Beings its winter, I spend much time inside, and drink more coffee. I have been to the specialty coffee shops to purchase various blends , but have so far found them to be just alright nothing that is really special.
What coffee do folks who brew it use, and if you had opportunity which would you select.
So far Hazelnut- Vanilla coffee tastes the nicest , but is more a dinner coffee than a daytime .
What a topic, I could go on for days about this so I'll try and make it as short as I can.
I buy greeen beans and roast them at home, that way I get what I want when I want and how I want.
Their are several ways to roast and several places to buy all the things you need to do it I'll post a few links that you can check out.
If you don't want to roast you can mail order coffee ,it's decent but a pain to keep buying that way and it's costly.
Starbucks [charbucks or starburnt] as their are called by my fellow roasters is a pricey and not a very tasty way to go.
Premier Gourmet on Dleaware is a decent place to buy fresh roasted beans.They don't over roast and have coffee from all over the world and it's under 10 bucks a pound http://www.premiergourmet.com/catalog/.

I also see that people are interested in how to brew coffee. I do drip, french press, vac pot , and a few others I won't go into now.How you brew yours really depends on how you like you coffee and how much time you have to make it.
A few things are very important.Buy whole beans if at all possible coffee goes stale very fast when ground .Get a good grinder a burr grinder not a 15 dollar whirly blade deal they burn the beans and it can hurt the taste. If you use a drip coffee maker get one that makes really hot water.
The ideal temp fpr brewing coffee is 200 degrees very few coffee makers can do that this one does it it's a very good price http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00066XRN...garden&v=glance
A lot of people like frech press better and one of the reasons is the water is much closer to 200 degrees and the flavor is better becauce of it.

Sorry the last post scewed up,like I said I got out in 1980 and if someone was in that situation their would be an invesgation into his death . It might be posible for his wife to get those records.Also all service men at that time had insurance for 25,000,find out if that payment was made. All people who are discharged recieve a form called DD214 it has all their information on it. I had lost mine and tried to get another copy of it .I called veterans affairs and they said it could take weeks or months to get it. He gave me some advice on how to get it .He said if you didn't pick up the one sent to the county you were discharged it might still be their .I called and sure enough after 25 years it was their.
I got mine in Niagara counrty no ID was needed to get it. The reason i say this is if someone was not being truthful about dates or got the dates mixed up this would give you some info on his military career.

Hi I've been drinking the best coffee I can find for over 25 years,well before it went mainstream. I roast my own beens at home and can't count how many types of beens I've had over the years.
My son wakes up at 2am to go to work and bought a senseco pod maker.He thought it was thin tasting also.I told him they sell a filter for it that you can put your own coffee in. I would use a dark roasted coffee in the filter to give it some body being that the filter holds 8grams. You stated you use Starbucks coffee which I really don't like because its to dark and that takes away from the flavor of the been much like over cooking a steak. Their are places locally you can get much better coffee for about half the price .Premier Gourmet has very good coffee much better that char-bucks or star-burnt as is called by my fellow roasters.
I don't want to sound like a snob if you love that coffee more power to you.But if you want to try going in a different direction then upgrade your beans .I am putting in a link to one of the best places for reading about and buying coffee beens their is and a link about the filter for your pod.

Kiko vs. Shady

I don't post often most of the time it all gets covered by the great posters here . I believe Shady was acquired to take pressure off our young QB's when Shady is healthy he can get to the edge and catch it out of the backfield.
Tyrod has the luxury of having very skilled players to hand it off to and throw it to, it's brought up how calm he is I think some of it comes from the weapons that are at his disposal .
I loved Kiko but the young QB needs all the help he can get if Shady helps him with few good years I'll take it.
