  1. I'm thoroughly confused...I thought it was 2006? But, apparently we are living in the year 1985 once again. Unless Jim McMahon is handing off to Walter Payton this Sunday, and J.P. is being harrassed unmercifully by Wilber Marshall and Otis Wilson, I believe the Bills most certainly have a very good chance to not only be competitive in this game, but maybe, dare I say, WIN this game!? Now concerning the "Bruschi" factor- yes, we must be very wary of this...we know the awe-inspiring strength and vitality of the mighty and powerful Brushi. Let us hope that the Bruschi factor is really just a figment of our warped imaginations.

  2. Jags/Bucs | Williams not sure where he is, but pretty sure he is hungry

    Mon, 15 May 2006 16:44:12 -0700

While the uncertainty of his football whereabouts continues, Florida newspapers report that Jaguars/Buccaneers OT/G Mike Williams has signed a guaranteed one-hour contract with Hardees worth 14 Double Bacon Cheese Thickburger® Value Meals.  The deal carries a significant risk for Hardees custodial staff, but is seen as a vote of confidence for the restaurant chain's seating booths, whose load-bearing capacities had been privately questioned in recent reports.

    A.P.- Williams denies secret contract:

    16 May 2006-

Offensive Tackle Extraordinaire Big Mike Williams, now of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has vehemently denied the rumours that he has penned a deal with the fastfood chain "Hardees". Big Mike was quoted as saying the charges were "scurrilous". Williams' full denial can be viewed at this website:

    AP: May 10, 2006: Tampa Bay|

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced the signing of former Buffalo Bill OG Jerry Ostroski. Ostroski, who has been in retirement, chose to end the sabatical, due to his stated desire to play along side another Buffalo Bill great, OT Big Mike Williams. Also, in other news-in an attempt to improve their pass rush, the Bucs have signed DE Chidi Ahanotu.

  4. I cannot believe that people are bashing the performance of Vincent D'Onofrio!!!! The guy is the ONLY reason to watch this show...and I think he's one of the more talented and unheralded actors working today. It's laughable that that this thread would praise the likes of Peter Falk and Chris Noth...Noth's character is as annoying as it was a decade ago, and his bad dye job (cinnamon sable) is absurd!

But last night's episode was quite good...Whoopie was great

  5. Is Tampa Bay about 200 miles from Jacksonville?  Big Mike is calling...needs to know how to get to Tampa from Jacksonville so he can report to camp

Big Mike called me and asked how he could get to Tampa. I told him that he could swim around the coast of Florida from Jacksonville to Tampa. He had concerns about it being dangerous, but I assured him that the U.S. had outlawed whaling in the early 1970s.

  6. CNN.COM- Breaking News: "Weapons of Mass Destruction Located?"

    May 3, 2006: Washington-

"After three years of painstaking efforts, the United States military has confirmed to CNN that Saddam Hussein's secret weapons cache may have been finally located- trace elements of nuclear materials-said to have originated in Iraq-were found in the refrigerator of former Buffalo Bill (and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer) Mike Williams. However, no weapons themselves have been found, allowing State Department officials to conclude that Mr. Williams has eaten them, a charge the Buc offensive linemen vehemently denies."

  7. Well, just when it seemed that things couldn't possibly get worse, they indeed have! Take an 87 year old owner, coupled with an 80 yr. old GM, add a retread head coach, and you get the proverbial recipe for disaster. Sad, sad day for this rapidly sinking franchise, my friends. Oh, how I miss those days of yore, when the esteemed Thomas Donahoe guided this once stalwart franchise through the tempestuous storms of the NFL. How I wax harmoniously for those days!

    We're fcucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WGR Audio vault discussion of Dick Jauron with Hub Arkush of Pro Football Weekly.

"I believe Dick Jauron will win a Super Bowl someday..."

    577932[/snapback]

Yeah, Jauron will win a Super Bowl the same year the great Hub Arkush wins the Pulitzer Prize....what a boatload of crap. The Bills are screwed with this jackass

    stalking the sidelines.

  9. I agree that one should not generalize when discussing Christianity. However,

having been raised an evangelical Christian, I DO understand as to why people

make such broad generalizations. This is the end-result of what is perceived

to be the rather arrogant nature of Christians, from the perspective that they believe themselves to be above all others because of the sanctity of their belief

system. I know this first hand...they deem themselves to be right, while all others

are absolutely wrong. Because of this, they're going to heaven, and everyone else is going to hell! That is why when illicit or idiotic things occur within the confines of a Christian church, such as the two situations mentioned in this thread, non-Christians enjoy pointing them out. Personally, I love seeing them knocked off of their soapbox too!!

  10. I think the negativity surrounding Clements is unfounded. Should he have tried to knock the pass down, instead of trying for the pick?? Yes!!! But at the same time, I have to give the guy credit...he was TRYING to make a big play- a game saving play. There AREN'T players on this team who even try to take it upon themselves to make a big play when it's needed most.

We have talented players galore, but inspite of their talent, NONE of them seem to WANT to be the guy to step up and make the game-saving or game-breaking play.

We just don't have any Bruce Smiths, or Kellys, or Talleys on this team. What we have are talented players without the heart or will to step up big in the key spot.

    It's so frustrating!!!!
