Julio Jones trade is best comp.  Falcons gave up their 1st, 2nd and 4th round picks then next years 1st and 4th.

And what did that insanity get them? A total collapse in the SB, and quick descent into irrelevance for years because they had two years with no impact draft picks. Bills desperately also need DL and safety help. Keeping their picks and getting McConkey or Legette, or one of those and maybe Pearsall as well would be fantastic. I'm glad no one posting here is the GM. Bills have too many needs. The Bills defense has been the main reason the Bills have not gotten the the SB. And this years version looks more suspect then ever. Gutting two years of draft picks is pure nonsense.

  2. The juvenile Clapp "jokes" got old in about 10 seconds. Easy to see why not many comedians have come from western NY. What is interesting are responses from the Chargers media absolutely roasting Clapp. I mean brutal. LA Times stated - "Herbert won't miss him, he's likely responsible for a good many of his trips to the blue tent". Ouch. Chargers Wire comments included, "Uninspired", "Turnstyle", "Subpar", "Destined for a career on someone's practice squad". Hopefully Kromer can work some magic.

I didn’t want any WR FAs.  The stats show that they usually underperform their contracts and we already have Kincaid, Diggs and Shakir.  We have the underneath stuff  covered.  Samuel is a 650 yards receiver who doesn’t win catch battles.  A Rookie receiver drafted 20-40 over the last 5 years has averaged about 700 yards as a rookie.  We need someone who can stretch the field, not another mediocre underneath presence.

Now play this out.  What will the people on this board say if we draft someone like Mitchell or Worthy at 28 and they drive Samuel to the bench?  What will they say when Samuel drops some key 3rd down catches, which he does with regularity?  They’ll say why did Beane waste money of this guy.

I was really happy with how this offseason was going, but these two terrible WR signings make me really wonder what Beane is doing for the offense.

I remember who you are now. Your the guy on the game day first half threads that always claims the games over after the Bills have to punt in the 1st quarter.

Von doesn’t sign here without Allen.

A bunch of other guys who who could

make more elsewhere have stayed, because we have Allen.

Without Allen, if given the choice, almost ever FA is taking close or a little less to play in a state like Florida.

The Jets, with the allure of NYC, couldn’t even compete with Miami for Tyreek Hill because of this.  Only reason Cali gets a pass is because of the weather & LA.

Ridiculous post. There's 3 teams in Florida and one in Nevada. Florida and Nevada ONLY have lower taxes because they are states that benefit from a huge tax on tourism advantage that doesn't exist everywhere else.. Period. The rest of the 28 NFL teams are generally in the same tax situation. How many championships have the tax advantaged teams gained from there tax advantage? Two in the last 50  years (Tampa) !! No advantage....  Big none story.

Again, I find it very funny to me how quickly everyone is to once again pile all sorts of money into the Defensive Line after years of running Beane over the coals for it.

Now it's just like - "big name FA?"

Hey - loosen up Mr. tight azz. Everybody has a right to dream a little. This is highly unlikely. But it's still fun to contemplate. It's what's great about sports. You must be great at parity's. I'm sure you've never bought a lotto ticket and dreamed a little? Go watch C-Span or something.

I'm worried that the Bills are going to change their uniforms for the stadium opening and do something "modern" that looks stupid.

Look no further than the Jets, Falcons, Rams, Lions, etc. -- don't fix things that aren't broken. Less is more.

Agreed, but I wouldn't mind the return of the grazing red Buffalo helmet permanently.  Or maybe make the Buffalo Blue to note a change?

  7. Not good when 75% of your D-Line are free agents, and you have no real money to spend to keep at least a couple of them. Beane's been a great GM, but his misses on his D-Line picks are coming back to haunt them. The Miller contract is atrocious. Let's face it, if Miller does not come back and play at least decently (Maybe 6-8 sacks) the Bills are going to have problems. Odd that the Bills are $50M over the cap, and the Chiefs are $24M under. $75M difference. Not optimal.

And didn’t get a good version of any of those teams. I’d say the bills and niners had solid games (as whole team grades). I guess that’s what happens when you have the best coaching.

Chiefs got a very good version of the Ravens. The Ravens just played stupid.

Not exactly.  We have 10/11 starters on offense returning and 9/11 on defense if Millet is healthy.  That’s not exactly needing everything.

Bills need 24 players... Far from optimal. Most being replaced with rookies and NFL bottom feeder players happy with a one year contract. All on top of having the NFL's 2nd toughest schedule next year.. Beane better be Houdini.

  10. Bills have an insane schedule next year. Basically playing ALL the best team in the NFL, many on the road. This list of needs looks insane for a team with SB aspirations!! And the hope is to fill these needs with rookies, and dumpster dive players on one year contracts? Good luck with that...  Plus Diggs looks like he wants to be a troublemaker. Next 5 months should be interesting.

  11. Doesn't matter what level of player Diggs is in 2024. Like Von Miller, were 100% stuck with them both. Sadly, were at the mercy of how motivated they are to even care. Looking back on 2023, I have serious doubts that they're all-in. Diggs seems more interested in a fashion/modeling career, and Miller a future GM. The checks will be cashed either way. Beane needs to kill the draft. Neither of these guys should be mistaken to have the character of a Kyle Williams/Jim Kelly.
