This is your best option, it is within two minutes of where I90 and Ridge Road meets. Just on the other side of TOPS.

  2. I went to school in Williamsburg, so I have a little insight. First, Colonial Williamsburg (CW) should talk one to one and one half days. Busch Gardens, if you like amusement parks, is a day. You also have Yorktown and Jamestown within a ten to fifteen minute ride each way on the Colonial Parkway, but you can probably do both in one day. I think three days is about right.

If you need any info, send me a pm.

  3. No way.

I was at that game in January 1993, and it was the single most thrilling game I ever attended. Every time I see highlights, my eyes tear up. This season has turned out to be a fun one, the team has rebounded nicely, but I still remember how the feelings in the crowd changed after Christie recovered the onside kick and then Beebe scoring. How many of us who went to that game had a voice the next day?

  4. I revere the flag and still get goosebumps watching a flag get raised in the morning when I drive by the courthouse on my way to work. With that said, everything the flag stands for says the Packers can fly the flag at half mast when they believe it is appropriate.

I personally like flag etiquette and that it should only be flown at half mast for civilians upon an order of the governor or president.

  5. As an attorney who also teaches legal writing at the University of South Carolina Law School, I thought I should also chime in.

First and foremost, a law school education is a great thing. If you work hard at it, you will learn to think critically and will improve your writing skills. Law school can be a great building block for many careers, but I would not suggest anyone go to law school unless he or she really wants to be a lawyer. I liked law school, but I did not care for my fellow classmates. Law school classes are small, and tend to be the size of high school classes, 100-300 people, so cliques run rampant.

After law school, I clerked for a federal judge, worked as a public defender, and now work as a Plaintiffs' lawyer doing Class action work. I also have some Social Security disability cases, Workers' Compensation cases, and some federal criminal work. For me, it took only 3 years to figure out the type of legal work I enjoy. I like complex procedural issues, including due process, so class actions are fun for me. But at the same time, class actions are difficult because you have to win every procedural hurdle, and the defense only has to win one.

If you are interested in law school and wish to chat, PM me. I have some insight on civil, criminal, plaintiff, and defense. If you have the time, I suggest trying to work as a paralegal for a firm. Many law firms hire college grads as paralegals rather than trained paralegals knowing that the college grad will eventually go to law school. Seeing what lawyers do day to day will give you some true insight in deciding whether you want to be a lawyer.

As for tort reform, if anyone wants to have an informed debate, feel free to PM me as well.

  6. I listened to the game on the radio, and they won in the slop. Remember early on in the year when the Tribe beat them in the mud up at UNH 9-7. Little did anyone know that would be for the A-10 title. By the way, Ga. Southern got the 5th seed, not UNH (hence UNH playing in Statesboro this weekend). Nonetheless, I think UNH beats Montana next week. Wish the Tribe luck with Delaware and attempting to avenge its only 1-AA loss of the year.

  7. I am sorry I really am not in touch with the legal community in Buffalo, but as a lawyer, here is some advice I can give on picking a lawyer:

    1) pick someone that is affordable, but not the cheapest

    2) pick someone that tells you like it is and not what you want to hear

    3) pick someone who has a good reputation and not the biggest ad in the phone book (and my firm has the biggest ad in the phone book in my city)

    good luck.

  8. Let'em go 5 wide.  Just line up and play them tight, and smash'em in the damn mouth inside of 5 yards.  The Bills have absolutely nothing to lose in this game.  Come out VERY aggressive on D.  No soft coverage, Blitz the crap out of Marcia.  They WILL win this game.

Agreed. If they go five wide, play the same defense the Bills played in the 1993 Comeback game in the second half, use linebackers to knock down receivers at the line of scrimmage.

  9. LOL. 31-0 last year in Foxboro. It was the ref's fault.

Making excuses before the game is even played pretty much sums up how you guys feel about your team. I'm sure you're all Mike Martz fans as well.

    Dear guest:

I know we are living in the past, but do you have a response to "just give it to em". You know the game and it was a play or two before the phantom pass interference in the end zone during the hail mary pass.

  10. I'll vote East Aurora on this one.

You can buy a small house in the Village for $140k, or a nice house a few miles out of town for $200-$300. Decent schools, not too far from Buffalo but your commute will probably be around 45 minutes in the winter.

Yes - You might drive through EA on your way to the bills game from Virginia if you come in from the corning area and take 20a into the Ralph. Wings at the Bar Bill are great.

I guess you can on 20A. Sorry, did not think about it. I prefer taking US 15 to I-80, to some smaller roads to 240.
