  2. I am not sure who Vincent Gallo is, maybe he is from before my time...but I do know who JON CORTO is!!!

    Does Billdo "The Dildo" Simmons?

Never heard of Vincent Gallo? Rent "Buffalo 66". If your over 21, rent "Brown Bunny"

As for Simmons, he's a typical Boston homer. I don't bother to read anything of his.

  4. WRGB showing the Colts/Dolfags is the last straw for me. :o I'll take the summer to save up and switch to DirectTV in the fall.

When I do, I'll be sure to mention to Time Warner why I'm giving up my subscription, mainly that WXXA and WRGB wont play Bills games. If any of you are TW customer in the Capital District who are switching to DirectTV, let them know when you cancel your service. Maybe if TW start losing customers because if it, they may lean on the local stations about putting more Bills games on. It won't help you, but it might help those fans who can't swtich.

As for Doug Sherman's response to Andy, I'm not sure that I 100% trust Doug's explanation. I can't believe that NYC sets all of their programming. If that's true, why do they have a program director? It sounds like he's just passing the buck. :(

Thanks Griz! Will do. Happy Holidays.

  6. Courtney's is the Bill's Backer bar in Latham (just off the circle). Good food and the beer is not too expensive.

Also the Hill Street Cafe on Madison near the plaza is a good place too. They put the Bills game on the big plasma screen.

    ALSO:

I have to drive to Rochester during the game on Sunday. Does anybody know a radio station in the Utica area that will have the game? I have Albany, Syracuse and Rochester covered but I'm worried that I won't be able to find a signal around Utica.

  7. I picked up some dogfish head 120minute based on recommendations here and from a friend and it sucked.

Last time I listen to you snobs.

The 120 minute tastes like paint thinner. The 90 minute is where it's at. The 60 is very good also but the 90 is excellent.

Ithaca Brewing is making a Double IPA with 100% NY hops. Its great. Very smooth for a DIPA. Of course with a 10% ABV it might be too smooth. <_<

  8. Thanks to all who e-mailed Rich Becker. I did too but haven't gotten a response yet. I guess I'll head up to Courtney's in Latham on Sunday to watch the game. I was just hoping to use the new TV to see thegame.

Up until the middle of last yr, I, too, had DTV w/ Sunday Ticket & I agree w/ you that it is/was great.

Unfortunately and somewhat ironically, upon buying a new TV, since DTV offers such poor High Def programming (& required purchasing a $500 rcvr at the time), I was forced to cancel my svc.

    eSJayDee,

I was thinking about going back to DirectTV and gettingSunday Ticket. Why were you unhappy with their HD programming? Too few channels? Low quality?

  9. Great...like we haven't heard enough about TO's crap.

This is a joke - the only real NFL team in the state of NY can't even be seen in a market where there are more than enough Bills fans.

Well, I guess we shouldn't complain, after all the Cowboys are "America's Team".

  10. History says they always cover the Bills when there is not a conflict with the Giants on Fox23. There isn't really an atractrive game on Fox at 1pm that would be considered over the Bills, unless the Saints are now that popular.

I'm more worried about Dallas/Tennessee. They might want to get in on the "All T.O., All the Time" action.

  11. At least Flutie won games, helped the team get into the playoffs and was exciting to watch.  In the end it turned out he was right all along-he should have started ever game that both he and Rob Johnson were healthy for (and that didn't leave many games for Rob anyway).

Meanwhile, Holcomb does absolutely nothing for the good of the team by starting.  He might have a good game once in a while like the Cincy game, which was taken over by Terrance McGee, not Holcomb, but most of the time he'll just disappoint.  All Holcomb does is take time away from the team finding out if one of the younger QBs has what's needed to be a solid NFL starting QB.

While I doubt Holcomb will be the starting QB in the Fairchild offense, I can't wait for the day he is out of Buffalo.

So does this mean that you will be going to the Flutie Family Band concert tonight? :P
