  1. I actually thought they had the talent and depth to run the table last season. And then a funny thing happened on the way to an undefeated title run.

That was a reminder that you can never know what is going to happen in the early stages. That's one of the things that makes college football such a superior overall game than professional football.

The Tide had many inexperienced players on the field last year especially at corner back. Hopefully this position has solidified or we will drop a game or two to S Carolina or LSU.

  2. They rolled Toomer's corner after hearing about USC's sanctions.

Barn fans are hoping the AP and BCS will award Auburn the championship retroactively.

Oh, the irony if it did happen.

    What a joke-ROLL TIDE!!!!!!

  3. I think thats before the extra fee for HD as well isn't it? For the first time in 13 years I'm not getting it. Between the Bills ineptitude and the price increase it has lost its appeal. Of course if they turn this ship around next year I'll be back.

That $100 fee for HD really got under my skin. Not signing up this year.

  4. I live in Charlotte, NC and I have been buying the Sunday ticket (350.00) so that I can catch all the Bills games the past 10 years. I will not be renewing my subscription anymore. The Bills will need to put a better product on the field before I blow anymore money on this joke of a team. How could Ralph not fire Jauron; what a mess!!!

I am not renewing my Sunday Ticket either. NFL Football is entertainment nothing more. Would you keep going to see a lousy band every time they came to town just because you always had in the past? The Bills are a lousy band folks with an incompetent conductor and manager.

I have been a fan since 1960. My heart just isn't with the Bills right now.

  5. I believe this kind of BS is illegal as per the Sherman Anti-Trust Act.

Local Honda service disqualified claim of coworker when he stopped going to "qualified, Honda mechanic" and had major tuneup done by outside firm. He disputed it with Honda USA and they said contract allows for that even if they do not always enforce it. Claim denied again so watch out if you have any issues later.
  6. I work at the Lincoln, AL factory that makes the Pilot so here's my two cents worth. I would not do spark plugs, valve adjustments, valve cover gaskets-seals at 60,000 miles. Everything else you should consider (buy and replace your air cleaner and cabin filter yourself and save $$$)

Save your money for the 100,000 mile service. You will have to change the timing belt, water pump and seals here. You have platinum spark plugs installed so you may wish to change them here and maybe the wires. We changed the plugs-wires on my 2003 Odyssey at 150,000 but it was driven almost exclusively on the interstate. Why change valve cover gaskets and seals if they are not leaking? Seems unnecessary to me.

    This:

-Replace Spark Plugs (V-6...Add $10.00/Platinum plugs extra)

    -Replace Air Filter

    -Adjust Engine Valves

-Replace Valve Cover Gasket & Seals

    -Inspect Ignition Wires

    -Inspect/Adjust Idle Speed

    -Replace Transmission Fluid

-Inspect Brake Hydraulic System and Power Assist unit for Leakage and proper Operation

-Inspect All Body Mounting Bolts and Strut Mounts

    -Replace Brake Fluid

    -Check Charging System

  7. Disconnect your power plug and open your case. Locate the battery on your motherboard. Look for a small three prong jumper with a cap on it near the battery, may be marked on the board as CMOS jumper. The cap will be on pins 1-2 or 2-3. Whatever set it is on, switch it to the other set for 30 seconds or so then switch it back. Close your case and fire it up. This resets your bios-cmos instructions. Has worked for me several times.

  8. Internet Options lets me manipulate IE. Where within AVG 8.0 do I get to the "recommendations" ?

Forget trying to change settings in the AVG, as this will not help with your original question about not being protected. Go to start, control panel, security center, virus protection, recommendations. Check the box for "I have an antivirus program I'll monitor myself" While your at it, in the same "Security Center" window under "Resources" Click "Change the way security center alerts me" and uncheck all the boxes there. Now windows won't nag you for a firewall or auto updates either. Manually control all of these in the same security center window to the right.

  9. Well, I installed AVG 8.0 Free...

Click on "On-Line Help"...it launches an IE session. Isn't that special? ;)

Shut off "Automatic Updates"...Win XP shield tells you, you are not protected...

I'm going to dump this over-arching, self-serving pig of a program soon.

The IE window opened because that is your default browser, mine opened in Firefox My default. Also the security shield will always tell you that you have no protection until you check the box under "recmmendations" that says "I have an antivirus program that I will monitor myself"
