  1. Ok I know there are a lot of people that love him, I also know there are a lot that want him gone. However I figured I would start a thread to see what does he have to improve in your eyes to stick with the Bills at the end of the season. I know there are some that will think there is virtually nothing he can do, but there are some that are still on the fence with him. So lets say from him as a player what do you need to see for him to stick around.

I am not talking about excuses like well if Sammy stays healthy or stuff like that, I would like my QB to be effective with whoever is on the field.

    Some of mine are:

Better anticipation on his throws, this is one reason why there is not a lot of YAC from these WRs, his throws tend to be late. This also hurts him with my third area I would like for him to improve on.

Obviously using the middle of the field, In this offense Clay has a chance to shine like all Owen Daniels (Clay is much more talented) has.

I would like for him to be much more effective against Man Coverage. Over the last two seasons, Taylor averages 9.3 yards per attempt against zone defenses (best), but only 7.1 yards per attempt against man coverage (fifth-worst).

Just a shorty Now if TyBo was 6ft3.. he would be aka franchise maybe... simple for me.. shorty

  2. I'm going to the Raiders game for my annual trip back this year. Pretty small group this year. I usually stay at the Marriott in Amherst, but we're toying with the idea of staying downtown. Anyone have personal preferences that they'd like share? Thank you!

    Go Bills

Stayed MArriottHArbortown for SFO game last fall A total BLAST GREAT BAR LIVELY!! check out the great new downtown.. . this year staying close to old homestead in SouthTowns . Hampton Inn Hamburg - check it out great $$ location #BillsMafia LeftCoast Chapter

  3. So, based on my personal point of view, it seems there are two different types of Bills fans on this forum.

    1. Fan's that want to win
    2. Fan's that want a QB

Here is a list of some things I have read from fans that just want to win:

    • Hopefully the new Owner / Coach / GM / Player does great and we win!
    • I hate the Patriots!
    • I hate the Jets!
    • I hate the Dolphins!

Here is a list of some things I have read from fans that want a QB:

    • Mortgage an entire draft
    • Trade the best players on the roster
    • Fire every Coach / GM that doesn't draft a QB every year
    • Tank every season until we find a QB
    • Cry about Bill Belichick lucking out on a reject QB
    • Wish that they were Patriot fans

Basically what I am trying to say is that I am not with the QB hunters, but I love all of your posts and meaningless rants about finding the next "Tom Brady". Us fans that just want to win are kind of boring, and hope everything works out. We occasionally blow up and rant about the entire Bills organizational failures, and then return to our winless hole.

So, to you QB hunters, I thank you for interjecting a QB type response in every single post to make it a little more interesting!

P.S. - I really like the Nathan Peterman draft pick, but can care less if he ever starts a game as long as we win.

Well stated. hey I'm old dude, started going to Old RockPile in 1960...feel good about these 2 young-uns Pegs hired with NFL credentials ,connections decendants of Character team building NFL coaches.

    jmho

    #BILLSMAFIA forever

  4. Hire Lynn As the HC as long as he gets a stud DC. This is despite his all time stupid call of the end around to Bush. Moronic call.

    Btw, off if the top of my head these are the idiotic things Rex did just today;

    1. 4th and 3 - don't go for it, instead attempt a 46 yd fg into the wind. Carpenter never is making that.

    2. Coaches challenge on an obvious catch.

    3. Allow for a 3rd 200 yd rusher against this year. This is a first in NFL HISTORY.

    4. Prevent/zone coverage on the last drive of regulation.

    5. Calls a time out after the ball is snapped on the field Fg

    6. The bush end round - maybe not his fault but he is the HC

    7. No balls ,- punts on 4th and 2 in OT

    8. Not only has 10 men on the field on the 57 yd run in OT, but does the same on the Winning fg

Players may love him but he's way too disorganized and has turned a #3 schwartz d into a joke

wack him now hes set for life

  5. For those of you who said it would be different this season. Yeah, right.

    • Stupid penalties continue.
    • Rex using up time outs.
    • Tyrod doesn't look like the answer
    • Every time they run to the right, they get stuffed, but that doesn't stop them from trying
    • McCoy is no longer a great RB, despite some of you saying he will return to greatness

Zero defensive line pressure and an offense that is the opposite of dynamic.

