  1. CLTbills, I took my teenage son to the game this weekend.  We both had a blast.  I have taken him throughout the years and we have some great memories. I hope you take your son in a few years.  Make some memories!  We had great conversations with other Bills fans like always.  We live in MD just outside DC and he loves coming up to Buffalo for a game and seeing family.

I am so happy that Bruce and his dad had a great time.  Great job fellow fans!  This is what life is all about.  Go Bills!

  2. Good point. One difference ... RGIII wants to play "his" way (and if what I hear every day on DC radio is true) and not the way coaches want him to.

I may be wrong, but I don't think I have heard that about EJ - an unwillingness to learn.

This ^^^^^ I am in the DC area and this is spot on. This has been a coach killer. RGIII thinks he is better than what he is. He is no longer what he use to be in his first year in the league, especially physically. Watching Mike Shanahan with RGIII was a circus. Keeping RGIII in a playoff game with him hurt was crazy to watch on tv as it unfolded. Change of scenery is NOT going to change RGIII. The Redskins are trying to get what they can from all the picks they gave up to get RGIII. It is that simple.

  3. I am going to take a different angle on the Batavia stadium site. Itcould be an interesting site for possible owners of the Bills, namley Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas. I know Jim's wife is from the Batavia area and Thurman Thomas is a part owner or involved with the Batavia Downs and the casino operations there. Maybe this ties the personal and business interests of the two to the Batavia talk.

  4. Hey, here's a big thanks to all of you! You guys are SO funny, my spirits have been lifted greatly! I have this funny feeling that I and my situation represents most of you maniacs! Let's face it, these Buffalo Bills are in our DNAs. I think that it's safe to say that no matter what kind of adversities that we face this freaking franchise gets us so jacked up! I love it and I think that these current players love playing for us because of it! Thanks again everybody for your wellwishes, it sure made me feel a whole lot better!

    Go Bills!

Best wishes Tipster for a speedy recovery!

  5. My Uncles name was Tommy Colella. He played RB and DB and punted.

He was from Albion New York. My Aunt is STILL alive at 93 and STILL gets pension from the NFL. Crazy

I grew up in Albion, NY and received my life long love for the Bills from an uncle of mine who passed away this Spring. Nice to hear your story and find a common connection to Albion. Go Bills!

  6. A couple of responses to answering my post above......

    - First....that is kind of a point....you should give an A grade to someone for not being an idiot and doing the right thing....because that is a choice. I am QUITE sure with Blaine Gabbart, Patrick Peterson, and of course Marcel Darius the phone was ringing with a trade down offer.....but Nix realizing just what a player like Marcel Darius means for your team stood his ground and made the pick. To someone like Nix who OPENLY says he would like all the picks he can get this had to be a temptation.

    - Regarding the QB.....so....if we traded down and took Christian Ponder with our first pick (jesus christ I cant even believe that happened) then we would have had a BETTER draft? It does NO GOOD to put your eggs in a 1st round QB basket if you dont actually THINK they are a definate franchise QB......imo opinion the 2nd round would have been ok to take one because even if the QB didnt end up being a franchise guy and just a good backup for your team then it was worth...but that big money first round player needs to be a IMPACT player at some point. Marcel Darius or Christian Ponder? that isnt even a valid question for me.

    - I beleive we do need to find a franchise QB....I dont think we should reach for one.

Marcel Darius not only will help this team himself but plays a position that helps others around him be good players because of the attention he will demand from the offense. Fitz was going to be our starter this year no matter what......

I absolutely will give credit to the GM for doing the RIGHT thing and not try to get cute and eventually hurting the team.......

    Good post

  7. Richmond has been a very formidable football program in recent years, national champs, semis and quarters the past few years, playing in the very competitive A-10 conference. Don't underestimate the talent coming out of U of R

My neighbor played with Jeff Nixon, the former Bill in college. My neighbor was a LB at Richmond and was going to get drafted but his knees were shot. The Richmond program has started to come back to prominence with their recent national championship. I will try to see what his thinks of this kid.
