Not sure if it was the camera angle but Tua looked chunky during practice.  Would have guessed he was a fullback.

No, it’s not the camera angle. He’s fat and out of shape, no sugarcoating.

He’s not even remotely fast, agile, or elusive to begin with…so you’re left with a fat statue in the pocket. Played out that way to end their season, not surprised.

Look, Allen turned it over 23 times, Mahomes 17. Meanwhile, he produced 44 touchdowns compared to Mahomes' 27. Would you give up six turnovers for 17 touchdowns? More to the point here, how often do you see these two sets of numbers presented together? Like, never? It's always some version of Allen as turnover machine, to the point that literally every comment or observation about Allen includes some note about his turnovers.

As for dropped passes, whose receivers led the league in dropped passes last year? If you don't know, it may be because the media didn't repeat the fact ad nauseum because it wasn't Mahomes. It was Allen.

And Allen also lost his coordinator, didn't he? In fact, he's on his third in three years.

All his career, Mahomes has been playing for an excellent coach with excellent receivers and an excellent line. For the first time, he has to do it himself, the way Allen has all HIS career. And the excuses pour forth.

Great post, and I completely agree with you. Sick to death of excuses made for Mahomes when he’s basically had one of the best situations for a young QB to walk into for his entire career.

    Love this! Haha 😆

My daughters grew up with Peppa, Dora, and to a lesser extent the Transformers.

They were really, really big on Peppa. Me and my wife didn’t mind watching Peppa with them, as opposed to something like Caillou (that used to grate on my nerves hearing him whining constantly). Nice blast from the past.

Have you been paying no attention? Rivera is TERRIBLE. Not only is his defense bad and nowhere near as creative as McDermott's, but Rivera is also a no-accountability guy. I live in the DC market and it was stunning to see how casual he was about losing.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of Ron Rivera. I’ve been critical of Sean McDermott, but the man can coach defense and generally puts together a sound defensive plan.

    Hard pass on Rivera.

All this time I have been trying to figure out who McDaniel reminds me of.  Then last night I was idly surfing the Roku and saw an icon for "The League," the show from around 2010 about a group of fantasy football players.

Tell me he's not a dead ringer for Rodney Ruxin, the league's most annoying owner.  I can't believe I didn't see it before, but apparently I'm not the first.

My wife said the same thing, lol. He really is a clone of Rodney. It’s really uncanny.

He definitely strikes me as a sharp dude with the X’s and O’s, and what he did with a small, weak-armed QB like Tua is pretty impressive. I think he schemed around Tua’s deficiencies.

That said, this does not seem like a leader of men. You can kind of tell some of the players don’t take him seriously. Someone that is going to inspire, lead, and a guy you’d want in a bunker.

The Dolphins missed the boat when they let Dan Campbell go, big mistake.

just curious- how did you have any meaningful opinion on Pete as a coach/person beyond simply unimaginative play caller?

he’s not shown any meaningful insights into who he is

From his time at Louisiana Tech as the QB coach when I coached with him? Anecdotal evidence and everything, but I learned a lot from the guy.

He’s been around the block and back again, for quite some time.

I didn’t see this posted so forgive me if it was but the Saints canned long time OC Pete Carmichael. He was the guy who Joe Brady started under when he was on Sean Payton’s  staff.
If Joe is kept  I could see a guy like Pete being brought in as QB coach since they are basically using a modified Saints system in Buffalo now and if he leaves you have a guy who has called plays in the league before.

Smart guy, I’ve always liked Pete. I wouldn’t mind bringing him onboard in whatever capacity with the team.

He’d be a positive force with Josh Allen’s continued development going forward and looking ahead. Good call, 78.’

I'm just going to take it one game at a time.

Same here, that’s the only way to be.

Can we please stop putting the cart before the horse? Let’s pump the breaks a little bit, let the team do its thing while cheering them on heartily.

Nothing wrong with optimism, but let’s wait and see how the games play out before prematurely popping the champagne corks and dancing on the ceiling as the confetti falls down.

Four separate sources talked? To “The Athletic?”

Again, I’m supposed to believe four people who are close enough to Terry Pegula to know this info all decided to talk anonymously to the ***** Athletic?

Anyone else having a problem with that?

Yeah, I’m not buying it. Awfully coincidental timing considering the unmitigated disasters that have played out these last few weeks.

    Pure rubbish.

Didn't one of the Eagles players (I forgot who it was) say he couldn't believe the Bills defense on the winning TD as the play is one of their favorites to run and the Bills should have been prepared for it.

    Yep, it was Jordan Mailata.

    Quote

“After the game, Eagles offensive lineman Jordan Mailata said he “couldn’t believe” the Bills were caught in a defense that led to a walk-in touchdown for Hurts.

Speaking to reporters after the game, the veteran tackle said the Eagles offense knew immediately that they would score the game-clinching touchdown when they saw the Bills line up on defense.

“Jordan Mailata said on the game winning touchdown that he couldn’t believe the Bills gave them that look,” the NFL Network’s James Palmer shared on X, formerly known as Twitter. “That play is a staple within their offense and when they saw the safety move they all knew Jalen would score.”

He passive aggressively throws his players and coaches under the bus all the time .

He never says “it’s my fault “.

listen to a Dan Campbell post game press after a loss compared to MCD.

MCD never takes any ownership and that is a sign of a terrible leader

McDummy holds everyone around him accountable, EXCEPT HIMSELF. It’s uncanny, really, how McWimpy just continually throws everyone under the bus. He’s a quintessential narcissist.

We will never win a Super Bowl with this bumbling, halfwitted, weaselly head coach. He’s gone after this year.

    I can’t wait until he’s gone.

What we see on the field from players is one cause.  The game-plan, in-game calls, players they select to play/bench and even draft/sign, and a whole host of other reasons impact the final result.

Josh is a part of the problem.  But he ain't the only thing wrong with that team.  This season didn't go off the rails beginning in week 1.  It's been coming.

Total overhaul of the organizational vision is required.  Not going to happen with this HC and GM.

    That’s where I’m at myself.

So I had an interesting conversation with the sibling of a Bills player (on defense) during the preseason.  They mentioned that Diggs was pissed because he didn't think the Bills were giving him an opportunity to hit his incentives in his contract with the plan on offense. That's why he and McD had it out.

I don't know how true it is, but that's believable to me.

I believe that, considering the McDermott regime. If we lose Diggs, it’s going to be some truly dark days ahead.

Whatever they do going forward, don’t lose your best offensive weapon.