I'll be happy when the stench of Ryan is finally gone. Yeah, they are missing a bunch of guys on defense, two from injury, but let's face it, this is a bad and a boring team and they were facing a team that almost looked equally unimpressive.

    Disgusted.

    6-10, anyone?

you nailed the bullet points, my sentiment exactly..... I'm down with my pre-game 8-8 But good news that jerks, fish lost and pattycakes may get it 2nite

  6. After about 20 years as a journalist, including covering the Bills as a beat writer and a columnist for several publications, I finally decided to get some help and got a real job a few years back.

But they say even a recovering journalist is still a writer deep down, so I've been writing a blog, We Want Marangi (wewantmarangi.blogspot.com), for the past few years, and dual-posting on Artvoice.com for the last two seasons.

Linked below are my most recent piece, which covers a few things the new owner might want to ask his top football guys in the wake of Sunday's debacle.

Hope you enjoy, take a few minutes to click around the archives, which are stored on the blogspot site, and let me know what you think in the comments on either version, or here.

    Thanks,

    Dave Staba.

  8. The San Francisco Bills Backers meet every Sunday at the Northstar cafe, located at the corner of Powell and Green in the heart of San Francisco's North Beach. The Bills games are shown on the Northstar's 52" High Definition TV.

    San Francisco Bills Backers

Hey! Not a reply since 2006! I'm in Oregon. Heading down for the game Oct 7. Any activities planned or group tickets? Saw plenty for sale online. Been a long time coming.... To SF!

  9. Excellent question SIASL...

Because of an HD DVR receiver we got in Jan 2010 (hell, we're leasing it for crying out loud!), we're still "under contract" through February 2012. Don't think it mattered at all as far as negotiations were concerned. First rep offered the usual $20 off for 6 months. Ha! Wanna try again sister? Next tried to offer consolation prize of NFL To Go. So, let me get this straight...I'm paying for HD DVRs and I've got a couple of nice large flat screen HD TVs, but I'm gonna watch games on my friggin phone? That aint gonna happen. Try again...

Finally got someone who was receptive to some smooth talking and voila! - Free Sunday ticket, plus some HD movie package I'll never watch, and $30 per month off through January, and no additional obligation. Don't care about any movie packages since I've pretty much seen every movie I ever want to watch (I'm finished with "stories"), so I was happy to have $30 off of my $102 bill and free comfort-of-my-own-mancave Buffalo Bills/NFL in high def and surround. Bring on the season!

Thanks for all the info! Only took one call - just hung up with Direct TV. Used the local cable competition internet bundle and wife on my ass about saving $$$ story.... Since I was a loyal customer , Sweet Alice, lowered my bill $30 a month for 1st 12 months, $10 next 12 and gave me the ticket for 4 payments of $39.00. THX DTV. Call you next year!

  10. I am usually two busy with my business to watch much football but when the Jets is this good who can stop watching? I know the people here hate the Patriots almost as much as Jets fans do so I'm sure you are all pretty happy tonight.

I am here to extend an olive branch because I figure you guys could stand to root for a winner for a change. Back a while ago when I said the Jets are pretty much unvinceable you all laughed about that but who is laughing now. I tell you who is not laughing is Tom Brady that is who.

Also I figure it is good for you guys to root for a real New York team not one from the suburbs. You can go back to the Bills in Septmeber. This will be fun.

    P.S. J-E-T-S Jets JEts JETS.

Your Olive Branch was good for 1 game.. loadmouth downstaters -jits suck..., it was great watching pattycakes getting their asses kicked...but time for the jits to go down in Pitt.. GO Packers.. ..

  11. Being in Oregon, it's not like the Seahawks fans have anything they can say... It's usually just sympathetic pats on the back and actually sometimes get praise for sticking with a bad team for so long.

As an adult, it's in my DNA already, but I have to admit it's tough to want to try to get my 6 year old son bought in to the Bills

I saw one other Bills hat in our small remote town over the years..Once a BILLS fan always a BILLS fan..... I'm one of the 50 year fools.... people understand the loyalty aspect and just laugh, and they don't talk smack about em because there is no smack to talk!

  12. Just have a question for all you long time bills fans. By long time im talking like 30-40 years. Anyways, my question is: Has there ever been a lower point to be a bills fan? If yes, when? Just curious. Go bills :bag:

its deja vu all over again or is it all a bad dream, why did i renew the ticket, at least I have my DUCKS! QUACK ATTACK!!
