  1. Crazy story -

I was driving Uber when he was playing for Buffalo.   I actually picked him up the night before he quit during halftime.   I drove him to Chipotle, he ran in to grab food then I drove him back home.     He was a nice dude..

Very sad about what happened to him.

It wasn't. It just sounds a bit comical. People get their panties knotted up too easy these days. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Ed Kilgore being an Uber driver and yhere is absolutely nothing wrong with laughing about the thought of Ed Kilgore being an Uber driver.

So glad you think it's okay if he drives for Uber.   Thank you.

Uber is a great side job and even full time job for many folks. My elderly neighbor can barely walk but he can still drive his ass off and does Uber just to get out the house. Not saying you’re mocking him, but for you to be worried about taking a picture being perceived as “making fun”  (combined with your crying laughing emoji in the title) tells me exactly where you’re mind was at on it. If he openly admitted who he was…clearly he isn’t ashamed. He probably would have loved to take a fan pic and still feel appreciated.

Uber, Lyft, Door Dash etc is all services I use multiple times a week and a respect and salute those who work the services. As an entrepreneur, I actually respect that type of job over one where you complete schedule is controlled by another human being…and usually one you barely like.

    Thank you.

As someone who works in the gig industry it never ceases to amaze me how many people look down on people like us.   I make a damn good living and I enjoy working whenever I want and for as long as I want.   I typically work 65-80 hours a week.   I live in OP, own two homes, married, and drive pretty nice vehicles ( 2021 Dodge Charger RT is one of ours ).   I make decent money doing what I enjoy ( driving ) and I have no boss other than the wifie :)   So in other words I do just fine.

Oh and no one was making fun of working gig jobs during the worst of the pandemic.   I was one of the few people on the road delivering groceries for Whole Foods during the entire pandemic, even when we were unsure how contagious or deadly covid was.

Wonder if he does it to meet people and be social or because he is hard up for cash

Some of you people make the worst assumptions about people and frankly it's none of your business.

Funny coincidence, meeting Kilgore like that.

Honestly, all sorts of folks drive Uber.  I know some lawyers that do it just to chat with folks and decompress for a few hours/week.  Lots of retirees too who drive here and there to add to their vacation funds or grandkids college funds or whatever.  I wouldn't assume anything about a given driver - there's a nonzero chance that they are in a significantly better financial situation than you or I am.  😁

He's picked me up a couple of times.   He mostly works in OP ( where I live ).    He's a cool guy.

Are you sure ? I'm surprised a VP would be driving uber.

"Kilgore is currently the Vice President of Public Relations for East Management Services LP an independent oil and gas exploration and development company. He and his wife Debbie live in Orchard Park and have a daughter Shannon who currently lives in Geneva Switzerland and is engaged to be married."

Why is driving for Uber only for the peasants?

  6. This happened just a few years ago --

I've been doing IT for most of my life.   I was employed at a local company and I happened across a listing for a local school district hiring near me.   I've worked in a few schools in my life, and I enjoyed it more than working at a private company....

I applied for the job and was subjected to several interviews including various members of the IT team calling my references and grilling them about me.    It was pretty crazy.    In the end I was hired - HOLY *****!!!! :)    Decent pay, state benefits, and some clout all rolled into one.   I was on cloud 9.   I could work the next 20 years and get a nice retirement, etc.   Add on top of that I just got married for the second time.   Life was looking up like never before.

I started the job.  Worked there a couple of days and was invited to an employee only lunch at a local joint.   I went and was witness to my fellow co-workers already starting to complain that they heard they are going to cut the size of the IT department down, and all types of other crazy crap.   I was like WTF is going on.   This place is C R A Z Y!    What I thought would be a stable environment turned out to be chaotic just a few days after starting....

When you start a job like this you are in a probation period.   You pay union dues BUT ARE NOT REPRESENTED by the union!! LOL !!!   Anyhow, I just had a feeling the whole time I worked there starting with the employee meeting that something just wasn't right.   My manager NOT ONCE in the 5 months I worked there ever took me aside to talk to me, find out about me, direct me to do anything.   It was bizarre.   Some of the guys never warmed up to me and of course there were a couple of clicks in the department.    This person didn't like this person, watch out for this one, watch out for that one, oh don't talk to him, blah blah blah.

I could go on and on about stuff that happened there, but I will spare you.   It was stressful, depressing, and a horrible job.   One of the worst I ever had in my life.    The job itself wasn't great, but the drama and bull#### made it unbearable....

At about the 5 month point I was called on lunch to come see the a couple of the people in charge.   I asked if everything was OK?   Do I have anything to worry about?  "Nah, you're fine, just got to go over paperwork" -- LOL...  I finish my lunch, nervously call my wife, then go see them.    I was fired on the spot but given the opportunity to finish my 6 months if I wanted to come into work instead of unemployment right away.   How generous...

I ended up burning my accumulated time off, then working about another 2 weeks.   I had to sit and stare at a wall.   No computer access, no phone use....    It SUCKED.

Oh and it turned out I was hired to replace a guy who got caught with child porn and was on his way to jail.    Also it turned out my position was never permanent.   They had to show a cut in the department before the next budget so they hired me only to fire me and protect the guy just above me in seniority who had been there a few years..  Unions !! :)   Oh and they never refunded me the almost $700.00 in union dues I paid.   You pay the dues but aren't a member for 6 months ... SCAM..

  7. I think Peterman is the worst QB I've ever seen in my life.   I've been watching the NFL for 30 years.   That doesn't make me an expert by any stretch, but I do have eyes and this guy sucks.  Noodle arm, no timing, no zip, no pocket presence...NOTHING.

How anyone can defend him at this point is beyond me.   I know our offense sucks almost all around, but would the results be any different if Peterman was the QB for the Rams, Patriots, Eagles, Falcons, etc???   I don't know what his problem is ..Mental?  Stage fright?  Frankly I don't care.  This is the NFL.   Rarely has a player this bad been given so many chances and I frankly don't understand how he didn't get cut weeks ago...

If it has anything to do with religion and faith I seriously will not watch another Bills game or be a fan until this entire staff is history...

You mean like when gutless Peterman wouldn't throw an FN Hail Mary down 28-0 on the last play of the 1st half?  Stupid and gutless!

Unless he threw an INT and it was ran 100 yards the other way, there is no reason in the world not to throw it into the end zone.   There was no time on the clock and we were too far out for a FG.   At this point I just turned the game off and watched a movie with my wife....

  9. How doesn't he get tossed for that?   That was such a blatant helmet to helmet that there should of been no doubt an ejection was warranted.   Pitts could have easily got a concussion from this.

My hate for the Patriots goes so beyond them just kicking our ass every year.   I can't stand to watch them, no matter how good they are, and I am someone who appreciates good football no matter the team, especially since Buffalo has been what they've been for going on two decades...

While I know Uncle Jim (along with the rest of those Bills) did more than his fair share of partying at that age, I'd like to at least think they were able to hold their liquor better than that. But yeah, they grew up before everybody had a video camera in their pocket that can send it worldwide instantly.

Fair share of partying?   WOW.  I was in my 20's when Jim and the boys tore up this town...The stories...The drug use...The beating up of women... UGH.   It was much more than a little partying.   TRUST ME...

Worst ever announcer. What the hell is the NFL doing? Last week I had "Good Morning Football" on as background noise and I heard some talking head dude fawning all over Jimmy G. I mean in a lustful way lol. It's  WTF happened to football?

    Welcome to 2018....

Don't make me mansplain it to you.   I might get triggered.
