  1. Am I reading this correctly??

"The Broncos would have sent second- and fourth-round picks to move from No. 15 to No. 8."

Does this mean the Bills would get Denver's 1st, 2nd, and 4th? Or just the 2nd and 4th for Buffalo's 1st? If it's the latter, then Levy would had to be brain dead to take that deal.

Had to be the former. Tough deal to pass up, but what's done is done. The Bills had a couple guys targeted and did what they had to do to get them. We'll see how well it works out. I'm willing to give Marv the benefit of the doubt - I think he's earned that much at least.

  2. Since the Bills drafted their two first-rounders earlier than expected, does that mean that their contract negotiations should be easier? Are most contract amounts kind of already established by the pick/position? I'm not too familiar with the intricacies of these things, or where the Bills stand in relation to the salary cap; I'm just hoping they'll have some money left to play with. You know, just in case.

  3. I'll be there too! I had started another thread on Squishing the Fish before I saw this one:

If the Bills are ever going to show up this year and win another game, please let it be this weekend.

This year is (thus far) reminiscent of the year we pasted the Patsies in the first game, 31-0, then proceeded to fall apart the rest of the season. Looks like that way again, but I'd really love to see a win over the Dolphins. Probably the only game I'll be attending this year. I'll be doing my job as part of the 12th man, yelling myself hoarse...

    SQUISH THE FISH!!!

It would be great if something clicked in Losman or if Holcomb turned into Jim Kelly and we started playing some ball this weekend. The division is ripe for the taking!

My first Bills game was at Rich in the late '70s. We were losing to the Fish 9-7 and it looked like we might finally win one when Dempsey lined up for a late FG attempt... which he missed (by half a foot, as the joke went). Always nice to beat the Dolphins. I was a t Willis's coming out party in last year's Fish game. Sure would be nice to see him running all over them again this year!

  5. peacelovegreco ???? wtf is that?

Peace, Love, and Greco-Roman wrestling. All anyone needs to be happy. Well, that and an occasional Bills game on tape or DVD....

MikeG, I live in New Galilee (near Beaver Falls), and teach/coach wrestling at Blackhawk HS.

I got an e-mail from somebody and sent a reply, but I'm not sure who on here it was. Hoping to figure something out soon here...

    Jester43, do I know you?

  6. I'm a lifetime Bills fan living in Steeler country, and wasn't able to watch the game Sunday. I was following the scores online, but it just isn't the same as actually watching the Bills demolish another team. My mental picture of it wasn't even very accurate, because I didn't have a good memory of the throwback unis (LOVE them, BTW).

Would someone who taped the game be willing to send me a copy? I'll send you a check immediately for postage/handling/whatever. Send me an e-mail at peacelovegreco@yahoo.com if you can help me here. Thanks, and Go Bills!

  7. "I haven't gotten a chance to meet Chris Brown, but as far us co-existing, I think it'll be great. Everybody's just got to know their role," he said in the TV phone interview. "Whatever role the coaches give me or give him, it's a team sport first. I've been in a situation a couple of different times where there's more than one back on the team, and competition makes you better overall. I feel like if both we both understand that and the coaches let us know what both our roles are, then things should go good."

  8. Agree with almost all that was said (including Depp being a great actor and a political flop). Loved the Oompa Loompas - hilarious. I didn't think Wonka tried to stop the kids too much in the original either, though ("No. Don't. Stop."). I had also heard that Wonka had some sort of homosexual tendencies or something like that, but I think whoever was saying that didn't actually see the movie, because I didn't get that at all.
