackle.

Intangibles: Durable, consistent, high-effort performer who plays hard through the fourth quarter. Vocal leader who congratulates teammates and lets them know when they did not complete their assignment.

  7. Don't bash the Bills draft picks. Every year, everyone on here LOVES what the Bills do in the draft. Ed Wang in the 5th? WHOO-HOO. LT problem solved. He will be an an All-Pro for 10 years LOVE IT!!!!!!! Anyone who thinks otherwise is flamed beyond recognition. Anyone the Bills don't get (Campbell is the latest), well, that player sucks anyway and the team that got him is stupid. I think the Bills draft flat out sucks. I think it has pretty much sucked for the last 11 years. Their record and playoff appearances bear that out but reality around here is something that does not exist. They still do not have a LT or a QB and no depth whatsoever. They reached in the 2nd round. Easley in the 4th? Another reach. Bills have pretty much drafted projects that may or may not pan out years down the line and took them all higher than they should have gone. I'm calling next year's 1st overall pick right now. Jake Locker and he will be a Buffalo Bill. I do think even Oakland has done better than the Bills. I would have loved to have Baltimore's draft. Ozzie Newsome knows what he is doing. That's why Baltimore has a ridiculously great defense every year. Ralph was right. The Bills have been dull and continue to be dull. He forgot to mention they still suck.

You think Ralph would take him and pay him?

    Not me

  8. What do you know about Troup, other than nothing? UCF had over 90 tackles for a loss of over 400 yards- Troup's ability to take on the constant double teams allowed them to do that. They forced 17 fumbles, recovering 15 of them and intercepted 12 passes because of what he did to free up other defenders. If we didn't take him, San Diego would have, as they have to replace Jamaal Williams.

We don't want Clausen. He isn't very good and never will be. Campbell holds the ball and doesn't fit our new offense.

We are taking steps in the right direction, because we are rebuilding from scratch. We probably have a top 10 or maybe a top five pick next year because of it, but that happens when you rebuild correctly. We aren't building around guys like Schobel and Lynch, we are building to win. Love it or leave it......

Good points about Troup and the reality is, I have watched Cam but have not watched Troup so I don't know a ton about it.

And criticizing him as a 2nd round pick isn't because of what Mel solely says...several different rankings suggested that he would have been available later in the draft...that was my point.

Ill always love it..I am not leaving the Bills ever, no matter what

  9. Having spent time throughout China the last few years, their infatuation with Yao Ming as a native son playing pro sports in the U.S. is unprecedented. Every game the Rockets play (when he's healthy) is on national TV!

I'll make a prediction today: Wang jerseys will be the most purchsed Bills garb in history before next season ends. -maybe before KO vs. the Fish!

    Welcome new Bills fans!
